It's emotional because the lyrics are real - it's not just a song, each member's part is how they were feeling in 2019. We saw a lot of shit happen in real time that year, so this song coming out after all these sad events and intense uncertainty... it was cathartic. For them and for us. That and of course it's a bop, so that didn't hurt lol Anyway though in my opinion 13:58 is one of the smoothest formation transitions in kpop. They mimic the Dahyun/Sana scene with all the faceless people walking between them and suddenly at the back in the same place that Dahyun just was is Jihyo. It's over so fast but boy it's smooth. Like a magic trick.

For exmaple, she mentioned she would wake up and her jaw was hurting (qlenching your jaw while asleep is a symptom of extreme stress) and trouble sleeping (hence why she has written songs like up no more). Sana was really sad that year because of a comment she once made about the end of an era in japan (basically japan works around eras and at that time one had just finished and another one had started). Dahyun was getting sick throught the world tour but she pushed through. All of them were extremely tired and you could tell by the video clips in their documentary"seize the light" so if you ever got a chance, you should watch it since it shows how their world tour really went, at least from their pov. Yeah so basically it was a pretty rough.
