(This is some fan made lore meant to expand on some of what was already touched on by CIG. There’s a lot said/implied about Hurston and we wanted to expand on what the situation might look like.)

An Imperial Sentient Rights Watch report released today slamming Hurston Dynamics for blatant worker abuses.

The company’s notorious work-life contract has long been criticized as contractual slavery, and numbers from the recent ISRW report confirm this.

In 2951, 86% of work-life contract signees reported that they were forced to re-sign under threat of lawsuit due to “contract violations”.

The ISRW report also went to detail Sentient Rights abuses at the hands of Husrton Security:
-9 out of 10 of Stanton 1 inhabitants have witnessed or experienced acts of "unwarranted escalation" from HD Security personnel.
-1 out of 3 of all reported incidents with Hurston Security end with a violent confrontation.
-Only 8% of incidents reported initially involved a violent suspect.

Many cite the growing tensions on the Vanduul border as well as the lack of imperial protection in the outer colonies for reasons why they moved to Hurston.
