a name idea i had for Lure was Polyphony (or something else that sounds similar) In music a Polyphonic melody is a melody that plays at the same time as the main melody and contrasts or harmonizes with it. sometimes they join up together well and sound harmonious together and the listener ends up blending the two melodies together, and sometimes they contrast each other and the listener chooses one melody to follow, thus giving the song an ambiguous emotion. or they won't harmonize well and it becomes incredibly dissonant and discordant. it doesn't have that downward-feeling motion you're looking for, but it might be something. maybe you can have the downward refference be in her middle name, like if her name was Polyphony B. (last name already forgot sorry), and the B was for Bass I also don't know anything about Splatoon, i just started watching your videos because I liked Deltarune Yellow.
When you said that orange and blue was the most common color contrast for splatoon fan idols I immediately got nervous because the fan idols i made for my splatoon roguelike spinoff concept where the color palette was indigo/dark blue and Red orange/Scarlet. I thought I was being creative with the orange blue thing.
Honestly, with the sheer amount of fanidols people have made over the years, there isn’t really any color pallete that’s 100% original. It all comes down to the execution, how it fits in with your idols and how it’s presented! Don’t worry too much about how one aspect of your idols may or may not have been done before; as long as the whole looks good, people won’t care about it!
I sent another comment where i mentioned this, but I really (really) like your Deltarune Yellow videos, a lot. In fact, me and my brother were so inspired by those videos that we want to make a Deltarune Yellow webcomic based largely off of your ideas. we were wondering if we could use some of your designs and characters. In particular we like the designs for Clover, Ceroba and Sunny, literally everything about Dalv and Kanako, Martlet, Starlo and Ceroba's backstory
I made those videos specifically to inspire others, so yes! As long as you credit me for concepts and designs I created, you absolutely can make things based on it!
@@cherryistired what if i put your OC you use as an avatar (I don't know their name) into the comic as a monster in Eastville? it would be like a developer insert kinda like Temmie?

I had no idea that was a thing! If you figured out how to squeeze an ocean pun into it, Polyphony could easily have been their band name haha
I absolutely adore Bubble her outfit makes me jealous and I respect the drive
(Also guess they won splatfest go them!)
