After being on and off the mats for many years, doing MMA, etc... I had reached a point that still being a white belt was very frustrating. More recently when I train I just think of the mental and physical benefits regardless of my belt color. This video came at a good time for me. Thanks
Comparison is the thief of joy. Unless you are training to be a high level competitor at IBJJF World's, ADCC or UFC then what does your progress in comparison to others really matter?
What would it be in the way of? My beard gets pulled while rolling sometimes and it is not a problem anymore than someone with long hair. Thanks for watching.
I have never had a problem with it and have competed in numerous tournaments as a black belt. If my beard gets pulled I work through it. Thank you for your insights.

So glad to be training with you on this Jiu Jiitsu and life journey.
The only real question is: "Am I better at this than I was a month ago?"
@@edwardkeeter762 I agree!
Your beard looks fine man 🤙
Thanks my friend. I appreciate you.
I like the beard. 18 year Brown belt here.
Thanks my friend!
Sacrificial comment to appease the TH-cam algorithm Gods.
Good to hear from you my friend. Looking forward to your next visit to San Antonio.
Actually…… you do have to compare yourselves to others.

I dont really care how your beard looks , but if its constantly getting in the way it is my problem.

Reaching for a high collar grip goes right into beards like yours. People with long hair should have it tied up and out of the way.
