DK is just crazy. 4.33 with that stature…at some point it just becomes unfair & almost unrealistic. he‘s an absolute beast.
reminds me of calvin johnson. ran a 4.35 while being 6'5 236
and still isn't a top ten WR
@@anthonybasol3485 name 10 better receivers u want over him then
@@jamesstrong13 Davante, Kupp, Ceedee, Jefferson, Hill, Chase, AJ Brown, Ceedee, Diggs, are all better and you could argue that guys like Hopkins, Mclaurin, Deebo, Devonta, are better. It’s too early to tell but Garret Wilson put up better numbers with worse qbs
@@LORDSPOOKY ur fvckin trippin, I’ll agree with:
1. Davante Adams
2. Tyreek Hill
3. Justin Jefferson
4. Jamar chase
5. Aj Brown
But at the end none of these Wrs get doubled as much as Metcalf, you have to worry about Dk at all times when he’s on the field. His potential is way more higher than all Wrs in the league.
2:55 "Kevin White's ceiling is a little higher (than Amari Cooper's)."
Boy that aged disgracefully.
Floor is a 💥Bottomless Pit💥
though
Low key who is that?
@@henryvolk9132 just a fast nigga who had no business being 20 picks within the Blitinekoff winner and National champion Amari Cooper
Not wrong, but Amari’s floor was significantly higher.
That’s why he is not a GM anymore
Interesting to see that most of the slower runners are actually really good in the NFL
Body control, route running, strength, stamina, ball skills matter more than straight line speed
Anything 4.6 and under is very fast, especially if that translates to game speed.
@@Lance37a college level speed D-1 athletes
@@ChickenCaesarSalad route running is the most important getting open is what cause the separation
@@Lance37a 4.6 is slow bro
Never knew amari cooper was that fast
Hi dj
Yooooo it's dj
In that combine he was the best receiver dude was so smooth with it
Same here. He doesn't seem like a burner.
DJ wtf are you doing here?
Seeing DK run that damn fast is so funny lmao. He’s a big ass human being, so he looks like he’s stomping through the earth with each stride lol
That is what I thought. I could have sworn I heard his steps. He is a powerful runner. He reminds me of T.O.
And he has the worst start, and worse form out of all the ones shown. You can tell that he's fast but he's not used to actually doing wind sprints for time.
If he worked his start and his cadence he could probably run a low 4.2
"Built like a running back" for Deebo Samuel
Well that was prophetic
"Look how thick he is" 🤤
@@nottheoriginalhandle yeah man lmao this guy was getting a little too into his descriptions.
huge PAUSE lol@@nottheoriginalhandle
DK Metcalf is way too damn big to be that fast man.
Dawg as hard as he was stomping I thought he was pulling the earth towards him not moving forward.
Well usain bolt is 6'5 and look at him.
@@vsbcsherby yeah but Bolt also has more body fat and weighs less I’m pretty sure
@@vsbcsherby yeah DK is only an inch shorter than Bolt
@@SryJ9 The only downside to being that tall is your starts, because bolt is so tall his starts are pretty slow.
DK Metcalf’s stride length is insane 😮
His upright style is kind of strange
@@TheRealSlickRick63 - Agreed, but it works for him...
@@ago7212 for sure.
I watched him on Cowherd a few days ago. He's pretty serious about his game.
@@TheRealSlickRick63 - He has tons of talent, and seems to be a good guy. He has one opportunity, so he needs to maximize it and hopefully he does.
That time for Mike evans at his size is actually really Impressive
LOL you should see me
DK?
Strides are beneficial enough sometimes though
Dk claps his cheeks
they are all very impressive considering alot of these guys arent track stars. the get off is the most important part. just like any short distance race
I think it's funny that Adams and Kupp ran relatively slow but are now the best
Deandre Hopkins 4.57 too. It was the same way back in the day, Jerry Rice, Cris Carter, Michael Irvin, Herman moore. The 4 best receivers were the 4 that timed the slowest.
Nothing 4.5 or better is considered slow . Idk why people think this
Don't put kupp in the same sentence as Adams. Kupp plays in the slot.
@kifley19 Are you implying Adams > Kupp or vice versa. I'm curious. Personally I think Adams is the more talented reciever.
@@footba11fan41ife In comparison to the average receiver 4.5 is a bit on the slower side.
Reminder that Jerry Rice ran a 4.71 and became the greatest player of all time. The 40 yard dash doesn’t mean a lot
Multiple scouts that attended his pro day have said they timed him in the mid to low 4.4s. If Rice actually did rub a 4.71, then it's because he must've tripped or something
lmao cheater. what did he put on his gloves?
@@TheUltimateCrash1990 tom Brady a bigger cheater. But ya glorify him stop the stupidity. Stick em dont make you work hard dummy.
@@TheUltimateCrash1990 Skill and ball handling technique.
Deion Sanders and Darrell Green are the only two guys that ever caught Jerry from behind. Rice might not have had a 5th gear but he didn't have a 1st or 2nd gear either. He was always at full speed, he never seemed to down shift.
I like how Daniel Jeremiah was like Deebo is built like a RB 😂
He knew 😂
I mean that was literally obvious by seeing him and on the tape. He is a thick mf
"look how thick he is"
🤣
@@anthonygold20 I was about to say that I was thinking what da hell
@@anthonygold20”look how thick he is” is crazy
Nahh at 1:36 they called Debo Samuel thick💀💀💀🙏
AJ Brown and DK Metcalf both played at Mississippi. Can you imagine going up against those two in college?
Ole Miss got hit with recruiting violations during that time too.
FSU did and won
And Deebo Samuel
Don’t forget Dawson Knox and Elijah Moore were also on that team!
Lol if I was a CB in that conference I'd transfer.
Check please ☝️🧾
What’s crazy is DK could’ve gotten a faster time strictly with his form. He stood straight up rather than bursted out, which is hard to do when you don’t have blocks but still possible. That’s scary speed.
he was a track star, I'm pretty sure his sprinter form is legit for his size.
@TheGoatLocker nah fam I ran track also and dude is correct you can clearly see he stood up and literally took a step or 2 and went nowhere. He definitely could pull a faster time if he can get a better first step. Any sprinter or coach will confirm, the first few steps are truly the most important.
@@swappedoutZ71 I think it's a bit different for 40 yard because you don't have enough time to slowly accelerate to top speed. You need to unload the tank quickly even if it means not running as fast as possible.
@neptuneai8168 that's why technique is so important for the 40. Dude I was actually on a track team lol I'm not just babbling
@@swappedoutZ71 What you said about his starting steps is fair, but saying he shouldn't have gotten upright so quickly is not. 40 yard technique is not the same as 100m technique.
I think the 3 cone drill is more of indicator if a WR is going to be good or not. Short area quickness
And hands, ball skills, toughness!
DK said “huh”
If you look at the first 3 steps of all of them, some guys didn’t understand that those first steps is what separates a 4.5 guy from a 4.3 guy (which is why in game field speed is different from straight line speed). You have to explode out and you want your first step to not be under you, but about AT LEAST 3 yards out from the line. You basically need to leap out of your stance instead of simply running out of your stance. While making sure to still keep your stature low and your feet moving
Always a good day when throwback posts
Copper Kupp proves speed isn’t everything
Cooper*
@@cheetah2768lmao 🤣
Same with Adams
SO DID ADAMS
Yeah, never understood why they don't do this drill in Pads.
1:39 bruh the announcer did not just say “look how thick he is” but honestly he is packing a lot of 🎂

yeah i heard that too like what 😂😂😂
Deebo running “look how thick he is” 😂ayooo
Uh huh 😁 gave me " yes daddy" vibes from the white boy

Damn I ain’t know Scary Terry was that fast 😅😮
3 of the top 4 are Ohio state players, plus Michael Thomas, jaxon smith njigba, and the best player in all of college football Marvin Harrison Jr... arguably receiver U right now
between ohio state and bama fs
@@dowico7256 either bama or LSU

More proof that the combine means very little.
it just means high draft selection and that it is it
@@moalston4203hich in turn means WAYYYY more money for the individual players… :/ for them it can mean a lot, for them as football players its just a useless contest of comparison that at times seems like a medieval trade market… ill never understand the combine apart from the only things that make sense; interviews with the teams & position drills.
It only good for the guys not in bigger conferences that don’t get a lot of looks. I don’t see why guys that are all Americans playing Power 5 football need this anyway. A lot of freak athletes at the combine don’t pan out. Scout just need to turn on the tape.
*for wide receivers
DK is basically a Create your own Madden player, God level size and speed.
Can't believe he lasted until the second round 🤯
0:31 Juju farted
Not really ,he has terrible agility. He can only run in a straight line.
@@raynel8495 Said 'size and speed', nothing about agility.
@@ryanm7087 So he's not a create a player because when you create your own player they are good at EVERYTHING!
@@raynel8495 Well that's not realistic since no player is good at EVERYTHING. Who plays both sides of the ball? I think you're just extrapolating too much from what was said.
I ran a 4.6 hand timed in high school. But I’m 5’7” and weighed 135 lbs 😂.
These big guys being this fast is amazing
Perfect reminder for the Combine next week!
always an amazing day when NFL Throwback posts yessirrrrr
Even the slow ones look insanely fast
The Kevin white refrence😂
Was surprised to not see the 4.77 Jarvis Landry ran in this video because that’s not the 40 time anybody wants on their team but he still put up great numbers in the NFL
1:37 i'm not letting you get away with that bro
Kevin White...now the thought of him being better than Amari is hilarious
These guys are so quick and are still considered slow. it's actually insane. really goes to show how hard it is to be an NFL wideout.
first you gotta be blck and then you gotta be the best of the best. so it's really hard
1:45 pause and he is a rb
No yall Tyreek hill wasn't invited he went like 5th round
that really goes to show the combine and just to show off the skills in front NFL scouts but not the actual minicamp in July and actual games and preseason
This should be the Pro-Bowl events, just have them all go through the combine and watch superstars dominate practice
1:34 did i hear a deebo fart there? and DID the commentator really say „look how THICK he is“ or is my brain playing tricks on me?😂😂😂
Nah he said that shit loud and proud 😂
Nah he blew out air out his mouth.
There's a rising sophomore in my high school named Xavier Rucker and he ran a 4.46 time with out lasers. It's the craziest thing I've ever seen
Freshman at my school ran a 10.1 100 meter and can run a 4.3 or 2 he’s going into the 2024 junior Olympics dude could break usain bolts record
@@Messup7654 bro holy shit thats insane
@@goldenlemon4547 it’s crazy plus he took my cornerback spot he has some of the best genetics theirs a few other people on this planet like that
The slowest guy is an all star, but then again, so are some of the fastest. It all comes down to other intangibles and how each team choses to use their talents.
Deebo and a.j. are killing it rn and ran around a 4.5. Shows how important the 40 is.
4.5 is still fast.
I did not know that was Davante in the thumbnail lmao
I may be 150lbs and a sprinter, but flexing that I can beat tyreek hill in a 40 in pretty fun.
The fact that three out of the last four were buckeyes just shows how good they are
Look at how thick he is😂😂😂 got me dying
Funny that they said Debo is built like a RB haha
D.K being 6,5 with a 4.33 is unfair
I love the 40 yard dash that they do every year but people who aren't smart don't realize that there isn't that much of a difference between 4.5 and 4.4 there's little difference between 4.3 and 4.4 and so on and so on. In a game you have to account for a lot of other things when it comes to receiver speed as well. Fatigue Technique and assignment can take away from a receivers and DB's speed. On top of that for a receiver long speed is important but for the most part receivers don't use long speed that much they have to use techniques to get open.
this lowkey spot on and why I felt like the combine holds little meaning nowadays , half the drills don't translate to real game situation . you'll never get in a sprinters stance after you catch the ball and take off
Had a coach tell us there is speed and then there's football speed.
Yet Tyreek Hill seems so much faster than everyone. Dj Metcalf is fast on the field. Terri Mclaurin is scary Terri because of his speed not his looks.
@@rxndom.2I'm not an expert and I don't have a team but I always thought the combine was kind of funny because they just saw these men play 1-4 years at a university why is the combine important.
@@b.e.r.nnetwork8251 it's moreso for guys that are trying to improve their draft stock with measurables probably to make up for film
Olave, Wilson, and McLaurin repping the Ohio State Buckeyes at #4, #3, and #2! O-H!
Tyler Lockett was in a hurry getting to the line to start his 40 lmao

Route running, body control, making people miss after the catch are usually much much more important than straight line speed anymore
It's so funny hearing Mike mayock talk crap about Cooper kupp 40 time now knowing all the awards and ring he's gotten since 🤣🤣🤣. But Mayock has always been wrong so I'm not surprised
yeah, so funny to see now. was thinking the exact same. bro ran almost half a sec slower than DK but weirdly has more rings, SB MVP‘s and other accolades than him looool. hindsight is really a beautiful thing
He also said he thought Adams was gonna be a star so he hit that one
@@voiddcxi2630 well I guess he's made a few goods picks but there's videos about this guy getting it wrong in the combine or draft night

@@genius179 he still has elite speed and change of direction
DK ran with terrible form and still ran a 4.3
Ahhhhh, yes, straight-line speed! The best way to determine who's going to be a good WR and who isn't.......... 🙄
Like with all sports, there are hundreds of factors that contribute to a good player. There are 100+mph pitchers that can’t win. There are 7 ft tall basketball players that suck. There are incredibly skilled hockey players that never make it.
Of all the runners, Amari Cooper's running style is a thing of beauty.
funny that the one white guy is by far the slowest lol
He is more a possession slot guy though. Those guys just have to be faster than linebackers and strong safety guys.
it is because tyreek hill is better than kupp anyways
he got 1 ring 2 appearances
the NFL needs black people despite how racist they are jerry jones they don't want black NFL owners who can control part of the NFL and have power
