- Path of destruction - A series of indistinguishable destroyed Russian armour and civilian cars are seen on Kyiv-Zhytomyr Highway just outside of Kiev, Ukraine. A grim vehicle graveyard of sorts.
This area was the scene of repeated and failed Russian attacks that ultimately resulted in a Russian defeat in the Battle of Kiev.

Throughout their history Russians have always been ruled by brutal dictators, they never get to enjoy freedom of chosing their own leader. One their pathology is this grotesque disregard for human lives , and lying about about everything , maybe it has to do with their past experience with communism.
I rode on this Highway several times on my way from Kiyv Boryspol to Khmelnitskiy and back. It is extremely hard for me to assimilate what I'm seeing. Every day I wake up I always think that this war was a bad dream and is just too horrible to be true. As if this wasn't bad enough, my Stepson is in the Ukrainian Army fighting as I write.

I think the bulk of the damage comes from the munitions inside the vehicle exploding once the ATW penetrates the armor.

A well led army would use tanks, aerial reconnaissance and infantry in close coordination for mutual protection so the enemy anti-tank gunner gets less opportunities to land a hit.

That’s why NATO has been moving away from tanks for years, the Abrams would have been scrapped twenty years ago if not for 9/11. Speed and ability to carry infantry is far more important today since a single missile can pop a tank from half a mile away.

Thats a silly statement. You are basing your claim on inferior/obsolete Russian tank models, as well as poorly trained Russian tankers and an army that is using inferior tactics/strategy. It would be a different story if some one was to go up against a well trained western army that knows how to properly employ combined arms. They would make sure to have their tanks well protected from these kinds of infantry assaults. You would be hard pressed to see the same king of success against the Abrams, Leopard, and Merkava.

It feels weird watching ordinary modern cars driving around battlefield debris. Somehow I feel like the debris should all be cleaned up before ordinary cars can use the road again. I know that it's just not feasible to clean it up that quickly, and there's generally some urgent tasks that can't wait till the mess is cleaned up, but it still feels wierd.

These were (past tense) the best trained and best equipped Russian armor and paratroopers that were the "tip of the spear". I think some of the murders in Bucha were retaliation. This was the decisive battle for Kyiv.

They were ambushed and sniped at constantly. The civilians even gave them lethal gifts of food... Not saying anything judgemental on either side, but this conflict is now totally volatile. No men signing papers at a table will correct the future. The hatred is unstoppable.

There was no battle for Kiev. Russia just locked a significant portion of Ukraines army in place so they couldnt move East to relieve the bulk of Ukraine's army. The Russians did not do anything in Bucha. They left 4 days before anyone started talking about a massacre. There is footage online of a massive Ukrainian artillery attack on Bucha while the Russians were there. The Ukrainians killed alot of their own people then Azov killed the rest because they were 'collaborators' and took supplies from the Russians. Even some of the bodies did not show 4 days worth of decomposition - im a former forensic investigator and forensics do not lie

Seeing destroyed and shelled tanks is painful, because I know soldiers died in them. Seeing shelled and gunned down civilian cars is unbearable. More than likely, innocent fleeing civilians or volunteers were intentionally murdered and died a terrifying, brutal death.
