- The Toyota Yaris was Ireland's 3rd best-selling car in 2021 and it is also the reigning European Car of the Year. But is it worth the title and is it the best car in its class? Paddy Comyn reviews the Toyota Yaris Luna Sport Hybrid for AA Ireland.

The Yaris is a great car, indeed it always has been. I have owned several Toyota Yaris cars and they have never given me any problems. This hybrid version is good but is pricey. I suppose you get what you pay for. It will never give you trouble. As long as it has an engine, I am happy.
I had the chance to drive a Yaris GR sport edition. Not the GR Yaris( which is a different beast altogether) and was very impressed. Stiffer suspension, improved handling, decent interior spec and standard options, sporty responsiveness. Excellent mpg. Brilliant little car.

Back to 3 cylinder, does it give a raspy sound starting off at low speeds?
This is a lovely car but not as good as its rival Honda Jazz. The space in the back of the yaris is much smaller, and they don't have magic seats like the Jazz. The storage between the 2 front seats is also not as good. There is only one port for charging devices where as the Jazz has a few in the front, and also in the storage compartment and in the back of it for back seat passengers. Its a shame but otherwise the Yaris is a good car.
Better than a Suzuki swift?
