You don’t know how much you posting this means to me!!! My copy was eaten by my vhs and I was so mad!!! Haven’t seen this in 23 years ... I would watch it every Saturday morning along with the 1988 highlight vhs !!! Thank you thank You thank you!!!
These were some of the best years. Watching Neely, Bourqe, Moog etc..getting pumped up and going outside to put on the Mylec goalie pads on and playing street hockey in the actual street..moving the nets out of the way when a car comes..you don't see that anymore.
Gotta hand it to the oiler who made a perfect poke check on Glen Wesley while he had that yawning, open net in from of him. As a result, instead of being able to skate right up and tap it in, This forced Wesley into an uncomfortable backhand while going the wrong way, resulting in him lofting it sky- high towards Boston harbor instead of a 1-0 series lead for the Bruins. ..And I bet if that had been the case and Boston had won game 1, they would habe kept Moog in for game 2 instead of giving the nod to Lemelin. If that happened I wouldn't be surprised if Boston had won that one as well...and of course they won game 3...so this single play could habe TOTALLY changed the result of the series. Boston definitely deserved to win it all in 1990 (along with many many, MANY other tragic springs)
People forget that Oilers team was loaded. Plus they just swept Gretzky and the Kings a few weeks earlier. Oilers shut down the B's offense. Which this very video mentions the Bruins offense would stall for weeks at a time. Still that Whaler series is something. Undated playoff series.
This makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Have all their autographs. Grew up and played hockey in the town they practiced in. We used to wait for them before practice outside the back door and they all stopped to sign. Thanks for sharing. Nostalgic.
Swear to God, when the people at the highlighting place are deciding which background song to have during the highlights, this is labled as 1990-1992 DEFAULT
Oh man johnny carter...eventually had an eye remived due to an injury with the bruins....however i can say i personally witnessed him score 5 goals in a game on january 5th 1995 fior the ahl worcester icecats
Bourque choked again this season and failed to deliver a Cup to Boston against an Oilers team without Gretzky. That was his big chance but he didn't step up the way Leetch did in 1994.
Typical Rangers fan shoe horning themselves in because they almost choked away a 3-1 series lead to Vancouver. Bourque had 17 points in 17 games this playoffs. He was +11. The fuck else do you want him to do. Leetch was on a loaded Rangers team. With 5 HoF'ers including in net. While Ray watched Wesley miss a wide open net.
Marty McFly, great friend of Cam Neely, doing the narration. I love it
"Back to The Future Hockey Time, I Love It!"
"Cam Neely Was One Tough Kick Ass Player & Fighter!"

26:14 the road of the crowd and Fred screaming SCORE!!!!!! Chills every time.

Wilmington, MA.
@@afmartin2734 yes sir. Nice town growing up. 👍
Andy Moog, former junior with the Billings Bighorns, now the Tri City Americans.
31:55 - OMG Wesley
Still painful to watch.
Haunts me to this day. If he scores we win the series
This may sound like the biggest "duh" ever but , if Wesley hit that open net, that series would have had a different outcome.
Andy brickley before playing the straight guy for jack edawrds

I can say I personally played at a party at which he attended Lynn Ma.
4:13 not typical of roy to fold like that
He was 4-1 in the Stanley Cup Finals.
Time to get neeley another ring....go bruins

They beat the Oilers in the regular season then like always loose to the Oilers in the Stanley cup lol!!!😂.
What a disaster this season ended in.
Yep. They probably should have been able to beat Edmonton. They were easily as deep. Gretzky was gone, etc.
@@afmartin2734 Ironically Oilers swept Gretzky and the Kings in the Smythe Division Finals.
Lets go Oilers!!!
Fucking weird playoffs as we struggled agianst hartford but ran over montreal
Hartford a division team. It's always like that.
Hartford was a good team in 1990. Just they had serious goal tending issues down the stretch. Ron Francis and Verbeek had 200 points.
LGR
The video is a little jumpy. It makes it hard to watch
