      To think there was DEBATE? Grisham or Sugar Azocar in CF was a legitimate question heading into the playoffs! Trent Grisham was 2-for-2 with a walk and was hit by a pitch in his four trips to the plate last night in the pivotal WC Game 3. In the series, Grisham reached base eight times in 12 plate appearances, including HR's in Game 1 and Game 2. Bo Mel made the right call!

    That 7-8-9 line up was firing up. Kim-Grisham-Nola! On-base 9 times in total out of 12 at-bats! Kim with 3BBs and 3Rs, Grisham just crazy mode, and Nola with an important hit to start the game.

      You might enjoy this story. The 699 ball literally landed one row above me in left field in that walking area. I met the guy who caught 699. He came back to his seats in the 7th inning and I talked to him. He said the AP interviewed him and a dodgers representative talked about a meet and greet with Pujols. He said when he meets Pujols, that he was going to talk to him in Spanish. I even took a picture with him. Lol crazy experience.

    CF Trent Grisham entered the playoffs ICE cold at the plate but may have been the Padres WC Series MVP. Two HR's off Scherzer and DeGrom along with Steller defense.

Padres fans were debating if Bo Mel should start Azocar over Grisham his BA was so LOW....yet Trent Grisham was 2-for-2 with a walk and was hit by a pitch in his four trips to the plate in the pivotal Game 3 last night. During the 3-game WC Series, Trent Grisham reached base eight times in 12 plate appearances, including the home run he hit in Game 1 and the homer he hit in Game 2. Safe to say, Trent picked a great time to BUST out and Bo Mel is a smart man!

    Big discussion on the NY area sports talk was should Showalter pitch DeGrom in game 2 of the wild card or wait until game 3 so if they swept the Padres DeGrom can start against the Dodgers. The team thought 101 wins was going to intimidate Manny Machado, Juan Soto, Josh Bell and Yu Darvish.

      Also the pirates..both teams are mlb's farm teams. They have exceptional talent development as well as scouting, a must for small markets. They cant resign anyone so they trade for more shots at prospects

    Swinging early in the 1st against Bassit seemed to give him false confidence. Knocked them down in seven pitches I think. Then in the 2nd the Padres showed a lot more patience which made Bassit unexpectedly work hard. Think he thought he was gonna breeze through to a quick victory.
    Then that move getting the officials to feel Musgroves ears only served to fire him & the Padres up. Totally backfired on the Mets. Machado was totally loving it!

    Mets been leading their division all season but the last month they've been chased down by the Braves and now is out of the Playoffs. What a meltdown. Let's Go Yankees hopefully they don't suffer the same fate after their great start and starting losing games and couldn't make it to 100.       How? The mets scored 1 run in that first game, max would have had to have been perfect, and pitched better than degrom in game 2. Degrom gave up 2 but the bats bailed him out. It has nothing to do with max. The mets offense was inconsistent

    Was watching this game and the commentator acted like this was Joe Musgrove's biggest postseason pitching performance, as if he didn't pitch in two contentious World Series games in 2017, winning Game 5 😂

      He pitched in a World Series match-up that was tied at 2 games each, with each team having 12 runs on the board going into the 10th inning, where he didn't give up any runs and allowed his team to win in the bottom of the 10th. That's a high-pressure situation, during a highly-watched national network game, the pinnacle of the sport. Commentator was acting like he'd never pitched in a post-season game before in a high-pressure situation 😂
