  • Hi everybody,
    here you can see a combination of a complete procedural planet and giant photoscans. It took me over 200 hours to render this out and it needed a lot of optimization till i didn´t got a RAM error because i had to deal with over 200 million polligons. 😅

    That ‘entering the Earth’s atmosphere’ sequence was done so brilliantly. 😍
    Keep making these 👍🏻

      Thanks! I hope that the render time for such sequences will get better in the future so that i don´t have to wait weeks for rendering it out. 😅

      Thank you Dennis! ❤️ Yeah i was wondering if i can mix it with my photoscanned parts and it was working not so bad. 😊

      Thanks ❤️ The planet was an older approach with shader nodes and i was mostly responsible here for finetuning and the city for a little movie. The tutorial series is based on Geometry Nodes that are bringing many advantages :)

    Looks phenomenal!!! Would you recommend Cycles X over base Cycles? Brilliant music choice as well! Would love to see you make a tutorial on this, and upload a playlist of music like this!

    • @vicubeanimation
      @vicubeanimation  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you! ❤ Cycles X is Cycles. It is the advanced version of Cycles and has replaced it with Blender 3.0 and is much faster :) I´m currently making a step by step tutorial for procedural environment creation which may interest you. Making a playlist of music is a nice idea, i can think of it 🤔

      @vicubeanimation  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In this case that would be just a sphere in the viewport haha All the geometry is coming with Adaptive Subdivisions in combination with a lot of shader nodes that will only be visible in the final render or render preview depending on the position of the camera etc. and is dynamically generated (except the city). @@sahdsalmi3935

    • @vicubeanimation
      @vicubeanimation  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh that would be many many nodes xd But i was mostly responsible here for finetuning and the city so if you want to make such an animation yourself you can go for the SHC Procedural Planet. It is an shader based approach and not done with geometry nodes so you only can see the result in cycles and it´s quite slow with the atmosphere but if your hardware is not too bad you can try it out!

      The craziest thing to me is you've done this yourself. With a few changes, it would literally be screen worthy. It's absolutely fantastic.
