More limited shenanigans in lockdown, trying to catch fish, walking around the saltmarsh & checking out an abandoned building in the middle of nowhere.
@@shorefishingessex Haha! Know what ya mean Paul, but I'm high risk of this damn virus and not in the best of health so haven't seen much of it meself in the last 12 months! 😁😁
I love this video, especially love that when you are exploring that cabin/tea room ,I wish a company was there with you, lots of people they can’t stand this huge wind and cold weather outside, you’re trying your best to make this video for everyone and I really appreciate it🌹thank you so much, and the neat and bushy beard is really nice on you as well😄
Great video as usual mate. Lots of variety. I always thought that building was an old boathouse. Think I stumbled across something about it on the web last year. Keep up the good work!
Well done for keeping at it. I understand the cabin was the old bird Observatory. I noticed it had been broken into a month ago. Hope the kids don't burn it....
Not watched the vid yet Paul saw the lockdown beard and had to pause it 😂. In the words of Blackadder, Thats a beard you can lose a badger in. Going to savour watching on the t.v. in about half hour when the Mrs has gone to bed. Love your channel mate 💙💙💙
God loves a trier mate! I will say though that estuary looks promising for the spring, summer and autumn, bass, mullet, flounder, eels and maybe a guilthead bream??? Enjoyed it mate it's not all about catching it's always nice just to get out and see what you can find? 😉🎣👍
Cheers Damo, I reckon the estuary has a lot of potential but it is plagued by millions of shore crabs, even in this cold weather they are stripping the hooks in no time, you really have to work hard to fish more than one rod to keep constantly changing baits, add to that the ferocious tidal pull, it's a bit of a head banger!! Haven't heard of any gilthead bream coming out of there but anything's possible mate.
Was that Doggets at the end there? I'm sure I landed that plastic bag when it only weighed a couple of ounces. Thanks for the upload Paul, every one of your vids is a trip down memory lane 😉
Great video well a Tea Room that would be great in summer !! Was it near paglesham reach off of River Roach ? There is chalet you can see out on marshes from Fambridge marina it warned in the sales brief it has no road access and post comes by boat tide and weather permitting..... great for someone who is fed up getting piles of circulars and cold calls as no electricity or phones
Chris this building is next to Lion Creek just before you get onto Wallasea Island & the chalet you mention in North Fambridge is called Port Moor cottage, seems idyllic to me!!
@@shorefishingessex cheers many years ago I sailed a dinghy into lion creek I think many years ago it was possible to sail back into roach but it was blocked off a long while ago some old sailing books suggest taking lion creek as back door thru roach and to maplins and the Thames
Also that type building on stilts were all along the seafront at saint Osyth on the seaward side of post 53 sea wall right up to where the nudist beach is my parents used to rent a chalet number 1 it had lift up floor to let high tide in and not lift chalet off stilts also chalets and caravans on the top off the shingle bloody marvellous u could nearly crabbfish out the windows some live Majorca ibiza etc but to a fewcweeksvonnthebsunshinencoast in the driest part Britain will do me fine very low rainfall on that edge of Essex probably while I now sail from BRADWELL Marina often rains on the way from South Woodford but when u get there everywhere is dry !!!
John thanks but the end may be nigh for the beard, my wife hates it & I may have a job interview to attend soon, I don't want to turn up like a vagabond!!
BTP thanks! somebody told me that a postcard was pinned to the fence near to the building stating that it was a tea room but I can only take his word for it, looking at other comments on this video, I can see people are writing that it was used for different purposes, we can only speculate but I love the fact that it stands alone in the middle of nowhere, I'm familiar with it on the landscape now!
@@shorefishingessex Yeah definitely a sight that stands out in the area! Maybe it changed uses over the years. Feel like it represents similar buildings which might’ve been out on the marshes years ago
Steve if you are watching it on your phone there should be a link in the top right of the screen around about the time I'm saying that I will try to put it there!! But if you are watching it on TV you can click on the icon on the top left of the screen right at the end of the video, if all else fails then a TH-cam search for 'The Lure Angler-Purely Predator' should get you there, good luck!!
Can you Not ? Get round to Bradwell on sea ?? But we’re struggling to catch there ATM THAT shack is for the Bird watching I think ?? As you come out of Baltic wharf
Mark not really bothered about other areas at the moment mate, knowing my luck I'll get pulled over & fined!! Yes that shack is on the way back from Baltic Wharf.
@@shorefishingessex as far as i know its still boarded up - it was for sale for awhile, around 120k if i remember right worth a look about, got some interesting wood still in water from jettys/old boats
Good to see ya Paul! I like your shenanigans! Makes a change to see some different scenery from down here in the South West! Stay safe & well. 👍👍

It was an old Essex salt house used to store the marsh salt and keeping it dry. i dont know what the newer building is used for now though.
