Is this really the best beach in St. Martin / Sint Maarten?
Welcome to a new episode of The Best Beaches of St. Martin / St. Maarten.
As you probably already know I am in SXM during this pandemic.
I was here during the lockdown and this is the best time to show you how this island really looks like without the tourists.
I am one of the few tourists who got "stuck" on this island.
I was not really stuck, because I did not want to take the flight back home.
I'm actually enjoying my stay on this island without other tourists.
Empty streets, empty beaches and all the beautiful places are less crowdy.
This is my ultimate dream to visit countries like this.
Unfortunately this pandemic brings also a lot of depression to the locals.
This island suffers a lot, because they were still rebuilding the island after hurricane irma, and now they are suffering because of this pandemic.
More than 90% of the people on this island live from the tourism.
Let's hope that this pandemic will go away as soon as possible.
But I am taking you with me on this unique SXM experience of the best beaches of St. Martin.

Brings back great memories of spending the whole day there or orient in the late 80s and 90s wanted to retire there but life hit some roadblocks and never happened and can't think I'll ever get back used to have 2 weeks at the towers every year
We go there every year, multiple times a year. Dany makes the best rum punches at the Cupecoy Beach Bar

Beautiful beach. I will have to check it out next time I am in St. Martin. I have only been to Orient Beach, Happy Bay Beach and Maho Beach. Going nude at the beach is perfectly natural. No tan lines and no wet suit - just the sun and water on your skin. Once you try it you will never want to wear a suit again.

Orient is on the east side of thenisland and cupecoy is on the west.

@@ninaw3748 I like better Happy Bay, Orient Bay Beach, Grand Case Beach, Grand Case Beach petite plage, Pinel Island Beach, Mullet Bay Beach, Plum Beach, but also Philipsburg Beach.
