I wish they add more submissions like they had in ufc 4, the gogoplatas and bulldog chokes it brought diversity to the game and they should keep the sub system but revamp the ground work every is the same

In some of the early UFC rules, if you wore shoes kicking wasn’t allowed. Imagine a savage fighter kicking with their shoes? So they considered them a weapon. 🤷♂️
I know what you mean about the best way to unbalance somebody is being directly underneath them. I don't like being in bottom position, but when I am I prefer to play deep half because it allows me to load somebody's weight all the way up on my body.
i’m almost certain there’s an issue with takedowns that get turned down. seems like they’re just impossible to deny since the patch. i’ve been unable to deny it and my tdd is pretty decent, and i’m seeing content creators get taken down by it unexpectedly too.
they already have, i think either early this year or late last year they added pride nick, shogun, wanderlei, mini reem, and dan henderson (and maybe some others)

@@LovelyHeartDiamond Can’t do something when you’ve never been taught the mechanics of it. Ali had one MMA fight and never checked a single leg kick. From a gameplay perspective, choosing a fighter who can’t check leg kicks is still semi-manageable. Stay in boxing range and punish every leg kick. At the end of the day, boxers transitioning to mma have many challenges. They aren’t accurately displayed in the game.
Martial, you beat Jon Jones based off damage. Your strikes were doing far more damage than Jones player was in round 2. He was frustrating you, but you were still landing the better shots. Really the Jones player just wasn’t active enough, a few more power strikes and he may have won it.
I can’t remember which button it is but when you’re grappling if you use L1 or R1 while trying to transition (LB or RB on Xbox) it speeds up certain transitions at the cost of using more stamina. It makes it easier to escape someone who is really good at holding a position such as side control. If you do it too frequently though you’ll drain your stamina and be left in a really bad spot.

I think they need to change the punches when grappling. It’s so annoying and unrealistic to build GA and there’s no way to counter it so the ground game turns into this patty cake nonsense. If they added a counter or a sub off the repetitive punching, I think the ground game would move better and be more realistic.
I think in the older games there was actually a reaction to where you could time an armbar off of a punch. It gave the person and top position something to think about.

Randleman has standing/clinching/ground knee strikes but that is the closest you will get to a kick with him in game

GA needs to increase for you when the opponent is striking. So that you risk your opponent escaping position if you want to throw a ton of strikes
