In this video I tackle the arches of our Fiesta ST150.
The amount of dirt was not as bad as I thought but don't think they have ever seen a clean!
This is part 1 and the next video will be full interior clean and after that full machine polishing stage.

I’ve also had the wheels off and been scrubbing today! sprayed the callipers and hubs silver to freshen it all up while I was there too
How bad was yours? I feel mine is the worst in England haha

DJ Lloydy similar state actually except my callipers had never been painted before. I also have a few rusty spots back there nothing really concerning but I’d like to try slow it down some time, not tackled that before so hopefully you do a video on it first
Well hopefully before the summer is out I can give it a go and give some advice, I’m no professional though so don’t listen to me too closely lol
DJ Lloydy I see that bilt hamber do a range of rust inhibitors, not really looked into it much yet maybe it’s beyond that and just need hamerite smeared over it lol

You seen my video of fully cleaning the wheel arches? Makes such a difference doing a wheel off job
Yes mate watched that, I didn’t go into as much detail as you did but will do mine again in the summer next year as I’m thinking of doing an underbody restoration to the car to clear up all the rust etc
@@DJLloydy would love to do that, have the underside all cleaned up and the axles stripped and powder coated.
But can imagine the costs 😢
Yeah I’m pricing it all up to see if it’s worth doing just yet.... need to get the Focus done first haha
Some points / recommendations to give. Try Bilt hamber auto foam and their atom mac. The snow foam is probably the best out there and the atom mac you can spray on rusty areas to slow down the process. I also do recommend you getting a wheel ceramic. Something like carbon collectives and gtechniq do some for wheels. My dad had the carbon collectives wheel coating and honestly the wheels on our cars seem to not get as dirty now plus dirt comes off a lot more easier when you pressure wash it off 👍
Cheers Zain, I really want the ceramic coating but not got round to ordering but will hopefully get some for winter time, the poorboys stuff I used is a few years old now so that will get me through for a bit until I get some. I have rustoleum stuff that will be used on the car when it’s not so hot as I want to film it etc. Will try applying some paint as well to tidy it all up :)
@@DJLloydy definitely do get a wheel ceramic coating 👍. I also need to paint my front calipers. I fitted front and rear ST brakes on my zetec s and painted the rear calipers gloss black. Need to do the front ones. What was the trim dressing you used for the arches?
100% on my list to purchase lol will make life easier for me. Would like to ceramic coat the car as well but again got 700 waxes to use up!!
The trim dressing is Meguairs Hyper dressing, it’s proper greasy stuff though so perfect for arches, one of my mates thought it was window cleaner when helping me clean my car once haha that ended well
You are missing the the aux belt cover which covers the lower part of the belt.
Oh really, thank you for pointing that out mate! I will have to speak to the breakers yard for some parts haha knowing my luck the brackets would of snapped lol

Great video, that’s my next job to , what did you torque you wheel nuts up to when you refited the wheels???
Thanks James! It’s a boring job but worth getting done. I done them up to 135 NM and when I drive it will make sure I test them again.

Thanks mate :) we have an 11 year old and it was tough but I just stayed outside till it was done :)
