Great video brother, I often wonder how many people think I show up, teach class, and go home. Seems so easy lol...
I worked in the corporate world long before opening my own academy and for many years, I did both. I was probably clocking close to 90 hour weeks the last two years before going full time. Once I went full time it is closer to 100. Owning your own business is way more labor intensive than working for someone else... so what even makes it worth it? LIVING YOUR PASSION!

If it was not for the fact that I love Brazilian Jiu jitsu I would have gotten out of this business long ago. It truly is a work of love.

@ you gave some really good advice. I just wish I would’ve planned a little bit better. I had to really learn business and learn my numbers and how many people I needed to get in front of and what my closing rate was I was lucky to get in touch with someone name, Mike Massey, who runs an amazing program but yeah, like you said you can’t just be a great instructor and expect to be successful in business

Its all failures and perseverance. Eventually you can take a check but really all I do is try and grow and improve my product line. I guess its about becoming better always at what I am selling. Sell buy more sell more! Anyone need a sword?
