Can you imagine if they had classes for kids in school where they would watch all of these episodes of the Chosen over the school year. It would be an elective and I would bet you that they would love to attend that class

I so love this adaptation of Jesus' life! Cant get enough of it! So natural so raw and so exciting to watch. The art added into the storyline, the artistic yet reasonable backstories while still being faithful to the scriptures and their message ❤ thank you so much for creating this!

Big James?
The other disciple James, son of Alphaeus, was referred to as “James the less” a few times. But the word “less” in Greek likely meant either younger or shorter, so I guess the show chose “Big James” rather than “Short James” as the nicknames. The disciples were likely teenagers , so it makes great sense why they had nicknames and joked with each other.
Did they also put “really handsome” as a requirement when making the casting call for the apostles or

The thing that I love about this show is that unlike 90% of other Biblical dramas, whose scripts consist of some wooden combination of hopelessly childish drivel and verbatim copy-pasting of the Biblical Text into the script, this one is intelligently written. The actors actually speak and interact like real, adult human beings, and have natural-sounding, mature dialgoues, interactions, and mannerisms. All the while remaining Historically accurate and faithful to the Gospel Accounts. 10/10!

@@Gardener7 yeah I picked up on that also, no one can do a true Aussie accent no matter how good an actor they are unless they're an Aussie and I should know i'm an Aussie, I can always spot a fake, they're usually too nasely and sound like a cross between a Kiw accent and a SA accent

I really like Peter and John, the dialogue, chemistry and humor between the two brothers. Mary Magdalene is on point! Jonathan Roumie is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ no words... watching him is a real treat to the eye. His acting, his body language, his gentleness, the humbleness and softness in his voice, he portrays Jesus 100% perfect👌

Passion of the Christ was the best cinematic biblical story told....until this show came along. Everything in it just felt too real, and very accurate!
It was far too hard to watch. I hope this one won’t be as graphic (even though I know in real life it was far worse than anything shown on screen.)
