- Hey guys! Another video, I had fun editing this. And here is Miss USA crowning moments from over the years since 1952. Until the present, 2020. Miss USA is an American beauty pageant that has been held annually since 1952 to select the entrant from United States in the Miss Universe pageant.
Currently, Miss USA 2020 is Asya Branch from Mississippi and she will represent the United States in the upcoming Miss Universe pageant 2020.
Personally, I was dismayed but as I see her performances that changed the perspective for me, and hopefully she will stand out for Miss Universe 2020.
Extreme lags caused several mistakes like how Macel's image was incorrect and some clips were unexpectedly cut and video getting fast for no reason. Apologies...
Talking about production is a 50/50 proportion but still a good show overall, even with this global and problematic pandemic slowing us down this year but thankfully, Miss Universe Organization worked hard to give us a great 2020 of pageantry!
Update: Miss USA 2020 Asya Branch is Top 21.

@@perladelao really most of the time though. the real announcement of the winner already gets lost in the music and the crowd's screams. but i get what you mean with depends on the announcer.

Some of the VERY best Miss USAs are from the 1970s: Miss USAs 1970, 1973, and 1978 were all first runners-up at Miss Universe and were definitely Miss Universe material.

Update: Miss USA 2021's Elle Smith finished Top 10 in Miss Universe 2021 in Israel and Miss USA 2022's R'Bonney Gabriel won the Miss Universe crown in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Illinois, 3 wins in a row from 1972 to 1974, with New York as the 1st runner up in all 3 occasions.
Illinois had two wins in a row in 1973 and 1974, but Hawaii won in 1972.
@@radley13 Virginia 1969 and Illinous 1973, I noticed, both crowned a person from their home state as their successor and both lost out the MU crown to the Philippines.

I remember people saying that it was rigged. California should have won in 1988. I clearly remember her being a fantastic contestant! The runner up, for 87, should have won too.

With R'Bonney's victory first at Miss USA 2022 (which was the 10th overall win for Texas), that both times Miss Texas won both Miss USA & Miss Universe were beautiful women who were bi-racial (the gorgeous & may she RIP Chelsi Smith, Miss Texas, Miss USA & Miss Universe 1995 AND the equally gorgeous R'Bonney Gabriel, Miss Texas, Miss USA & Miss Universe 2022).

The 1 winner from Alabama was Sylvia Louise Hitchcock, who won Miss Universe 1967. She was actually from Massachusetts but won the title when she was going to school in AL. I only point it out because she was from the Merrimack Valley in MA as am I, and she is my all time favorite winner.
Back during the period between the early 90s until the early 2000s, Halle Berry's beauty is one of the most glorified and captivating NOT JUST IN the world of beauty pageant, but also in Hollywood. She was a first runner up in 1986 at Miss USA. And I thought, in order for someone to beat the calibre of Halle Berry and her beauty, you have to be either the most beautiful Miss USA of all time or the most outstanding in terms of overall accomplishment outside the beauty pageant. Then, i did the pursing of the lips just like Meryl Sreep in the Devil Wears Prada, which means "catastrophe". LMAO

The first runners-up from 1986 to 1991 were sent (yet unannounced for some reason) to Miss World.
1990 1st runner-up South Carolina - Gina Tolleson went on to win Miss World 1990.
They wouldn't announce it because in essence, Miss World is a competitive organization. It's all about the ratings and media coverage.

I wished that Bob Goen, at both USA and at Universe, would have said who Chesi represented during her crownings instead of just her name: Miss Texas is Miss USA. Miss USA is Miss Universe.
