Love the banter of these two, but the fact that they knew the great wolf said reveal crucifix or “something”, and turn after turn didn’t question why it kept prompting Johnny to reveal the Host, and didn’t question (or notice) Mina wasn’t being hurt by the wolf... In the Among Us games with OX, etc, they were much more on the ball about being observant.
The game actually takes place post novel on the assumption that Dracula actually survived. Johnathon is staying with his and Mina's child while she does the adventurer thing.
@@charliek5964 Yeah I got that impression. Johnny's turn was much longer than Wheels. It sort of reminds me of some of the haunts in Betrayel at House on the Hill.
@@laurab6146 having played both I would say Dracula is a more consistent game than betrayal. Some haunts are a lot of fun but they can also be duds. Another issue with this virtual game is there ware no reminders for Johnny's for what his character's special powers were. This really hamstrung him versus Dracula.
Don’t feel bad about the poor hunter play (I’ve seen worse) and hunters have the steepest learning curve. One of the steepest in board games. My advice is supply early. You want every hunter with at least 2 good combat cards (not guns generally) but overall decent for noob hunters.
I've listened to the Dracula audiobook so many times (highly recommend, the cast is amazing) that you guys pronouncing it "G'DAHL-ming" is odd. In my head it's firmly "GOD'l-ming". Looks like a great game!
@@laser8389 I loved the voice actress for Mina. The way she did voices for all the different characters gave a sense of humour to her character that the prose didn't have.
@@MrBlooDeck Exactly! Obviously Tim Curry is tops, but the whole rest of the cast* definitely kept up. *Not a huge fan of breathless Lucy, but it does kind of fit the character.

Why can't i click the hunter and see the hand! 2)I had an event to place on any city an encounter where 4 damage for hunter would occur. Once i placed there was no indication of what or where i placed it!! do people keep track using pad and paper 3) GAME CRASHED when hunter encountered vampire in hideout....played 5 cards and the game would no longer advanced....I had to hard quit the game.
Great to see a digital version of an excellent board-game, but I have to say the interface seems super clunky, and while the animated characters are nice the board itself is very basic looking. Great to see it being demonstrated though, and I love the game enough I might pick it up anyway given the current… difficulties in playing in person.

The game really excells with more hunters because they can talk (though, then they don't know what they hold, so harder for hunters)...but it takes much longer to play with all the bickering. Some better knowledge of the game would have made for some more interesting plays (i.e. getting away from Dracula, instead of hanging out in the same city to die), but a good showing off of the game none the less. Soundtrack- great. Graphic animation: cool Map : Looks like crap. UI: Mostly terrible. At least from our standpoint, we couldn't see what the cards could do, nor were they narrorated to us. Sounds: Which there were some sounds on click or sound effects. Like the pistol animation was very cool, but no gunshot? No bite sound effect? C'mon Nomad Games. It's 1v1 right now, so you can't do more that that online. Price: Prohibitive. Sorry. Not paying $20 ($18 right now) for one copy and tell my 4 other friends to pony up. ~$100 for the 5 of us (if it ever supports that) when I have the copy on my shelf. I'd expect this to be early access and it is not. It's probably priced double for what it should be. Unfortunately, hard pass - but i did enjoy the vid!

That's how I recall it. It's referenced in Jonathan Harker's cameo appearance (he's one of the event cards) to help defeat Dracula.
