The unassuming little Toyota might just belong to the baddest street racer in all of Japan. Little did Takumi Fujiwara know that his years of delivering tofu for his dad's shop on Mt. Akina would refine his driving skills down to the point of near perfection.

Very enjoyable video and outstanding designs! Always glad to see Initial D get more love in the lego world. Some good choices for a second batch of cars would be Ryosuke’s FC Rx-7 (1st and/or 5th stage), Mako’s Sil80, Hojo’s NSX, Todo’s Ek9 Civic, Okyuama’s S15 Silvia, and Sakai’s DC2 integra.

Check "The blacktop Nomad"'s videos he did a great job, making ALL THE CARS from initial D (even Itsuki's 85 and "papa"s merco benz ! And also built the universe (tofu shop, restaurant, Mount Akina start lane, and the "project D" team... With minifigures representing all the chars... It is incredible ! He also built a part of Tokyo highway with "wangan midnight" cars.
Can't forget Godzilla, Nakazato's R32
Everything in this video shows a high level of expertise, familiarity, and craftsmanship from everyone in involved.

Congrats fukusaku! I've been following his ae86 build for almost 2 years and helped create the 3D model used for the instructions. happy to see the instructions publicly available atlast!

I'd love to see both Kenji's 180 and Toru's Mx-5. Both somewhat technically advanced shapes to master, but based on this video's content, I thinks Fukusaku has it down!

Initial D here shows a dedication to getting things right that Japanese artists share that the Western comic and movie/cartoon industry doesn't give a flying feather about. They've got a lot to learn from the Japanese.

I'd like to see a Lego racing game released like Minecraft where you can make cars and maps out of Lego.

Beautiful designs on all the cars, I have not seen Initial D, but I love Japanese cars so this Is perfect! Incredible work on the WRX and the Lancer! I would love to see more, maybe a NSX?

I was hoping Initial D would be featured on the channel, im a big fan of the anime
I didn't know about it until early last year when fukusaku first suggested it. It's a fun series that plays with real-world racing concepts to a degree that's very unexpected.

The close-ups of those MOC builds do not look very flash at all. Very flimsy-looking. Great from a distance; but up close, no thanks.
Well, it's your opinion, you don't have to like it. But I can assure you that they look good up close too. Best I could do with Lego limitations to make them as accurate as possible and you probably won't find more accurate Initial D cars in this scale. And they are pretty solid builds except roofs and details like side mirrors

If you squint, they got the shapes just right, but I´d prefer a cleaner look with Lego windshields and more clean lines :>
I get your point, but to be honest they look better on a shelf like that. With Lego windshields they look less authentic. Another thing is they look more unfavorably in the video than irl, but I don't know why

The 86 is from the 80’s, the rest of the cars are from the 90’s and 2000’s
