All the rain creates all that silty runoff, filling in those creek channels and retention ponds and that makes for lots more videos of you digging and clearing out lots more of that goopy mud!! Can hardly wait!!😁😁
The outside view was quite enjoyable. I sat back, sipped some coffee and imagined I was on my own land, in my pickup watching you clear it off like a boss.
There's something very oddly satisfying about watching such a big machine operate under such skilled hands. You always leave things looking so neat when you're finally finished.
It’s also fun when you increase the vid speed! I’m trying to catch up on viewing all contents and this cuts time and funny as hell if you turn on captions…🤣
Really enjoyed watching this work. Satisfying the way the 250 crunches trees. Very good video; looking forward for the rest of the pond. Detective Chris and his Volvo 250 excavator looking for the leak!
Your doing a great job bro, don't worry about the tree huggers, those trees need to come down. Keep doing what your doing, making America great again 👍🇺🇸
My Dad had a 40 acre pasture planted in pine trees. There is a 1 1/2 acre pond on that parcel that went dry after the trees hit about 5 years old. The base of the dam on one end was wet and I also thought it was leaking. When it was time to thin, I had them all cut and restored the pasture. The pond magically filled back up and has been full ever since. I’m told one pine takes in 80 gallons of water a day.
It's the damndest thing. Watching you work with the Volvo's sound in the background, is somehow surprisingly relaxing. It's really weird almost therapeutic.
Maybe it’s the refreshing change of seeing someone work where we don’t have to watch every move the boneheads make so they don’t screw the job up. Again!
You get better and better over the years, telling what you do, how and why. This allows me, who knows nothing about digging, to sit back, follow the journey and understand what is happening. Honor to you.
With the COVID I guess people are traveling less and spending more on their properties. Good news for letsdig18. I hope you have a lot of projects lined up and the weather cooperates.
Since the summer of 2-years ago, when it didn't rain for a single day, for three months straight, it has done little else other than rain. A big mobile wood chipper would be handy for those bits of trees.
Hello to you all from Ireland and from Greg GNP TH-cam channel. I really enjoy following this channel because it is self satisfying to always see a job finished properly 👍
Didn't think that the pond was going to be that big. Once you had them trees & scrubs out, nice. Waiting to see what she looks like when your done with her. Nice job.
I feel you on the rain. Our 2019 calendar year was the same way here in Minnesota. Constant rain and never enough time to dry out in between. Made for a hard planting and harvest season...along with a hard year to do outdoor work.
That will be a nice pond for the property owner once you get done with it. I know that I'd have tried to budget having you dredge the pond a bit deeper, to make it a nice swimming hole for the family! It'll be interesting to see what failed on the old overflow.
Hard to tell how loud the trees are when they snap off until you place the camera outside the cab. Bet the neighbors quite a ways away can hear them, especially the larger trees that basically explode when they snap off like @ 15:30. Anyway, looking forward to the future videos on this project once it dries out enough. Thanks for sharing Chris.
Much more interesting to see video shot from outside of your cab, you can hear the noise the trees make as you clear things out, more realistic, thanks for sharing work with us, it really interesting
It’s amazing how quiet inside of the excavator cab is. When the door, & window shut. You can really here the trees snapping and popping when the camera goes outside.
I hope to see what’s wrong with the pond and you fixing it brother! Keep up posted! 👍🏻 I hear y’all are getting some bad winter storms, praying for y’all! Awesome video Chris, keep you and your boy Winton warm my friend! Y’all stay safe! ✌🏻👌🏻
That 250 is such a beast when you see it from a distance!! It looks like a dinosaur eating tree's!! I love to hear all the noises of the trees and roots popping when the camera is outside the cab!! Volvo power!! Love it bro
Pond Master! Love your work. I've watched the last two year's vids and still working my way on back. Hey, that "little pond" is gonna be huge and deep when you finish! Keep on crunching....
Chris. It is alway's great watching you run that nice 260 excavator. She is a Getter Done Machine. It is also great to watch your smooth eye hand coordination in the 260 machine. Big Thank You for the ride along videos. Please Take Care around all Equipment.
Got to love the sound of those tree's snapping !! pretty decent little pond there, once you got it all laid down so, you can see it all again !! Coming right a long Chris, Great as always Man !! Have a Great Evening !! On too the Next...
You operate that machine like it's an extension of your body. If there ever was a ranking for operators, you definitely are an ace. I like the way it looks like a big o'l dinosaur chomping through those trees.
Chris I gotta say you are one of the best operators I’ve seen. I once worked with a man that could get a beer out of his cooler with his Cat though, he taught me a lot.
Love watching your videos brother!!! As soon as I’m getting a notification I’m clicking right on it!! Lol 😆 I’m Addicted I think I need help lol 😆 keep the videos coming
Every pond like that , that I have seen worked on was drained by cutting the levy waiting until a dry spell in the summer . When it dried well enough all brush pushed into the pond with a dozer burned . The pond would then be dredged by pushing the mud over the pond dam . Chris's way makes for a lot nicer finish
The pond looks real good now since everything is opened Up now.are you gonna dredge the pond a little Bit along the edge with the longreach? Another burnpile and a fire comming. Kool man.all excited why the pond is leaking.keeps ya busy Chris.👍
I really enjoyed the sounds of the break through. Much more impressive than watching the break through. Although I must admit I enjoy watching all your equipment run.
Chris.....watching your videos with Virtual reality goggles , sure adds a better perspective on watching your videos....as it virtually places you in the operators seat 💺 and with the view from the top of the machine.....also with the shots of the camera watching you....it’s like i am standing there watching my self.....so great 👍......keep them coming 🤙🤙🤙.
Chris, I live in NC also and I too just said to a friend, " I feel like it's been wet and rainy for a year. Sure want some sunshine to dry things up. Can't believe I got hooked watching a man play with his toys.
Look at you. Thinking ahead about the next shot for maximum bang! You may have a future as a producer! Seriously, I enjoy those wide shots. It gives a better sense of all the movements involved in what you’re doing.
Great lookin work .... hoping to start clearing for the first road project of the year next week so i can burn it before fire season starts .... its alot of clearing! ..... If I'm working i dont dwell on winter so much!
At about the halfway through your video with the camera in the field, your machine bore a striking resemblance of something out of Jurassic Park having a meal!
Always amazes me as to the difference between the begining and the ending of each project. Pond looks so different with all the trees gone. Look forward to hearing what caused the leakage. To me, based on past experience, ponds are nice to look at but not to own. The pond we once had, wasn't built for maintenance. Current owner has let it turn into an environmental experiment. Almost dry now due to current drought.
Well Chris one thing about it you know the pond has a hard bottom in it it looks like it’s got a good clay bottom in it. But anyway brother you and John and yawls families stay safe and keep the videos coming and if I was in people I would let y’all dredge that pond out from the waters edge back to the bank at least 3 foot deeper
Like a big old dinosaur ripping stuff up. Excellent. The sound the trees make being ripped out
There's something very oddly satisfying about watching such a big machine operate under such skilled hands. You always leave things looking so neat when you're finally finished.
The 250 is a low end machine. Bigger than a mini but still small.
excuse me......a tiny machine with a 4 foot bucket ......my bad
That's where all the rain has gone! We've been in drought for three years where I live. Many years before that too, followed by a little break.
Those trees came down very easily!!!! The pond looks very good now!!!!!!
Another great job from the “ Pond Whisper” 👍
Cheers from Costa Rica. This is my favorite channel now, cant describe how I enjoy the rescue ones. Keep on digging

Actually beginning to morf into a pond. Enjoy watching you work your magic. Thanks.

The Lake is making a comeback and wants its area back. A Larger Lake is Great for Habitat. 👍
The pond is looking a million times better already! 👍👍👍
I just marvel at how effortless you make operating the 250 look. It's almost like an extension of your hands. You are a great operator!

Hello to you all from Ireland and from Greg GNP TH-cam channel. I really enjoy following this channel because it is self satisfying to always see a job finished properly 👍
Plant some greenery to help keep the pond clear. That is why wetlands have swamp plants and other plants around them, it keeps the water purer.
Love that crunch and crack sound. Means progress.
Chris you don’t feasted anytime getting it done! Thanks for sharing. Kevin

Good evening from central Florida! Hope everyone has a good night!
Looking good chris. Pond is coming along well
Snapping those trees off sounds like total carnage destruction...COOL!!!!
The sound is awesome. You could draw the attention of the Ents tho with all that noise and they’d be pissed.
Great video bro, looking forward to more videos on this pond. Safe travels
G’day from Australia
Don’t complain about rain!!!

Lot done in a few days. Enjoyed hearing those trees snap. Can’t really tell how loud they are until you set the camera outside.
Hey Chris. Just saw your truck here on rt1 in norlina nc hope you got an easy job where ever your digging. Be safe.
Has to feel good to have the power to break 10" 12" trees. This reminds me of pulling weeds when I was a kid. Except for this looks like fun.
I love that crunching sound! lol 😂
..good job, looks great, have a good week and stay safe..

That Volvo sure is quiet running. And sound proofed. Lots of brute power too. That is a nice machine.
It's been cold and rainy over here in Australia too. Supposedly it's a La Nina year, which means cooler temps and more rain.
I would take the rain you had over 12” of snow we had here in pa. Like your channel
Got to agree with you on this one❄❄❄
Thank you for clarifying about the trees. I think you might have another saying for a t-shirt, crunch!
