MEGASTAR: An empirical stellar library at R=20,000 based on MEGARA observations @ GTC
Abstract: In this talk I will provide a summary of the status of MEGASTAR, an empirical library of stellar spectra based on observations taken with the MEGARA instrument at a resolution of R=20,000 in the spectral ranges around Halpha (MEGARA HR-R setup) and the Calcium Triplet (in HR-I). The observations have been taken throughout a total of seven GTC semesters in which we have already acquired spectra for over 900 stars. The initial results of the library are presented in García Vargas et al. (2020), Carrasco et al. (2021) and Mollá et al. (2022, submitted). I will describe the observation, reduction and analysis procedures employed to build this library, including the determination of the stellar parameters: effective temperature, surface gravity and metallicity.
