Everyone heres talking about stuff like, "Oh its like undertale!" Or "ITS THE JEVIL MUSIC". But can we all just push Toby aside for one moment and appreciate this masterpiece? Its stunning and for it to be in the shadow of Toby really sucks. Like guys, its TEMMIES creation. Toby made the music and maybe helped a little here and there. Temmie truly is amazing at storytelling and creating stuff. Maybe just as good if not maybe better than Toby. Remember that.

The artstyle on this video is super fun. The lack of (or at least minimal use of) outlining makes it look like water color.
when editing if you remove outline layers and shape the edges it will give it this very nice artistic look.

The story is really unique! I love how much was packed into four minutes!
The potion seller wanted to be a hero, but learned that being one doesn't always mean beating the guy bigger than you.
The hoard of people wanting to hunt the dragon showed how people don't look at the details and follow blindly.
And the dragon represented how people negatively stereotype others and act on their assumptions without stopping to look at the person and the reason they do what they do.
Or I may be over-analyzing. But quickly thrown together story or well thought out and planned, it's a really cool story!
Yeah, and sometimes playing a support role can be stronger than an offense role.
Especially when a problem can have a nurturing, rather than punishing, solution.

animators just don't get the attention they deserve , this should have way more views
Well its because of youtube. See the youtube algorithm works in two/three ways
- Length of video
-frequency of upload
-views sorta
The reason this works like this is the longer a youtube video the more money it will make for youtube. Now because animations are so hard to produce (I don't animate) they are often short (an example of this is potion shop), basically the longer a video the more MONEY it makes so the more youtube wants people to see it.
Frequency of upload is what gets these channels views. Because the more you upload the more money there is. Because animations take so long to make again these animations don't get uploaded often.
Views. Very simple the more views something gets the more views it will get. Because of the last two factors animations don't often start out with many views so they don't get a ton more
These reasons are why reaction videos explode and why they are so dangerous to the youtube community. They will always appear higher in search terms than the original high quality video they are reacting to so they are actually stealing views from the original creation. Anyway so ya thats why it does not get more views. Disappointing but true

let's go over some of them just for fun
- TH-cam literally made a system for companies to just setup robots to claim videos
-TH-cam operates on guilty until proven innocent
-TH-cam's copyright system punishes youtubers who do nothing wrong
-TH-cam has a very low chance of punishing reaction videos that actually break their rules
- People like sam pepper existed and actually broke so many of youtube's rules
- TH-cams system now specifically targets criticism
-New guidelines are causing massive crackdowns on channels that are just criticising people
-When google+ was integrated google supposedly promised channels new features to stop bullying in their comment section such
as shadow banning but never followed through
-TH-cam breaks there systems with new updates every week
-Better youtubers that spend more time on their videos are actually punished because of everything i have just said so youtube bassically wants videos to be crap
That's barely touching the surface but that should give you an idea of how crap this is. The worst part about it is that youtube does not even care. They have no reason to care at all because you know what they are uncontested and the twelve year olds that use this site don't care how their favorite youtubers are doing so that we are all stuck in this loop that can only be broken by big youtubers going to other sites, making videos on youtube won't help because youtube knows you won't do shit. No one will so it's pointless to complain

You did the animation, Toby did the music, someone from the Crewniverse did sound effects, and Kirbopher did voice casting.
The only one I didn't hear of before was Hames. It seems everybody I know around the web have become the go-to co-workers for their work nowadays.

Xander Mobus, the announcer for Super Smash Bros. 4 did the voice acting for some of the characters, too.

Wow... Music by Toby Fox, Animation by Temmie Chang, Voice Casting by Chris Niosi!? Jeez, this is practically an all-star production. Undertale was awesome, but I've always loved Kirbopher's work, especially TOME!
It feels like everyone is connected lately in some way. I love that! It's like the biggest titans of these fields really do know each other and are friends.
Oh my god, I remember TOME, that feels like so long ago, and it was so good!
ThatGuyLew I hope more producers like these keep on collaborating and specializing. Chris Niosi is a Voice Actor and Director, Toby Fox is a Brilliant Musician, and Temmie Chang's unique art and animation skills. Everyone has their niche, and I think they accomplish something incredible when they work together.
As much as people liked to complain about 2015 and 2016. That's the period where I also saw many more people working with each other than ever before.
The music reminds me of Jevil's theme and the music that plays on the staircase to Jevil (one part sounds almost exactly like it), which is not surprising because Toby Fox composed the music here. The animation itself was amazing.
3:27 sounds like "the circus", wouldn't be surprised if toby used this as inspiration for "the circus" or vice versa

I watched this when it first came out, and as a dragon lover from a very young age, I obsessed over it! I keep coming back to it periodically and my adoration has never faded.
So you can imagine how my jaw dropped years later when I looked again at the channel name and immediately recognized it as the same artist that did so much work for my favourite game. I had only played Undertale maybe a year after this was uploaded. I couldn't believe it! You just keep showing up in all my favourite things. What a small world! :)

I love how in the beginning the red color of the dragon contrasts the purple/magenta color of the townsfolk. And the plot twist at the end is extremely heart-warming! Good job by all means.

This has been my comfort video for years. I watch it at least 5 times a year whenever I remember it exists. I absolutely love the art style and it's really well animated. In terms of music, I can say with total confidence that this is the best score Toby Fox has ever produced. It is an actual crime it's not on Spotify or TH-cam or anywhere where I can just listen to the music. Good job Tem and good job Toby!!!

You're honestly right as that's what I got for the story too. Being a hero doesn't always mean beating the big bad guy and sometimes, being the hero can cause more harm than good.
All the baby dragon wanted to do was find something to heal its sick/weak mother dragon, but due to dragons being stereotyped as these big dangerous monsters, people always jump to their assumptions that they're there to cause harm.
Never assume too quickly about what someone is doing until you are absolutely certain about what they are doing, for all we know, you could be causing more harm to the world rather than none.
Isn't Temmie Chang the person who helped Toby Fox create monsters for Undertale?

personally i love the sheer joy the potion seller got from that single gold coin. they weren't expecting more as we saw at the beginning the potions weren't selling. so that single coin was a potion sold and used. a shop owners first sale is always special.

I think this is the only time I’ve ever complimented somebody for their hat physics...
A beautiful, well crafted work of art. The story was entertaining, and the style of art was mystical.
The story was just "entertaining" though. It wasn't intriguing. That might be asking too much of a simple 4 minute animation though. I really liked the ending however, and the fact that the villagers were so understanding.
The music was also wonderfully composed. It kind of reminded me of deltarune a bit. Don't know why. Keep working hard! I'd love to see more of your future works.
