The lady knitting at the beginning of the sketch and the woman tearing up the photos is Carol Cleveland, not actually a Python member, but often appeared in sketches when a woman was needed.
You may remember her as Zoot or her identical twin sister, Dingo from the castle Anthrax.

These appearances of the Spanish Inquisition happen in the course of a 30-minute episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus. The video you watched is missing the buildup to their final entry. There's an entire courtroom sketch that ends with the defendant being sentenced to be burned at the stake, prompting him to say "I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition". Everyone looks expectantly at the door, but we cut to the Spanish Inquisition getting on a bus and hurrying madly to get to the courthouse while the end credits roll. Just as they enter, as seen here, we come to "The End".

"Aria The Glitter Reindeer" My new favorite holiday song. Michael Palin has always been my favorite too. The others are great too but Palin just seems friendlier and more relatable somehow. Nice review. I was a little dense the first time I saw one of the Spanish Inquisition sketches (years ago) but once Palin began the "wrong count" bit I just fell in line with the silliness of it all. They are taking a complaint about excessive questioning and making it a reality by having actual enforcers of the inquisition show up.

I was in my teens when I first saw the original Monty Python episodes on TV and have been a huge fan ever since. I've seen these skits many times but the way you laugh at all their silliness has made me truly laugh out loud all over again. I enoy all your reactions but your comedy reactions are my favourites. I have a suggestion for a reaction, it is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. The original Japanese program was called Takeshi's Castle but the show was remade as Most Extreme Elimination Challenge, "MXC" for short. The original Japanese audio was replaced with English voice overs to give all new dialogue, names and plots for laughs. There are some "best of" compilations on TH-cam which are hilarious but to appreciate the genius of the show I would suggest watching a full episode. The original episode is a good place to start. lol The commentary of the shows host's and the contestants is as funny or funnier than the challenges and I had to rewind them many times because I was laughing so hard at the challenge that I would miss the commentary. Anyway, I hope you can find a copy to watch and that you like it near as much as I did. Otherwise, keep up the good work. :)

They cut out a huge chunk. After those animations end (at 10:17), they switch to a courtroom scene, which proceeds to get silly (as they tend to do). I don't remember what the courthroom scene was about; that's not relevant, I don't believe. Anyway, eventually, someone says the magic words, "I wasn't expecting the Spanish Inquisition!", and across town, the three cardinals burst out of whatever house they were in _AS THE CREDITS START TO ROLL!_ They run across the street and catch a cross-town bus, credits still rolling, running up the steps of the bailey and burst into the courtroom and start to say their catchphrase just as the credits end and "THE END" appears on the screen.

Even Spain today is the most racist country because I have seen how they treat Brazilians badly, for example Vinicius junior, people from other countries, In 2018 I visited Spain and in the hotel some people insulted me with messages of xenophobia and racism, It's sad 😞

@ariachanson01 I suffered a lot at that time. Since that year I have not returned to Spain and when I see the current situation in the country, the country is in a very bad state. There are even classic Spanish films that are currently sensitive topics because there are topics such as the invasion of America where they did terrible things, topics of racism and xenophobia that are still terrible.

Python episodes were poorly organized collections of unrelated skits, with absurd transitions.
These separate Spanish Inquisition skits were embedded in a larger episode with skits unrelated to the Spanish Inquisition in between.

    Hello Aria 🙋🏻‍♂️👋🏻
There are classic movies that today can be uncomfortable and terrible because of the stories of the past. We do not forget that what Spain did by invading America is Terrible because it did bad things for example in Chile, Peru, the United States, Mexico and more. Today, Latin America and Spain are still divided by this 😢
