Benny Parsons showing us bits and pieces of Winston Cup history is priceless. Mostly things I've seen or haven't seen. And he sure brought us knowledge from a driver's perspective and he sure brought a lighter side of racing to the viewers on TV. Bob Jenkins, Ned Jarrett, and Benny Parsons were a great combination.

I miss these fellas too, I really miss my Daddy. I remember my Daddy talking about Tim Flock and the Monkey. Daddy was at the race in Raleigh when he had to come in and pit cos of the little Monkey getting hit with the pebble, he must have thought the world of that little Monkey because he didn't think twice about hitting the pits to make sure that little fella would be ok.
Daddy started taking me to Orange County when I was 5 and then when we moved close to Kenly NC we started going to Southern National Speedway when they first opened. My Daddy might not be around anymore and i sure miss him, I am trying to do the same as my Dad did with me but its my Daughter and me going to Drag Races, Tractor Pulls and Mud Drags, I hope that she will always remember these times like I remembered my Dad taking me.
