I had to click the not suitable for kids button to activate comments for this video, I think because I say the word that starts with a C & ends in rap!! I'll have to be more ,careful in future, thanks.
Thanks Paul, for taking the time to explain your absence! Most of us thought the worst so me in particular, am glad you are alive and well. I always find your videos interesting with each one a bit different than the last. Also your comments like wanting a pint makes me laugh and very envious. I look forward to any new videos you create. Thanks very much. Cheers, Colin.
Your videos are loved because you take the time to show people what really matters . We all need to find solace in nature and be rebooted from this crazy world which we are currently in. We all love your videos because they come from your heart 💚 keep doing what you are doing and thank you 🌞
Wowzers! Great video. Lovely to be out on the beach at low tide. My favourite place to be. Great to have you back. Whatever you put up is always interesting and so watchable....... keep em coming. 🐟👍
Great to see you back on the block mate, always an enjoyable watch. It'll be Interesting to see where you take us from here with the videos but whatever you decide I'm sure you'll make it work. I wish you all the best, and look forward to the next notification 👍
Great video awesome channel Had my first little bass of the year from there a few weeks ago on the last cast was a happy lady lol all the best @fishingwithtednfamily
Glad you are back fella, in whatever form or whenever you post vids. Quantity is is not the be all and end all of you tube mate. I enjoy your vids, from the fishing ones, the foraging ones, this type of one or any other that is on the horizon. They all have something to offer and if we get to smile and learn a few things on the way then great. Crack on doing what you have to do in life and if and when you get time to post up something I will be watching it. Stay safe.👍
Just do what makes you happy. Hopefully we will get to see lots more of your videos and I might even bump in to you one day on the Essex coast lol. Take care!!
Great vid mate, really interesting. I'll be looking forward to your next one whatever it may be. Your channel, John Locker's and another one or two have turned me into a proper foraging nut - much to my girlfriend's delight (she's a patient woman) - so obviously I'll be especially keen on anything like that, but like others have said, I'll be watching whatever you make as your vids are always interesting and insightful and you've got a great way of presenting stuff. Thanks a lot for all the work!
Great to see you, Paul, fantastic inspiration. I missed these, but have added the bell notification now so don't miss any. You may think your editing isn't all that good, but it's loads better than my kayak fishing ones.
I've not done the walk to Mulberry, but living in Shoeburyness I regularly walk out from East Beach to the end of the boom at low tide. Like yourself, I've noticed a shed load of cockles. Salted a few holes that look like Razors, but no luck yet! They are somewhat elusive for me so far! Love it though.
Andrew thanks, I've had a couple of razors over at Chalkwell but they're not as prolific or as easy to extract as in the South West, can you actually reach the end of the boom?
@@shorefishingessex thank you! really appreciate your efforts and content. Yes indeed got myself out beyond the boom at low tide, but not ventured much further. Still learning the tides as it stands, so keeping it at small steps at present. Will share some photos at some point!
I’ve seen that when out on the coast round Shoebury way foraging but not taken much notice of it. But will now on the back of that. I’ll wander out there myself on a forage sesh and check it out, especially with is history. Thanks mate another interesting & informative vid 👍
About a month or two back, someone walking far out from Thorpe Bay ended up in quick sand, coastguard was called out, Air Sea Rescue helicopter, fire brigade, you name, they were all out there trying to free someone from the quick sand, so you should always have your whits about you when taking a stroll out there, enjoyed the video 👍
Alf, I suspect whoever that was didn't have a clue, I would take anyone out there without any worry at all, all you have to do is have some kind of savvy, I climbed Pen-Y-Fan in the Brecon Beacons & saw some stupid person attempting the climb in jelly shoes!! Like on the way back from this walk I saw two couples, beer bottles in hand making their way out to the wreck when everyone was making their way back when it was getting dark!! If you don't know how to read a tide table & are even not aware that tides occur at different times every day, you definitely shouldn't be anywhere near the sea, some people are beyond help!!
Mulberry harbour is a floating/sinking temporary harbour to unload ships in shallow water , floated into position then water allowed in to sink / stabilise , then the top of the harbour is used as a road for vehicles to get to shore. Just think of a mini pier that can be moved around. Those two sections known as the mulberry harbour are two sections that on removal, got stuck and after much effort to remove where left where they sat. Not a shipwreck as many people think.
I think most of the way we think and do stuff changed during the lockdown, we compensate to stay sane. Great to see you back and do you ever find any "historical stuff" that get washes out of the Thames?
Fran to tell you the truth I'm not really looking for that kind of stuff but occasionally something catches my eye, I've found knives, bottles & clay pipes in the past though, I try to edit the videos down to as short as possible so some stuff gets left out, if I find anything really interesting, I'll try to feature it, thanks.

Cool bananas, next time take a stick to the mulberry, there must be fish in the deep water surrounding the wreck
