I'm a lifetime oily skin gal who's now oily + mature (54 years old), so I've got the grease slick, large pores, acne scars AND creases, wrinkles, sags, texture and "how did that just appear overnight?!?" lines... So when I saw the title of this video I couldn't click on it fast enough. I'm watching closely, and I'm not gonna lie, after trying dozens of foundations that past couple years, I am critiquing your choices very closely (but always with lots of love and respect for you). So, like it or not, here's my feedback:
Givenchy - Yes, the finish was 'natural' looking on my oily skin, but actually did get shiny after about 3 hours of wear. It held up well on my nose though, and that's a big deal. Pricey, but I've no regrets trying this one.
Prada - I haven't tried yet, but maybe one day...after I win the lottery.
Urban Decay - Wore really well on me, but it did look 'makeup-y' starting around 3-5 hours of wear during the AZ summer months.
Lancome - Spot on. Looked natural and lasted well for about seven hours before breaking down on my nose. I found one layer to be more medium coverage, but a second layer brought it up to full coverage. I actually stipple it with that fabulous Anisa brush and then dab off the excess with a lightly damp sponge.
Fenty - Yes! This is for my light coverage days, but my nose gets very oily with powder foundation. That said, it never looked makeup and wore off beautifully as the went on and allowed for quick touch-ups to reinforce coverage. I also like to use it over liquid foundation when I need a little extra coverage. (I need to watch your video on locking this one down. Somehow I missed that video.)
Haus Labs - Sadly, no. By the time I finish applying the rest of my makeup my skin is already looking downright shiny. It does, however, mix beautifully with Estee Lauder to create a more natural skin appearance.
Milani - Yeah. I like it...quite a lot, actually. It lasted well on me and didn't break up, but it definitely looks like I'm wearing makeup. During the day, all I needed to do was blot my face with a tissue or napkin to make it look good again.
Loreal - Yes! This is actually my 'travel foundation', but I had to buy two shades to get a good color match. I wholeheartedly agree with you that they need to expand the shade range. It looks great under the Fenty loose powder.
Maybelline - YES, YES, YES! It's my favorite drugstore foundation. (I strongly suggest buying an inexpensive pump off of Amazon.)
Estee Lauder - YES, YES, YES! I will never part with this foundation. It mixes with EVERYTHING, and I use it to help me match foundation colors as the seasons change. It's my OG.
See....this is why I trust you so much. You simply know what you're talking about! But I do have a couple more suggestions:
About-Face The Performer: This is the only foundation I've ever used that actually looks better three hours after application than it does when I first put it on. It also wears off in some magically 'natural' way that never leaves me looking blotchy. I don't know what science or witchcraft is involved, but this has become one of my holy grail foundations.
Pat McGrath Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Foundation: So expensive! So worth the expense! This is the only foundation I've ever worn that fooled my husband into thinking I wasn't wearing any foundation. It's not the most long-wearing, but it fades in a flattering wasy and I find myself reaching for it on almost a daily basis now and I even wear this one to the gym. This has become my daily go-to for now.
Thank you for all you do! Your videos always bring joy to my week!

Some of my favorites! I’m an oily-combo skin; the House labs works really well for me, especially in the cooler months. Double Wear is my all time fav! I wore it on my wedding day! Plus, I love that it’s usually part of the Ulta 21 days of beauty so I usually get a fresh bottle then!

I'm getting older! I have combo to oily skin and have found that most foundations settle into my pores. Even after I prep with the correct skincare and primer. Meh. So against all of the makeup rules, I use that Charlotte Tilbury stick foundation that it super shiny. But I feel like it doesn't settle in my pores, and it gives me the glow even after I powder it down. Great video as always. And it's ok, you can say "y'all"! @ninipookie I use the Ulta brand Matte Eye Primer it’s the best one I’ve tried I set it with a powder or skin tone eyeshadow and last me all day I have oily eyelids too, I tried looking it up on the Ulta app and is no longer showing but I’m thinking the store may have whatever is left of them I’m going to go see if I can still find some because this has been the best one I have ever found. Mac Cosmetics makes a paint pot my skin tone in Soft Ochre or Painterly and I’ve used that before and it works great I tried the Ulta primer then the Mac paint pot on top and then set it with powder and slept through the night🤭 on New Years with eyeshadow and it didn’t budge woke up the next morning eyeshadow was intact. Hope this gives you some options.

I’ve tried so many foundations and the best for my combo normal/oily skin is Armani Luminous Silk & Power Fabric. For drugstore it’s L’Oreal True Match. I have extremely oily skin and many of the foundations you recommend do not work for me. Maybelline Fit Me, Loreal Infallible, Milani Conceal and Perfect, Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear all looked very heavy and pasty for the first 2-3 hours and then went streaky and cakey once the oils hit, and disappeared in patches. Lancome was the worst, it barely survived an hour. Givenchy Caring Matte was a bit better, but made my pores look even bigger than they are. Longevity mediocre at best.
Fenty - I can make it work, but with special care like double powder, fixing spray, regular blotting. EL DW is the only one on the list that actually is worth the hype for me - although it demands proper prep, exfoliation and good hydration, otherwise it does not look good. I have not tried UD, Prada or Haus Labs from the list, and I won't (don't have my shade or not available in my country).
There were only three foundations I ever repurchased regularly, all discontinued: Too Faced Peach Perfect, original Dior Backstage, and Clarins Ever Matte. I still miss all of them.
My current best foundations are: the new MAC Studio Fix and the Beauty Blender foundation.
