You know impmon had a point there all he was really trying to say stop being a door mat which was rika and renemons relationship before this ep so if anything he helped her
The Japanese voice of Impmon is Hiroki Takahashi. He's best known for Playing the voice of Katsuya Jounouchi (Joey Wheeler) in Yugioh, Parco Forgore in Zatch Bell, Kenji Harima in School Rumble, and the voice of Ryu in the Street Fighter franchise.
I just listened to the sub version and impmon is so much worse, I'm sorry. A bit part of impmon's character is that he presents himself with such an ego to overcompensate for his lack of actual strength and is so in denial over the lack of strength he has, especially in scenes like the one in ~ep19 I think where he tries to fight one of the devas by himself and is CONVINCED he doesn't need help, or at least is trying to convince himself. The dub does a great job of giving him this personality of 'I'm the coolest guy around and I'm not gonna shut up until everyone knows it', always wise crackin and talking people's ear off, when really he also is just talking cause he craves attention and doesn't want to be alone. in the sub he just feels like he's saying he's the coolest, but isn't really playing it up all that much, and honestly comes across as a bit of a loser. I mean to an extent yeah he is, but I like the idea that he plays up a personality so much to try to hide his insecurities and shortcomings, and the sub feels so much more played straight and subdued and it just kinda loses what makes him special to me.
Part of it is just cultural context. Japanese society is comparatively quiet and subdued next to much of American society, so taken in the original context, Impmon really is acting almost exactly as he does in the dub. He's also far more vulgar in the original Japanese, and much more directly rude as well. I do very much love his English dub counterpart though. I think it's a perfect adaptation.
Wow, both of Renamon's voice actresses have beautiful voices!
Impmon sounds like Joe Pesci 😂
It's a little over the top, I think. A biiiit too much. But in a way so is the Japanese.. so..
"Wow, Impmon, that's very funny of you."
"Funny how?"
@@Silver77cyn "Funny like a clown? Do I amuse you?"
the actor Derek Prince intended to be like Joe Pesci

Impmon and Mewtwo would get along
@@tierefuerimmer9635 yeah they had similar character development too impmon and a amazing redemption arc too loved tamers
I miss when this show was on Netflix
I wish Beelzemon in Digimon Fusion had the same voice actor. Love the Jersey accent.
The English dub made it sound like he's hitting on her.
i think it's good, he has somekind of personality even if he sounds like danny devito, in japanese sounds like random pleb digimon.
@@MeelisMattSounds more like Joe Pesci to me.
hah, i think i mixed the names. i probably meant Pesci too. For some reason i said Devito instead.@@danielinthemaiden9039

His voice in Japanese is good tf is that argument you have 😂
because he is
The English dub feels like a Joe Pesci skit and the Japanese version feels like Sonic the hedgehog but if he had Kazuma's personality in konosuba.
he sounds like a disney villiain his voice and this music in the us dub
Why does Impmon sound like Joe Pesci?
You hear it too huh?
He's also short like the actor too lol.
So cute, I really love both ~ that imp… controlling… my life…
Say what you want about the dub but ain't no way you didn't find Impmon's Joe Pesci Impression hilarious.
While the original made me laugh more, the dub is impressive and feels more fun.
Impmon rap.
What he sounds like Joe pesci no way dude 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 that is so hilarious man 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Funny how Renamon has a more male voice in german xP
English dub: calls her a “Digi-babe”, “honey” and “good looking”.
Japanese dub: does none of that.
Guess we all know how the ship started.
Forget the Japanese. I much prefer Impmon as a Joe Pesci wannabe 😂
Japanese impmon is also Japanese Joey (Jonouchi) in Yugioh
Both are great voices for Impmon, both are their own regional equivalent of your cliche delinquent voices, wouldn't have it any other way!
A lot of people say the English voice of Impmon sounds like Joe Pesci, but to me it sounds more like Dan Castellaneta.
I am the only one that impmon is a demon himself.
NEE HEE HEE.
kokichi
Why does bro sound like meowth from pokemon lol
Is it weird that I ship Impmon and Renamon?
No I'm over here doing it too
I'd say there more like brother and sister
No one understand impmon.
😅😅😅😂😂
Hes funny.
In rhe end hes change.
🤣🤣🤣
I feel like Michael Kovach should voice Impmon if they ever do a modern reboot
The Japanese soundtrack sounds better.
Is JP Impmon the same VA as JP Sonic?
No. He voices Ryo though

Nowadays, the Renamon group is androgynous. Take *Digimon Survive* as an example.
I think English Dub is better.
is a better script indeed but datz all
Oh one million percent
No

@@Gigantotherium that's honestly valid. I hadn't thought of it that way I guess.
Is it just me, or does impmon's voice sounds like that of Kaos from the Skylanders? 😂
