Hey Chicagoan here. If anyone visits Chicago and goes to Mr Beef because of The Bear and doesn't like it or it's unexpectedly closed (they have weird hours), check out Luke's Italian Beef a little over a mile south of there at Jackson and Wells. I think they have better Italian Beef sandwiches (and definitely have better Italian and Polish sausages) than Mr Beef and they also have alright thin crust pizza. Or, across the river on Grand Ave, Bari Foods is a little Italian Grocery that has good Italian Beef and great Italian Subs. Just please god don't go to Portillos. And wherever you get beef, order it "dipped" and with hot peppers/giardiniera if you like spicy food or with sweet peppers if you don't. The wetness is vital to the texture and the acid from the peppers is important for the flavor.
If you want to grab a beer near Mr Beef, The Green Door Tavern is right there and claims to be the oldest bar in the city. They have a reasonable draft list. There's a fun pretend speakeasy in the basement called The Drifter if you're into that sort of thing. They have very good cocktails and talented performers.
I'm glad Mr Beef is getting some new attention and (hopefully) longevity. Their reputation was waning before the pandemic.
I have been saying for years now that Jeremy is the middle Pokémon in an evolution chain from Timothee Chalamet to Gene Wilder.
yeah if timmy evolved at level 4, and then again at level 62 that makes sense
Underrated comment
I'm going to use this analogy from now on instead of the love child analogy lol
OMG 😅
You didn’t say this. A meme years ago said this…
The Forks episode stood out for me as well.
Best episode of tv I watched this year
"Just so we know we're not that bad" lmao 😂
We love Jeremy Allen white and seth meyers
We? Are you a person?
Fork was one of the greatest TV episodes of all time.
Forks and fishes were STELLAR
Timothee Wilder really does look like both his dads.
Didn’t mention awesome Shameless Jeremy was on, loved that series.
In the first clip yes but the show has ended
@@DBGreatness I missed that, but it’s still on Netflix, I binged it over the summer.
Ebon deserves an Emmy for forks
That was a public service. You are a good man. You saved me from 15 minutes in the click bait black hole. 👏👏👏
can't wait for season 3
Jeremy Allen White, amazing talent and truly nice guy. Chooses interesting roles and makes them even better.
As for physical appearance, If they ever do a bio-pic of the legendary actor Robert Mitchum, he'd not only be physically convincing, but has the acting chops to convincingly play the often intense personal details of the classic actor's life,
YESSSSS omg i Can totally see him re-doing Night of the Hunter 🤩 I both hate and love that movie
Should have been Wonka
Forks is the best episode.
I love the bear, my mom would always refer to Gene on Shameless. His acting has grown so much since Shameless of course but he's guna go a long way in acting. Short king.
Awww Seth… my family decided to make ‘Fishes’ a Christmas tradition to remind us that it’s not ‘just us’… my mother’s crazy > Donna Berzatto…
No way... he looks way more like a young Robert Mitchum. A remake of "Night of the Hunter" with Jeremy would be killer!
YESSSSS 😍😍😍😍 i need that remake
I think he looks more like a young Barry Manilow, myself.
Thank you.
Yes, when they do a Barry Manilow biopic, He should be cast.
He's a lot handsomer than Manilow
good job with the accent seth!
Wait there's a second season already? I haven't even seen the first season yet because I just saw commercials for it recently.. didn't even know the first season was out yet
@@aquilathegreat95 No they didn't.
@@aquilathegreat95 season 1 + 2 were released a year apart.
Get in it. The 2nd season is even better!
He could play Gene Wilder in a biographical.
Totally.
Do you KNOW that he's not your Grandfather? Like.. KNOW?
* sly side eye *
"And you guys, that's Jeremy Iron White..."
Young Frankenstein👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
lol I got fooled by the click bait and had the same thoughts
4:18
Gene. Wilder 😊
I KEPT SAYING THIS WHEN THEY CAST WILLY WONKA
Forks>>>>Fishes
Jeremy might favor Gene Wilder, but I really want him and Bill Fichtner cast as father and son! Let's do it, Hollywood!
God interview Seth
The Italian Beef is my favorite sandwich in the world. They're nice guys at the shop, but Mr. Beef isn't that good tbh and they didn't even really dip my sandwich last time like I asked. I'd recommend Jay's Beef in Harwood Heights or Johnnie's over it.
The problem with click bait, is exactly the public service Seth just gave...I've got zero interest to click through it, but I assumed the main and first picture, was at least TRUE!
sorry, Seth, that's not a Chicago accent...didn't you go to Northwestern?
It's kind of an exaggerated Chicagoan accent. Like from the cops in the Fugitive, or "da Bears" that Seth uses on Mike Lindell following Mike Ditka's impersonation by Norm Wendt.
But he also looks A LOT like Robert Mitchum
Robert Mitchum was over 6 feet tall and Jeremy is only 5' 7", plus they have totally different coloring.
@@MothGirl007 sweetie, bright doesn’t make people look alike 🤣 bless your heart
Vienna beef
Jeremy Allen White did not reveal the Chicago restaurant ... Seth does, and he mocks click bait later on in the interview. LOL?
Wonka reboot?
Forks was definitely great but there's no beating Fish (ie. the Christmas episode).
Edit: Pretty sure you mean Young Fronkensteen!
Sedagive?!
Deep pull reference! I actually LoL’d!
If I was in my 20s, I'd find him attractive. Don't like that his ex-wife is left raising the kids while he goes off on a career jolly.
Is he Gene Wilders son????
no he is not
Well if there is a Wonka 2 He can take over Timothy 😁
But at least people realize now it’s not just a religion.
You think you get that camel face by just attending a synagogue? 😂
JAW would be so good as Willy Wonka
100 per cent.
so true but I didn't mind timothee as willy wonka
Lol
he looks like gene wilder
