Ask the Expert: Specialized MH Caseloads in Probation

For this session in the Ask the Expert Series, Dr. Gary S. Cuddeback, interim dean and associate dean for research at Virginia Commonwealth University, discussed specialized mental health caseloads in probation and lessons learned from the implementation of these caseload types in a large southeastern state. This session addressed the complex needs of justice-involved individuals with serious mental illnesses and how specialized caseloads create additional opportunities for collaboration with mental health services.
