I don't know why but I love that when the Moon base voice is out into song, it pronounces some stuff "wrongly" according to normal singing. Like saying "love" and "luhv" and "world" as "werrld."

He’s fairly young for an astronaut, he’s in his late twenties, he lives alone and doesn’t get out much , and he finds himself feeling unsure about life. He’s going on a solo space mission, and when he lands on the moon, he looks up and sees the earth, and he starts singing to it, asking if what’s out there if you open up is really worth it and letting go of his cares.
Imagine this song playing as one of the astronaut is having fun with his friends but over the years the game starts slowly dying and he doesn't stop playing, watching as the servers die and he's the only one playing, looking back to the main menu and leaving, as the last player who ever played moonbase alpha.
I think the moonbase alpha tts adds an extra charm to the song. Since its a speaking program, and not a singing program, It holds "er" and "ey" sounds (diphthongs) way longer than sounds natural. When someone is being trained in singing, not stressing diphthongs is one of the first things you practice to make the singing sound more natural. It adds to the idea that the robot is struggling and only recently has "found his voice".

Honestly, this song is really beautiful. The original song is actually on a playlist of mine, and this remake is just as good. It just brings so many memories of playing moonbase with the boys and hearing someone using it for a cover in 2020 makes me tear up a little and miss the old days. Thank you for this masterpiece

It was a great game, it used to have tons of servers and a nice community...
