Until we are aware of our own behaviors and our own doings, and fully conscious of them, then you will never know what everyone else sees. Unfortunately, we are all programmed to be a certain way. Right from birth. Whatever we surround ourselves with, whatever we hear growing up and whomever we surround ourselves with (by choice or not), without even knowing it, we are subconsciously taking in everything around us. Until we come to grips on what we subconsciously take in, we can never consciously work on the information we subconsciously take in or out or consciously want to take in or out of us. The mind is truly something special. The mind is VERY powerful. Our minds are much more powerful than anything or any substance on this planet. The power of belief.

Long story short I never blamed anyone for my decisions..i made them and no one else thank God I still have my family and friends in my life but I know it's goin to take alot of patience on my part to earn there full trust and love back

Addiction is crazy like that you just have to understand it rather than being on the other side about it. Put yourself in the shoes of an addict and walk that walk you don't want to walk anymore but your feet continue moving on without your ability to make your own choices... Except for more more more.... Takes one to know one. . . 😏
The Color black. It is a bad life choice but he has to make the decision to fix up . I feel the more people try to run his life the more he will push back .
Bam please get the needed help for yourself. And always remember there's no love like a mother's love. You're gonna miss that lil "irritation" when she's gone baby, So, Keep praying for needed guidance toward healing yourself and family...
Ive been sober for 3 years. Speaking from over 15 years of abuse, you cant just grow up. Its either you hit rock bottom and start to rebuild or you just dig yourself a deeper hole and blame everyone else for your problems. I never considered myself a addict until recently when I looked back on the wreckage ive done. Its never too late to restart your life. Lets just hope he gets better and doesnt destroy his positive relationships.
It feels like he is stuck in his teenage years when he had no boundaries from his family. He built his career on not having any boundaries or limits. Destroying everything, shocking everyone, doing crazy stuff. He made millions doing that. Feels like he can’t cope with adulthood (not a lot of people can, I sure have issues myself). No shade here or offense, but I thought he was gay since Jackass days for some reason. I was actually surprised that he is married to a woman 🤷🏼♀️ I wish him healing.
I don’t know, he was giving me the vibe for years. He was cute, adorable and very feminine in such an aggressive and masculine environment which skateboarding still is even now. Not getting yourself aligned with your sexuality and living in denial can break you. I thought he was dating the dude from Him band. He looked super happy that time. He’s on third marriage at 39yo. It’s just my observation and my opinion. If you don’t agree it’s ok 🤷🏼♀️
I thought he might have been gay myself. He is wearing a thong while skating in cky3 or 4. Under his jeans; not like out in the open as joke like Christ pontius.
I am just putting bits and pieces together from all the available info I have. It doesn’t need to be black or white. He could be bi and that can be confusing. The pressure society puts on itself is incredible. He seemed never really be into his wifes. Minimum affection and care. When I saw a montage of Bam and that Finnish singer. They were all over each other. Hugging, holding, snuggling, smiling, happy. He is definitely able to deeply connect with men. Plus Dunn’s death on top of that. It seems like he didn’t really have good friends he could trust besides Ryan. It’s really complicated. His current state is a combination of so many things.
Bam really let himself go, he has destroyed his brain with drugs and alcohol, I hope he gets sober like stevo and Andy Roy. He was really big into crystal meth that drove him over the edge.
@@BiG_SorD Most people experience multiple major losses in their lifetime. That's not really an excuse tho, cause everyone handles things differently. My guess is he would have headed down the same path tho, he's always been a bit crazy and disrespectful to his family. And he was already doing drugs and alcohol before Dunn died.
Also, check out some of his old buddy Brandon Novak's addiction videos, I thought he was a lost cause and he has turned it around in a spectacular way. Bam needs to follow his lead.
@Killemall how? If you do not understand my situation, then how does my words counterdict themselves? I have had people irritate me to the point where I get so irate, mad and upset...yet those same people tell me that I am not supposed to be irate, mad and upset by them or by their actions to me? NO WAY! HECK NO! WRONG NUMBER!
"Boundaries"... As in "give into all of my demands or I don't want anything to do with you" Your family and friends have every right to question what you're doing and if you're on drugs and asking the people your with on what's going on. Addicts lose a sense of privacy when they're constantly off their rockers.
Horseman Secretariat EXACTLY!!!! Dr.Phil is letting him put the blame on everyone else when they have done nothing wrong. Kind of at the point where he's never going to get help. He wants to blame everyone for his problems that he created.
@@katyacarmichael8913 it was kind of odd that Dr Phil was letting Bam go after April like she's the problem. She's clearly checking on him to make sure he's not hurt or even worse...dead. Sounds like he doesn't want anyone poking in on him because he can't drink and do drugs whenever he feels like. They both went in on April which doesn't make any sense.
My mom knows NO boundaries, except the ones I enforce. She doesn’t have to like it. I need my sanity. I know EXACTLY what Bam’s talking about when he says his mom doesn’t listen. My mom treats me like a two year old, and I can’t deal with it.
As do I, I completely understand. My mother crossed every line imaginable in terms of when I was in a past relationship, but I was fortunate enough to be able to sit her down a few years ago to talk and she ACTUALLY listened to me. She’s stopped being a “just-no mom” and respects my fiancé and I’s relationship, no longer sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong and I thank her for that. But I know that so many mothers (and some fathers) out there never stop, even after begging, pleading, or talking, so sometimes ppl are forced to go full no contact or have very little. It’s sad that grown adults have to do that with any parent, but sometimes there’s no other option. I feel for you, I know what it’s like. I do hope things get better between you and your mom!
I think Bam and his mom have a dysfunctional relationship, but she has managed his finances when he has been financially irresponsible. In some ways she has kept him out of trouble and in other ways it's enabled him.
Bam will never listen to anyone. He made millions on going against the grain, making people mad, and never listening to anyone. The dude is still worth 60 mill.. he’s gonna do what he wants.
Sarcastic Father I know he had that successful tv show and skateboarding outside of jackass and I know what a google search will say but I still highly doubt that. Maybe like 1/6th or 1/4 that.
This makes me so sad because I remember 15 years ago watching his shows and thinking how awesome he was and how funny and productive he was with the Jackass crew. Ever since Ryan Dunn passed away it seems as though Bam started going down the wrong path in life. And going down the wrong path can become mentally challenging to look up from especially when you have no hope for the future. I feel bad because he knows exactly where he’s at in his life and I’m sure he wants to change for the better-but addiction takes lots of focus and motivation to move on from. All we can do as his fans is encourage him to do better with himself. Once you’ve hit rock bottom the only direction to go is back up.
@@josephjahn2239 Theres a long record of irresponsible celebrities pissing away their fortune...if Bam does in fact have transient strangers living at the castle, I'd say they're probably leaching away his money.
@@dc76384 you are right. I am wrong. Doing drugs with vagrant yes men is a sure way to end up broke. Hopefully he doesn't, I hate seeing people throw it all away.
He cuts right to it. I just learned i had zero boundaries. All evil this last decade.....no more. I had to fall down to get up stronger with major depression, anxiety and ptsd which ive suffered with for years and finally feel control. People that put themselves out there under challenging circumstances are pretty strong to do so.
Everyone needs to understand. He's not "acting like a child." He, by his own choice, destroyed his brain with drugs and alcohol, and permanently damaged his brain. He also probably hit his head a lot, and it's possible he fell asleep one point with a concussion, thus impairing his speech. He's also clearly going through some withdrawals or is currently high/drunk on the show, making his speech and sentence structure very limited. But regardless. Bam's brain is permanently damaged. He's able to express himself, and emotions like remorse and self reflection, but the anger and defensiveness are more of an intense emotion to feel. He's trapped within himself. It's so, very sad to see. And so much love and support Bam's way. I've been watching his life on screen since I was a kid. So glad he's reaching out for help ❤️❤️
You make a valid point. However, without him being sober, medically treated; medicated by a physician and psychiatrist - with the accurate diagnoses, there's no real way to tell at this very moment where he is cognitively, socially or mentally. There could also be underlying personality disorder.
@@VelcroPajamas Absolutely. 100% in agreement. My point was more that, he's not choosing to act immature because he necessarily wants to, but because he can't help it, and to list a few of the many reasons why. Him having so much untreated trauma is bound to create a form of disorder in relation to anxiety and depression. Cheers 🍻
@@VelcroPajamas I won't deny his emotional immaturity. He's limited to the age he started doing drugs. Dr. Phil said something like, "You can develop intellectually and physically, but you didn't develop proper coping skills by abusing drugs and alcohol." And compared it to emotional maturity with age. I think the same thing kinda goes for Bam. He's got the emotional maturity of a 19-22 year old boy. 🤷♀️
People love saying he acts like this because he lost Ryan Dunn but we've all lost people before, some even more horribly than he did, yet we somehow managed to live life and maintain ourselves. When I was just 6 years old my father was an alcoholic and blew his head off in the back yard with a 12-gauge and I was the one who found him. Three years later at 9 years old I found my mother deceased on the couch from a drug overdose. I then went through numerous foster families, all of which had some kind if issue (physical abusers, alcoholics, drugs), yet I still made it and I was NEVER like Bam. I've been married 35 years now to the only woman I will ever love. You can't always blame bad behavior because of past trauma(s). Today young people's lives are easier than any other time in history and most don't have the first clue what real hardship is.
The issue is Bam wants to live like he's 18 or in his 20s again when he has a family and he's not able to live up to his families expectations now that he's a grown adult and needs to frankly, grow up. It's not that the expectations are hard to meet, it's that he's not willing to compromise and communicate like an adult.
It’s really sad to see how bam and April’s relationship has Deteriorated, they used to have so much fun with each other and were so happy, now it’s like he hates his mom and wants nothing to do with her, it’s really sad
I can relate to Bam We get caught in a downward spiral and it's so easy to fool yourself into thinking we are happy but deep down WE ARE HURTING BADLY. Stay strong brother 👌🏻
I don't know if it's from drugs, concussions, a mental break down or just a genetic predisposition but Bam clearly has permanent and assumably irreversible brain damage. Regardless of if he gets sober or not
Only thing that kept me alive was my 5 year old son as well. I understand what he is saying by what he went through and what he lost. I lost everything and I wanted to quit and die but I have someone that is counting on me so I kept fighting to get well for my son now things are getting better and I’m getting my life back in track. Life isn’t easy and sometimes god puts you through tough times to help humble yourself
As a parent a child and someone who once struggled with the same issues I can understand everything except how he can continue to do this this with his son around I wish him and his family the best and am not religious but I do pray he finds the strength to get back up
C'mon bro your mom is being a mom and that's loving you regardless. She looks worried and that's exactly what a mother does also. The probably definitely isn't stemming from her looking out for your best interest it's from the drugs and alcohol.Nothing wrong with accepting it and changing the issue.

Yeah the drugs have straight up taken over his mind like a parasite.

Addiction is crazy like that you just have to understand it rather than being on the other side about it. Put yourself in the shoes of an addict and walk that walk you don't want to walk anymore but your feet continue moving on without your ability to make your own choices... Except for more more more....

Im so glad i can comment. I saw the pain in April’s eyes as soon as she hopped on facetime. 😞 i wish the whole family nothing but the best.
I was actually surprised that he is married to a woman 🤷🏼♀️
I wish him healing.

He is a manchild.
Bam really let himself go, he has destroyed his brain with drugs and alcohol, I hope he gets sober like stevo and Andy Roy. He was really big into crystal meth that drove him over the edge.
jeep girl if Duane Peters and Andy Roy can get clean so can he, he just doesn’t want to.
Or the simple fact he suffered major loss in life multiple times that drives you to mental breakdowns
Jeep girl would you marry me
Also, check out some of his old buddy Brandon Novak's addiction videos, I thought he was a lost cause and he has turned it around in a spectacular way. Bam needs to follow his lead.

Yes, my ex girlfriend had BPD, she could be frustrated at the most simple things, and she would become triggered at seemingly nothing. I do see it.
We are all praying for ya Bam. I hope you can get sober and heal your soul and your family.
At the end of it, i really hope he pulls through and becomes a happy guy. Huge part of my formative years and gave joy to a generation.
"Boundaries"... As in "give into all of my demands or I don't want anything to do with you"
Your family and friends have every right to question what you're doing and if you're on drugs and asking the people your with on what's going on.
Katya Carmichael bc dr Phil isn’t a real doctor
Cheryl Clark Thanks.
I think Bam and his mom have a dysfunctional relationship, but she has managed his finances when he has been financially irresponsible. In some ways she has kept him out of trouble and in other ways it's enabled him.
The difference here is her son is a crazy abusive drug addict who's gonna die. MAAAAAJOR difference.
Well he not stable mentally , if he acted like a adult maybe she would let him be
Bam will never listen to anyone.
Bam looks like that uncle guy they used to make fun of.
Don Vito
Ya don vito! Lol
Yeah it seems like half the problem with him is genetics. His entire family line looks like this as they get older.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Its called genes glad people use anybody for ego strokes
It hurts seeing April hurt by Bam's words😓
Bam. You need to decide. Do you care enough to be a family man? Or do you love partying enough to give them up completely for your partying.
That's the question to put an end to this
Absolutely NO sympathy for this clown. He acted like a child with an endless credit card for over a decade and bathed in drugs and alcohol. Grow up.
In the end he'll die broke, with nothing to show for what he's done in life.
That's a bit harsh. Not sure what the hostility comes from but I highly doubt he'll end up broke. I agree he's a big baby though.

My 12 y/o behaved this way. He is 26 now, I would knock his face off if he behaved this way.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Cheers 🍻
@@Sunny_psyche He definitely has a lack of insight that is quite frustrating.
Good observations, glad you didn’t bring up Ryan Dunn since bam has been abusing drugs long before his friend passed

You’re right he doesn’t act like this because of Dunn but the substance abuse and alcoholism started as soon as Ryan Dunn died.

So sad. I remember being enamored by this dude's life and it's rotten now.
