Wonderful! Every time I watch a video of yours like this, where you combine quite "ordinary", mostly neutral pieces in outfits that are in essence quite simple, but at the same time striking, I am newly re-inspired to try harder with my own stuff. This type of video is so valuable to us viewers, because it's not Lydia showing off her $25.000 Birkin, or her new 5000 dollar coat,, it's actually attainable, practical inspiration. You can't buy good taste, and even the most expensive things can look tacky and gaudy on people if they lack the oomph YOU bring to the most mundane, "boring " pieces. Can't thank you enough.
Ahhh ladies you have really made my day! That is so kind and I’m so happy to hear that what I want to achieve and share is translating ❤️. Thank you so much for your support, it really is invaluable 🌟
These are legit my favourite videos from you, Lydia! It's a common problem we all deal with and really inspires us to shop our own wardrobe, rather than purchase something new. It's a sustainable concept AND is consistent content to put up on your channel. Thank you! Please make more!!
Hello, I just want you to know that there's an avid fan of yours in Korea, too.I am just so lucky to have found you on TH-cam I've always thought that I knew my style and my color well, but after watching your clips, there was just so much more to how much I can improve!!!! You are just so so amazing.Your lessons taught me that you can look effortlessly chic and elegant even if you are shopping from zara or h&m while a lot of korean fashion you tubers are recommending us to buy hermes, chanel and dior. You are the first one that I am subscribing to and I'm always looking forward to a new video! Thank you again!!!!
Ooh please do a cardigan styling vid. I like this outfit idea. I’m going to try more with my cardis. I have a few and they’re great for inter seasonal layering or extra warmth - but can easily just look a bit frumpy or meh 🤭
When you started talking about the v-neck pieces and not wearing them because they are v-neck and your neck gets cold...I'm 65. My mom, when she went through menopause, could not stand anything around her neck; it felt too confining. I'm somewhat the same way. I love the v-neck cashmere sweaters I have, and if my neck gets too cold, which it does, I have a lovely collection of cashmere scarves (not scarves, really, they're shawl-sized) that I can wrap around my neck and put on and take off as I need to during the day. I have cashmere scarves in deep gray, black, pale camel, and my newest from my son who lives in Peru, beige and off-white alpaca with designs of the Nazca lines in the weave. So cool. I even wear them in summer because they're so lightweight and multi-purpose.
Thank you, Lydia. I loved this video. I also have so many lovely pieces that I neglect to wear because I am just at a loss for why I purchased them and what did I have in mind to wear with them. This gave me a lot of ideas. Loved all your reworked outfits. Yes, you are right, I just need to spend an afternoon restyling these neglected pieces, just like you did. I would love more Shop your Closet videos.
Great video! I know that brand sponsorships are an important part of revenue for your work, but videos like this one where we can see how you interact with your existing wardrobe and how you style pieces you already have are so so so insightful! I think you really identified the value of going through our wardrobes routinely and figuring out why certain pieces are being neglected, whether there is a common underlying theme, and how those pieces can be reimagined. Videos of this style are so creative and inspiring - I'd love to see more of them in the future! I love hearing your thought process and style philosophy
Love the coat/blazer you are wearing. You are so masterful at taking wardrobe pieces and styling them in a new way. This video is inspiring me to take some of my own "hardly-worn" pieces and creatively putting them in a new light! Thanks.
very helpful video. I have 2 blazers that are tied like yours. I love them and yet have never worn them because I couldn't figure out how they work - I will give it another go. Thank you!
Since I have been watching these video's I keep thinking no items are ugly or stupid, you just need to play around with it and find a way to style it 😍 and fall in love with it
I put this on as I was sorting my rather minimal wardrobe and you gave an idea how to use my cashmere V-neck. Thank you, dear Lydia!! You are the best!
I appreciate these videos because it helps me to hone in on why items work effortlessly for me and why others take a bit more conscious styling. I have a few items that I like and serve a purpose but they always feel a little bit off or not as natural to wear. After I watched this, I pulled out one and played around with it and it works much better now. It’s not a piece I will repeat purchase and now I know what to look for the next time I buy something similar. In the meantime, I will get a lot more wear out of it and that’s always a win 😊
Hi Lydia, I have discovered your videos quite recently. You have an innate sense of style. I like how you think of proportions and different combinations. I like how you can 'dress down' some outfits to make more elegant outfits more appropriate for day time wear. Truly amazing outfits! It is a pleasure to watch your video
Hi Lydia!! I’m a newer subscriber and have already found immense value and ideas from you. Would you consider doing a video on your closet organizing? I find that I don’t keep an efficient inventory on my pieces, which leads me to buy duplicate or unnecessary clothes. God bless ❤
Those Paris Texas boots are stunning! It is really elevating the whole outfit! Trying to pull out an old Chanel-style jean cardigan jacket, yes jean, and see how I can restyle that. Got a old chunky white knit sweater I want to restyle too that will bring a new look to it. I think the right accessories are key 🔑.
If you have a jumper/ sweater bralette or even a silky glittery one , you could unbutton your cardigan “ a bit more” and wear it THAT way😊. Thanks for the vids Lydia💐❣️
Hi Lydia, just a note to say thank you so much for all your inspiration this year. You have really helped me to make my wardrobe work hard for me this year. You’ve helped me save money this year 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ Happy Christmas
All very cute, like the blazer as coat added with the knit hat! You'd look spectacular in a flour sack .. but yes these were all very sharp, gave me ideas, thanks!
Brilliant!! I have a grey v neck jumper that was longing for something underneath and lo and behold I have a denim shirt which will work. I also have a white shirt with collar I can put under my cardy. Thank you so much Lydia. As soon as it warms up a bit I am off to search my wardrobe. It is minus o degrees here in Greater Manchester as you will know. I have a button through dress with collar, midi length from H and M, I need to make work. It just swamps me as it is. I need to take a look at.xx
A useful video. I also have some pieces that are beautiful and I can't bear to part with them. I just need to think of them differently. I loved the last outfit with the maxi skirt! BTW, I purchased the Arket black oversized jumper that you had listed in one of your recent videos. I don't normally wear oversized pieces, so now I need to go back to your video and see if I can recreate outfits using what I have in my closet.
The cardigan is beautiful.🥰 However, I also find it difficult to style thick (vs flowy) boxy knits. - Especially if they’re gathered at the hip. The half tuck helps by accentuating the waist and taking away some of the bulk. Bomber jackets also add a lot of bulk to the midsection.
Lydia I really like your videos and I think you have great explanations of the "theory behind" why something looks good :) one thing I struggle with during winter (or always haha) is outdoor to indoor - for example when it comes to balancing tight and chunky I often feel like the balance is ruined when I put the jacket on or take it off, do you have any recommendations for this?
Hi Lydia, I have really enjoyed this video, you have such great ideas with style. Can I just say, another choice to wear with the button up cardigan, would be to wear, a frilly high neck blouse underneath and still be nice and warm.Have a great weekend.
So useful video, thank you very much, Lydia, I liked your styles very much; I will definitely try to do that with my things. And I would sure love to see more of similar videos ❤
The obvious choice (IMO) for that gorgeous cardigan would be to pair it worn open with a black bustier, the long black skirt you wore for the first look, and high heel black knee high boots. You could also wear it with the bustier, skirt and boots cinched at the waist with a skinny belt. Also, the last look was fire. Very Lemaire!
I bought my first Fillipa k blazer, it is stunning and I can feel the quality and I know I will be wearing it for years to come and I bought it from Vestier Collective at half the price.
Your styling is fantastic as always. The items you had not been worn are also items I am not at all tempted to buy for myself though. Would you wear the outfits you put together - or would you actually rather wear something else, to be honest?
I'm new to styling clothing. Thank you I've been inspired to have a go making the puffy sleeve crop jumper. If I can figure out how to send a photo when finished.
Dear Lydia, Thank you for your videos, they are very inspiring, I love your style :) Pls advise why did you took the ARKET boots size up (7th outfit)? I'm looking at those for a while now. Thank you
Really enjoy your approach. Have you looked into Kibbe and Kitchener theories because it speaks to proportion and why something works or does not work. Also enjoy Ellie Jean Royden videos for this purpose. I feel like you are dramatic classic with classic essence
I have a question. Could you share where you find your low, not chunky, heel booties? I look and look and never have luck. The low heel always seems to be back (right under your heel), and the front looks long and flat. Hope you understand my description. Thank you.
Lydia please help I have a devine oversized biker jacket and I can't find correct boots to wear with it its currently in my wardrobe crying out to be worn can you please help x
I love this channel and the styling inspiration but there's just something off about the way this trench-ish coat is being styled? It's so much of an outerwear piece and I don't know if it's the rolling of the sleeves but its stretching its purpose a bit haha and consistently having to roll them up makes it look a bit clumsy... maybe it's just me! Just surprised of the choice

Love this comment - it's so true! Lydia shares such great ideas here. Big thanks to her 🙂
She definitely is in a league of her own. 🎉
I totally agree with you!! She always looks like a million bucks!! Great ideas for styling!
Ahhh ladies you have really made my day! That is so kind and I’m so happy to hear that what I want to achieve and share is translating ❤️. Thank you so much for your support, it really is invaluable 🌟
Great coment and loving Lydia
So simply classy as usual, love love love.

Not really you’re target demographic but as a designer I like your rational when it comes to outfits. I’ve def learned a lot thanks to you.
Thanks Lydia! Really appreciate seeing how you reworked clothing that you already own! Hope you do more of this.
Amazing ideas all around! The last outfit with the long black skirt is my favorite. It just looks so chic with the chunky knit and cropped jacket.

Inspired to look at those less frequent pieces for sure! Thank you!
Absolutely love the last look with the skirt😍

Yes! Love that coat, need to know where from?!☺️
Thank you!!!!! We all so appreciate this video Lydia!!!!!

Lydia, this video is the one you should go for in the future. I have the same dilemma when I look at my wardrobe! Thanks for sharing your good ideas!!
The first outfit looks amazing!!
Hi, can you make a video advising on how to wear sweater dresses and what caps/hats/bags/shoes pair well with them. Please.
Thank you so much. So inspiring. Keep on doing this kind of videos !
I purchased 2 pair of earrings from your collection, Lydia. I am in heaven! I love them! They are beautiful. ❤️
Dear Lydia, I found this video so useful and inspiring, thank you very much for your great work!

This was very helpful for me. I own similar colors in my wardrobe and every winter pull out stuff I don't manage to wear, I don't even know why!

Ahhh yes love this!!! I definitely think there are ways to style both really well! ❤️ Good luck with finding your new wardrobe inspo! Xxx
For the khacki pants, I think you would look gorgeous with a burgundy or plum turtleneck with them.
You put together a collection of fabulous outfits and seeing this was very inspiring.
I love it every single outfit is what i look for thank you so much that's really awesome 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Lydia, your ideas are great 🎉❤🎉
Another great video Lydia! Thank you for helping me to figure out how to style myself to feel confident.

Love this concept!🌹🌹

I am not a double denim person, however I do layer my denim shirt under my V neck sweaters all the time.

Thanks Lydia!
this is your best video so far!
Perfection…as always

I'm new to styling clothing. Thank you I've been inspired to have a go making the puffy sleeve crop jumper. If I can figure out how to send a photo when finished.
Congratulation for this video. Very useful ❤
Regarding the first black jumper piece - just tuck the collar in and you can create a collar-less look or even tuck it in a V shape.
Tus outfits son Super wow además eres muy bonita, me encanta ver tus vídeos...
❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥fantastic vid very inspirational loved it
Dear Lydia,
Thank you for your videos, they are very inspiring, I love your style :)
Pls advise why did you took the ARKET boots size up (7th outfit)? I'm looking at those for a while now.
Thank you
Can you film a video of how to style Band T Shirts? I have so many and I love them but have trouble styling them. Would LOVE the advice! ❤
Thanks you for the video give me a ton of idea ❤
