Exellent overview, Luca. Congratulations on your success. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to show us Studio One. I wish you nothing but continued growth in your music producing 👊
Studio is getting better. Let's hope the Fender Guy doesn't steer the ship into the 'Garage' by version 7. If ATMOS happens soon, SO will be a serious contender in all major studios. As of now it's an excellent stereo mixer. But not enough. Fingers crossed.
I’d love to see more House music and popular music producers and artists use Studio One and share insights on how to. I’m really hoping folks at Presonus starts sponsoring these Producers and artists, Specially “House” music because even though it’s not a new style, it’s kind of a big deal, for example new Drake album and Beyoncé incorporating dance house elements and Luca working on it. SO has been great with live audio recording and mastering, but I’m really really hoping nice and Loud and clean music with great bass is gonna be made using SO, and hoping to see it being a new pioneer and lots of artists using it now in the future. 👍💗
also, I’ve been noticing a lot of people struggle with “Arrangement” when it comes to producing, it’s a hot topic. Would love to see some help with that segment too.
Ole PT head that has been converted! What can I say? ... I dropped in on the SO 6 release, as I joined Sphere a few weeks ago to give an honest attempt this time. I got up and running in a very short time and my PT skills transferred with sheer ease. I'm still discovering the intuitive workflow features, but have converted ALL my EP stems to SO 6 and riding OUT ... Having these EXPERT sessions from Luca is a "sweet" cherry on top!!
Pls Luca make a video only for Podcasters the most used features and tips +tricks of the New Studio One 6.0 . I got it 3 days ago. GRazie attendo tue news ,best regards, Max from Riccione -Italy
this is my daw now , just works for my workflow i can work with maschine like i want too and my mpc one along side my analogy samplers s3000xl and s5000 it just works been fighting for workflow for years from cubase to maschine to mpc one cubase was not cutting my flow studio one i can work with everything with no crashing and use everything stable studio one is mine now
@@kyleritter3074 Everything for me was hard to do in Cubase. The UI was really not user friendly. Hard to really pinpoint but it felt outdated, too many menus to get simple things done. Windows disappeared behind other windows, just hard to get around and I found myself losing my inspiration and creativity by constantly having to search and find thing I was trying to accomplish. I guess tedious is a good word. Since I’ve started using Studio One I’m wowed constantly with its ease of use and customization. Windows stay open, I can resize, it even feels snappier. It’s more fun and not drudgery.
@@akeyunturned2256 this makes the most sense. I used to use Cubase and it was always clunky. I demod 12 when S1v6 was announced and it just still seemed so clunky and difficult
@@insidechocolatewithjimothy5313 Thanks. That's a bummer. I use a looper pedal all the time. I wish they could add it in the software. Maybe in future hopefully.
I have been using S1 since 2019, but now in 2024 I see that advance features like Stem Separation is available in Logic and FL but S1 doesn't. I may switch to FL one day in near future because of its advance features like stem separation and lifetime free updates. S1 must do R&D to meet up to date competition as per with other daws and if possible, give free lifetime updates like FL.
How about some clip based type of loop launcher ,how about some more innovative instruments, how about a more modern approach instead of more complicated clutter Read the manual stuff. this was a creative daw when it started out.
I like S1, but Im still on v4 and find no real need to upgrade, I guess thats a testament to the program being fundamentally excellent. It suffers from screen bloat, as in it can get very busy seemingly with clickable text for every known function to mankind covering every square inch of the GUI, totally unnecessary. The integration of their StudioLive consoles is amazing and alone puts this ahead of most other DAWs on the market.
Hi I have a question ⁉️ my PC has low specifications: intel(r) celeron(r) 2957u @ 1.40ghz 4 GB ram Intel(R) HD Graphics 1000 GB HDD Harddisk could these specifications run's Studio one 6 artist without having problems❓
No dedicated haas delay but you can make one, and the 'Splitter' native device allows for M/S processing of any signal. I'll have to double check if the stock EQ does M/S as well, as I recently bought a 3rd party one.
The EQ does not have M/S. However as Nkozi points out, you can use the MS Transform function in the Mixtool. If used with a Splitter, you can then process the M/S EQ further, like tuning the sides with delay. I've done quite a few tips on Mid-Side processing in my Friday Tip series in the Studio One blog, as well as my Studio One eBook. Hope this helps.
Not at all dude.. in fact I found that all my 3rd party plugins that didn't work properly n 1.5 are now fine in 1.6 - it was worth the upgrade just for that!
I love the work flow in Studio One. It's the only DAW you really enjoy mixing mastering and making a beat in. Never gets boring.
Except automation 😂 Still a pain in the ass.

@@peterbaldowski1 Isn't every DAW the same? That's the point of automation. You do it at the end of your mixing session to spice things up.
Best digital audio workstation and still growing and getting better!!

I used Pro Tools for 4 years and Cubase for 3 years. I've been using Studio One for almost 4 years and can't imagine a better DAW!
Same here! It’s only getting better
This is one of the best videos on V6. Seeing a few of the new features in context of Luca's daily workflow was invaluable.
More and more convinced and satisfied with the chosen one!

It still sucks that you cannot simply link plugins to hear how something sounds dual mono, without having to make a buss
