    This is the best ever videography on how fissure becomes a single vent volcano. So cool. Thanks for uploading.

    Just phenomenal videography. Slowly, slowly, the white smoke has more red in it and I realized that those were burning particles. Incredible! Who has ever seen a volcanic eruption while it was raining?

    Great footage. It captures the start of a fissure eruption perfectly then watches it grow into something very powerful. Thank You for sharing. Stay safe all. 🌋🙏🇮🇸

    Danke, sehr gute Zusammenfassung vom Beginn der Spaltenbildung und der Lavaeruption. Seltene Aufnahmen🙂

    It's like the plains of Mordor. You would almost expect to see Frodo and Sam stagger by on the way to Mount Doom.

      Funny because in the chatrooms last night it seems Gandalf was the name that stuck for the name of the big fissure. It is of course in the valley of Driffellshaun! Lol

    Who do you suppose was in the car at 5:40? They seem to have gotten much closer to the lava than they should have!

    How far away can the tremors be felt from there?

    • @stebbigu
      @stebbigu  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 5.2 earthquake was felt way north in the Westfjords. Quite some distance away from the epicenter. Thankfully the seismic activity seized after the eruption started. To many peoples relive :)

    Shame that the actual site of the eruption was in a spot just hidden from all the cameras set up in the area to catch it?

    • @stebbigu
      @stebbigu  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A guy named Jakob Vegerfors waited out there for a few days and hit the jackpot. He caught it on video when the fissures were just opening.
      Just incredible to see!

    I watched it twice:
    The second time at double speed. Therefore, I was watching it at extra extra speed. But, you sped it up at the end - which meant I was watching it at extra EXTRA extra speed.
    I need to lay down, now.

    Here's a conceptual art idea for someone: Make the words "Magmatic Inclusion" out of steel. Put your steel words in the way of the lava flows. Watch them get engulfed.

    Is this as dangerous as the probable Yellowstone explosion that will end the world?

    • @carsongallegos5211
      @carsongallegos5211 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No where near close, Yellowstone isn’t anywhere ready to erupt as well in a cataclysmic fashion as the magma chamber is only at 15% melt.

    • @lolvondgf

      @@TheStockwellCO2 , SO2, Methane probably

    • @JayTor2112
      @JayTor2112 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheStockwell Mostly hydrogen. The sun is made up of 92% hydrogen, and it is the primary driving factor of our climate, which has constantly fluctuated from one extreme to another over billions fo years. I don't think there is much hydrogen coming out of the volcano. But we're all about to live like it's 1889 because of a "climate emergency", I can't wait to ride a horse to work.
