Spencer Lee ran through this entire division hes gonna smoke everyone in 2020
I hope to god the injuries haven’t robbed this guy and us of seeing what he could do in freestyle.
The stands are empty for the finals of the US senior Nationals. Ridiculous.
Any location that is rewarded a major tournament like this should have had to previously prove itself a big supporter of wrestling. There are at least a dozen locations throughout the Country that could have filled the stands with 15,000+ for this event. Instead, it's held in Ft. Worth TX, in front of a few hundred yahoos in cowboy hats, who probably showed up expecting calf rasslin.
Our best wrestlers deserve better.
USA wrestling needs to hire a promoter our I'm sure someone with a wrestling background would volunteer. I seen Chael speaking about this subject years ago think he even offered his promotion expertise.

It's awesome to see the quality of wrestling and the where the level of the sport is at in the US. Next step is to get some butts in the seats at these senior level tournaments.

Spencer Lee is the best at this weight class, he get the take downs no matter who the other guy is.
This takes you back to the natty finals with this pr. Huge bux football/wrestling fan I could have made the team easily back in the day. $$$$$$$ no rides. But I felt Nato ceded the coronation in that match of course not knowing that Lee was another Taylor. Or is prior to his world career.

Nato is a great wrestler, but he is the hands-to-the-face King and one of the main reasons that the dumb rule got started................great job Spencer in this whole tourney

NATO just lacks size and strength. Especially against the Pa. wrestlers. Lee just overpowered NATO.
Jonathan Bachman lol!!! Spencer is my guy and very strong,but NATO is probably stronger than anyone up through 141. Ever seen his workouts? cbrend22 I’m positive NATO can put up better powerlifting numbers than Spencer Lee, but that’s not translating on the mat.

That wasn't all strength. NATO is a brick wall. Lee has excellent technique and timing. If he has a strength advantage anywhere, its in the hands.
NATO had none of the functional strength needed bc spends too much time working on stilted positional strength (aka lifts)
And it shows. NATO and many others go to gym to make up for lack of dynamic strength that’s generally natural and can’t be cultivated through Olympic lifts

Blake Barber he did not go up in weight. He wrestled 60KG Greco at Senior Nationals because he is already qualified in FS for OTT. He will be top 6. Did you see all the people he beat last year to qualify? Including Colon... I’m willing to put money on it. Are you?

Lee is older and has won everything he has ever entered in freestyle thus far including a Junior Worlds. Plus 2 NCAA championships. Underestimate Lee at your own peril.
