Not even close. He's not a pimple on the backside of MJ (culturally, aesthetically, impact on the sport), he can't compare to the legend that Babe Ruth became, or even Jackie Robinson. Then you can look internationally, there are a bunch of guys in soccer that are much bigger international names (eg Pele, Ronaldo, Messi, Maradona). You live in a bubble of recency bias, reinforced by ESPN. LeBron just isn't as big as people think. I can guarantee Sachin Tendulkar is far more revered by 1 billion Indians than the highest high LeBron has had, and no US person has heard of him.
