    KD came to the Warriors when they were already on top. He ran as soon as the team struggled. Everyone cheers for KD. Steph came to the Warriors when the team was somewhere near the bottom, he brought it up to greatness. When it fell apart, he continued to carry the team. Once again, like the phoenix in the old legend, the Golden State Warriors rises again from the ashes.

    Don’t forget the fact Durant was on the Thunder team that had a 3-1 lead on those same Warriors the season before he joined them. That’s what makes it by far the weakest move ever. Imagine Jordan joining the Pistons the year after he took them to 7 games with the Bulls. Magic joining the Celtics the year after losing to them in 7 games in the Finals. Durant is just weak. Plain and simple.

    If Durant wants to prove himself, he needs to join a team that did not reach the playoff this year. Period. He said he prefers to go to sun and heat, it’s like a shortcuts to the championship in my eyes.

    • @tominator028
      @tominator028 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Difference is suns nor this heat team have won a championship. I think especially with the suns who I think he could take over the hump wouldn’t look as bad. If he won a ring with Phoenix it would be different than winning those 2 rings with a 73 win golden state team that had just won in 2015 and had a 3-1 lead in the finals.

    • @sethrockwood
      @sethrockwood ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Durant will never win another championship ,and I’m not saying this to hate on him. The problem is the nets have fallen apart, so they no longer have a championship contending team, but Durant is a top 5 player in the league, to any team that trades for him is going to have to give away a large portion of their team to get him. It’s not like free agency where you can go add to a good team. All he can do now is replace a top player on another team, and the nets don’t have to rush….he’s under contract for 4 more years….Durant, and any team trading for him, however, do have to rush, because he’s 34…so he has, 3 to 4 years at best, that he can still play at this level. Meaning, no time to build around him…wherever he goes, he’s only going to have whatever is left after the trade. His best shot is the warriors (only team with enough pieces, and picks, to still have a contender after the trade, and neither he, nor the warriors, seem interested in that) so I don’t see him winning another chip in the next 4 years. I think, at best, he could potentially sign with a contender in 4 years, but at that point, he will be 38. So does a chip at 38, while on a vet minimum, playing as a roll player, mean anything? Sadly, I think it’s a wrap for the rest of his prime.

    100% that KD would not have a ring if he didn't play with warriors, I hope this could proof that all those MVP that they gave KD was a gift who really earn it is Curry since 2015, every championship that GS had won is because of Curry, and people who really knows basketball knows that I'm right

      After he left, he was injured for a season, 2nd season he basically played by himself and horn couldn't hit anything, 3rd season the lineup never stayed together long enough like Golden State.
      Now if they didnt need him then the should not have ran to him. If anything the warriors felt embarrassed for winning 70 plus games and then losing while up 3-1 in the finals. Interesting logic used to keep dumping on KD. He bought his rings. So did Lebron. Every ring he got was with a super team. The two in Miami were cheap. The one in the bubble was also cheap as the whole nba was not ready and most teams had guys playing halfhearted. The 2016 ring was aided by the NBA with some nice key ref calls and some injuries but that is the only ring with a little value from Lebron.
    Funny how the same energy isn’t given to Lebrons bought rings. Lebron is the greatest of this generation but them rings are weak too. Boggles my mind why he gets a pass and KD doesn’t. .

      Might want to reconsider those facts and amend your assessment above my dude. Lebron is the most stat dominant player in this era, but he has not built a team from the ground up for success has he? Which player has he mentored to be great? Which franchise has he built from the ground up to be a dynasty! We all know the answer to those questions. Lebron is great but he sacrificed team success for his personal stat success. Sure, but the thing with Lebron is that he's won a championship with EVERY team he's been on. Whether you subscribe to the ring chasing narrative or not, thats an undisputed fact. Lebron has been on 3 different teams, and he's helped get each one a ring.
      KD (while amazing) cannot say the same. He's a great player, but he's not a franchise leader like Lebron. When he couldn't get it done in OKC he went to Golden State (which was already a top team) and got rings there. When he was told that he couldn't get it done without Steph, he tried to prove them wrong by going to Brooklyn, and that didn't pan out.

      I respect your opinion. You also need to understand why LeBron did what he did when leaving for Miami. The big 3 Celtics were too dominant in the East after adding Hall of Famers Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen, who respectively, were both 1st options and superstars on their prior teams (Wolves and Sonics). The Cavs upper management failed to create a championship contending team surrounding LeBron to even make it past the Celtics. Overall, the LeBron decision gave freedom to all NBA superstars today. Maybe a little too much freedom. But to say he ruined the NBA is an overstatement. The league has been evolving and anyone can pretty much come up with a scenario from past eras that ruined the NBA. As for the KD situation, it just truly sucks knowing the fact that KD and OKC threw a 3-1 lead to the 73-9 Warriors; then in the next season, KD decides to sign with the same GSW core. At this time, KD was considered as arguably the 2nd best player. One may say that this move definitely ruined the league for the next few seasons.

He demeans Kenny Smiths 2 Championships by claiming he did nothing but ride the coattails of Hakeem Olajuwon. And he even demeans Shaqs 4 Championships by also claiming he road the coattails of both Kobe and D-Wade. All this coming from a man who has 0 Championships to his name.
    First people talked shit about Curry by saying the Warriors dynasty was over because KD was the best player on the team. But now all of a sudden they're talking shit about KD by saying Curry was the better player on the team. People just want to run their mouths as if they know what they're talking about.

Green calls him out and he wants out of Golden State. Now if that ain't a crybaby then I don't know what is! If it wasn't for Curry, Green, and Thompson he wouldn't have those two rings. And during the years Charles Barkley was playing, when they really played hard, Chuck would’ve never pushed to have the player who was giving him a hard time on the floor to make it easier for him to win, that’s was Lebron did with Draymond Green, and a “scholar of the game” that Barkley is knows that.
