I didn’t make a video for it, but I tried your original tutorial for curtain bangs and I now REFUSE to pay someone to cut my hair because my hair has never looked so good!!!!
One question, does this look ok even unstyled? I don't have a lot of time or equipment to style my hair (i don't have a straightener/curler or hair rollers) but i could really use a slightly more interesting haircut
@@yoghurt_is_a_fruit i think curtain bangs specifically are really low maintenance so yea you don't really need any special equipment per se to make it look good
@Like mate, stop procrastinating i think it might depend on your hair type. If you have wavy hair, you probably won't need to style your hair much. But if you have straight hair, you might not like it because it can look flat without styling
@@yoghurt_is_a_fruit for my curtain bangs, all i do is use a round brush and blow dry them :) super super quick and u can just stick them in a roller and blow dry for a few seconds when they're dry to get a nice effect

For anyone who sucks at following instructions that are not suited for their head.
Use your comb and lay it flat on the head. Where the comb is no longer touching the head is the tip of the triangle section. Then section to your eyebrows edge. That’s going to have your sections for bangs but better suited for your head shape.
This is actually a really good estimate to make it fit your face/head shape ngl😮

The last time I got a tip that good was when somebody realized the only issue I had with reading an analogue clock was deciding what hour it was (depending on how close the shorter pin was to the number lmao)

@@purplechild you take the comb and face the bristles to the side and lay the comb flat down on the top of your head following a center part. You can then see where the comb touches to there it no longer is touching. Where it is no longer touching is where you should start your triangle.

For the face frame, do short fast little squeezes on the scissors. Do not close the scissors entirely. Push the hair into the corner where you’re doing this and SLOWLY glide the hair down as you’re doing the tiny squeezes.

While I'm not going to do it myself, I will show my SIL who normally cuts my hair this video. She went to school for cosmetology, but didn't like it as a career so she's the family hair stylist. The only problem is everyone in our family either has a men's cut or a pixie... I'm the the only one who has layers and shoulder length hair. After a decade, she had no idea how to do curtain bangs and her first attempt at them she over directed to my eyebrow... And yup, still growing those bad boys out lol

THANK YOU for this video!! I got a hair cut about a month ago (my first in 4 years), and I asked the stylist about curtain bangs. And she said that they were difficult to maintain and I wouldn't like it. So I just got a trim (cut off something like 6 inches to even my hair out), but I've been still wanting curtain bangs!!!
They are definitely not difficult to maintain. Because they are longer they grow out super fast if you change your mind. They might be difficult to maintain if you don't get your hair cut for long periods but...here's what she probably doesn't like....most shops cut the bangs for free between cuts.

My whole hairline on my forehead is full of cowlicks/kinky hair mix, so I'm physically unable to have bangs without straightening. It suuucks.
Getting a Brazilian blowout on unmanageable hair really helps!! You can get it in just certain areas or all over your hair depending on how much volume you want all over. I’d suggest getting a professional to do a Brazilian blowout with lots of passes to the hair line in the direction you want it to sit. ❤
Blow dry your hair from side to side only the bangs with a lot of tension cowlick gone poof train your hair or get a keratin treatment just right where the cowlicks are you can buy a keratin treatment online Amazon just do your bangs

I would straighten it with a straightener or a blow dryer and just cut them longer if you wear your hair very curly all the time or I would say cut them curly most definitely but you could dry them or put a flat iron but when you wear your hair curly they will shrink up really really bad so either way you go you could do it longer it would still look good

I did this exact cut from one of your full videos using hair cutting shears and they came out awesome! You get that soft, flipped back look with a quick blow dry and a round brush. On dirty hair days I take one side and a Velcro roller and pin it. I do the same for the opposite side. I roll them back, not under, go to sleep, unroll (not tug it out) and I get a perfect swoop ❤ I need to trim them again but I don’t post videos because I don’t like TH-cam trolls but I could send it to you
