Honestly, it can't be so good, when so many Japanese tourists prefer Thailand over the local services. Sorry for this "honne" moment, screw tatemae (I'm a gaijin anyways *lol). 😂
Been to both but Japan does GFE better; Thailand used to have the price advantage but with the current weak yen they're converging. Thailand is very accessible but Japan has far more options (assuming you can filter the non-foreigner friendly ones).
