@@megpeiffer7690 I know! I don’t know what to do. Everyone keeps saying how nice my skin looks with it on so I might give it another try. Maybe with a mattifying primer.
Wait, you can return a foundation that has been opened? I wished we could in France :( I have so many with the wrong shade or who didn't performed well on me...
HI Michele!!! I luv your content and have enjoyed watching you for years!!! I'm not a makeup artist but I am an enthusiastic. If I may so bold....I have a suggestion for the amount of fallout you experienced with the Chanel.... Tap off the excess powder on your brush before application. It may help with the fallout. Thank you again for all of your content!!! Hugs from TO. Gord.
How very interesting, I was given two samples of each shade 2N and 2W of the Dior skin glow foundation to try, it didn’t blow my skirt up. On me this is very glowing, as the day goes on I have to powder a bit, doesn’t oxidise either. I am on the fence with this, I don’t dislike it but not in love with it either.
Thank you for your review. Interesting about the Dior Forever Glow. The previous formula oxidized so much, this new one doesn’t as much. I get .5. I feel like maybe the new formula isn’t as nice to my skin though and doesn’t look as good as you said. LI feel less impressed with the finish even though the colour is slightly better.
Hey Michelle! Thought about engaging the troll, but thought instead I’d write you to thank you. I’m a new mum and your videos are so soothing and fun to watch. They are my little moments of personal peace in the midst of being a mom.
Really appreciate that you update your rankings by comparing new against your holy grails. Most You-tubers don’t do this and I find it highly beneficial. Thanks!
Return those Dior ones!! Thank you for your honest review. Speaking of setting down, I don't know if I own any foundation that doesn't need powder. What do you have that does? I can't stand for there to be any tackiness after application...
I was hoping you would do a ranking. Now I'm interested in knowing how the Surrat Dew Drops ranks in comparison to your new favorites. I have a small stash of foundations so am in no hurry to purchase more right now.
I have 3 of the 6 foundations you mentioned - Shiseido skin tint (love), Chanel No. 1 (love), Charlotte Tilbury (like). I wish I could find a Nars shade that works for me. Every shade I've tried in any Nars foundation ends up very very yellow on me. Unfortunately I don't even bother trying Nars foundations anymore. Dior foundations are a hard no for me because alcohol is so high up in the list. As soon as I put on a Dior foundation my skin feels very tights. I have the Airflash which I've worn maybe 5 times but will only wear it for a short period of time. Thank you for your thoughts on these new foundations.
I have been trying out the Dior forever glow foundation for the past week, and have so far really enjoyed the formula. I too have dry, sensitive skin. Maybe my skin prep agrees well with the formula (I use a kiehls moisturizer, supergoop sunscreen, and tatcha primer). I did notice that it wore better when I set it with the CT compact powder or the one size loose powder, rather than the Dior backstage powder. I do agree about the oxidation and was lucky to work with a Sephora employee who properly matched me. I was surprised they recommended 1CR as I tend to be more neutral, but so far it's a perfect match. The CT foundation is my next test, but it looks beautiful on you!
Love, love, love the new CT foundation. Michele, I'm soon to be 48, and have like you very dry (and also really sensitive) skin, and this is finally a formula that's absolutely Perfect for me, All Day long 😊 Thank you for your review (and also for all your other wonderful and often calming uploads) - I got mine from Selfridges (London) just after watching your video. Also, Butters... 😍 Dogs are inherently good and we are so lucky to share our lives with them. I'm sure we agree they are a true blessing all round. Big hugs to you both and all the best
I don't care for the new CT foundation. I knew it wasn't full coverage but I thought it would better cover the dark spots on my cheeks. Plus my texture was emphasized. I powdered it and it looked a bit better. I have Nars coming in a Sephora order. I think I'll like it better.
I got the Nars and I totally LOVE it, it just blew my mind, it’s so lightweight I feel like I wearing no foundation at all and my skin looks beautiful. I know foundation is a very personal choice, what works for some doesn’t work for others. Nars is definitely doing wonders for me and I think I just found THE ONE. But it’s just my personal experience.
I too am a fan of the CT Beautiful Skin Foundation. I use it when I want a bit more coverage. I commented on your last video that I wondered if you had tried the Kosas Tinted Face Oil Foundation. I have very dry skin, and this foundation keeps my skin looking dewy, and not dry. Some foundations tend to make me look like I’m wearing a mask.
I agree with you 100% on the Dior Skin glow foundation. There is no glow and it’s more of a full coverage foundation and very matte. I just saw Pampered Wolfs review of the new Chanel foundation and thought I NEED TO CHECK out your review on the Chanel foundation. I am definitely going to try a sample. How would you compare the new Chanel to the Armani Luminous silk foundation. That is my favorite dewy foundation. Thank you.
The CT is very flattering on you. I like how you have applied it. I am also enjoying the CT. I had stopped putting anything on and now I am enjoying foundation again. It’s so easy to apply and wear. Your skin looks perfect with it on. You have a healthy, filtered look with a smoothness to your skin. It’s very natural looking and provides an inner glow that is beautiful. It’s also not drying.
Hi Michelle, thanks so much for the great reviews. I have a problem with a lot of CT products because she uses a pharmaceutical derivative of vitamin E that I am so allergic to. It is the acetate form of tocopherol. I know why brands use it because it has a longer shelf life, but my skin breaks out in welts. It took me a long time to narrow it down to this and the help of a very good dermatologist. So no for me to CT, but I am excited to try the Chanel. I will need to smell it first to see how fragranced it is. I also love NARS products. Thanks so much for ranking these.
Chanel has one of the best luxury foundations on the market; and I want a hydrating, blurring, flawless, cake-less, buildable, no foundation look; also, concealer, setting powder, and bronzer do not disappoint.
Gosh, I'm getting to the point where I am thinking about veering away from Department store/luxury make-up. I cannot tell you how many great products have been reformulated or discontinued for the worse! Do I really need to go to drugstore make-up? The products are just okay, but they are reliable in their availability. At the very least, i can count on them! Great video, thank you!
In car screaming because I have been waiting for this. I’m on the hunt. Abs your recommendations have been spot on ! Love it. And you. Time to spend my coin
Dior has always oxidised for me. Since the 80’s every Dior foundation I’ve ever had has done it. Recently I don’t feel the backstage face & body one does and maybe spray one is ok.
Glad I picked up the CT foundation and not all the rest. I was contemplating the Chanel one but it's over $90 in Canada and for that price it has to be absolute perfection!
I agree about the CT Beautiful Skin. I get excited to put it on. *that says a lot! 2N is nearly a perfect shade for me. I enjoy Rare Beauty Soft Pinch blush in Hope over my cheeks after application. IF I am just playing I will spray CT Setting Spray over my finished look and freak myself out if I catch a glimpse. It's crazy cool! *Shiseido Synchro Self Refreshing Tint (Light Buna) arrives today and I think [for me] it will be more of an everyday base. The CT is being saved for special occasions or nighttime use. 👍 What a bummer about Dior. (oxidation is a hard no) Thanks Michele 🌿🕊️💕🌍
I’d love to see a new update on your favorite foundations!!! I seem to like the same products for the same reasons as you do & I want the same light coverage from base products so all of your rankings & break downs are always super helpful to me!!! Thank You!!! 🤗👍
I'm loving the new Chanel foundation. Bought it from their site, without too high of hopes as I suspected I was not the demo for this one, yet it is great on me. Comfortable, long-wearing, flattering. Completely forgot I had it on all day yesterday, looked at myself at 10 pm as I was turning in, and thought I looked naturally spectacular! It's a win for me. I have zero interest in the CT as I find her line generally underwhelming. Never made a CT repurchase ever.
Got a sample of the CT- really beautiful! I will be purchasing - thanks so much for your help… And it turns out I ended up with the same color as you-fun!
This was really helpful, thanks Michele! I’m currently hooked on my first bottle of the La Mer, and I can’t seem to rationalize getting anything else while I’m working through it. And unless I hear about something else Amazing, I may just purchase it again. The cost is painful, but it’s such a great product!
It’s such a gorgeous foundation. My skin is always softer and more supple when I’ve been wearing my La Mer foundation for a couple of days after it’s been removed💝
I never heard of anyone not liking La Mer foundation. The only complain about it is its strong smell, which some people dislike (hence they do not use it). Other than that it is pretty nearly perfect. I have been using it for years and luckily I am fine with its smell (although I am usually sensitive to smells). It is not cheap, but many say it is a great value for the quality of product that it is.
Well…… if YOU love it then I know I’ll love it too! (just placed my order). And just so you know I blame YOU for my love of high end beauty products ☺️. In the past all of my purchases were drugstore (nothing wrong with drugstore)…… UNTIL I found your channel! I honestly didn’t think high end products were worth the price tag. I was wrong. I completely and totally trust your opinion, and I literally watch every video you post. Thank you, thank you…. THANK YOU!
Hi Michele, I just came across your channel cos I'm looking for good foundation for dry asian skin, lo and behold, you're a perfect match for my search :-) I myself am 46 years old and I was just thinking we'll be looking for the same things we need in our make-up products. Kinda worried im going to look through all your reviews now and be extremely excited about the products you are fan of (im sure my savings will be very pleased hehee) Keep up the great work, cheers.
Michellle, new subscriber here…. This could not have been better timing. So… i am a retired mature women who has not spent much time on makeup…at my adult daughters urging I am trying to take it up a notch in appearance (you know too relaxed natural 😌) so at your last review of Charlotte Tilbury foundation I ordered it and the eyeliner you talked about and my first try on was this morning. I won! I really like this makeup. All makeup is a little much for me but here I sit make up and oyster Pearl eye shadow on. Thank you for reminding me it’s Ok to take the time. Love your videos. Now I have to figure out the Sun block thing🙂.
What was the eyeliner? The oyster pearl is a Charlotte Tilbury cream eyeshadow, not an eyeliner so I am curious, I need a good eyeliner in my life! Thanks in advance!!
Thanks for this review Michele. How might you rate Lisa Eldridge’s foundation. I have used the new Chanel and Charlotte Tilbury ones but much prefer Lisa’s. Btw, I am 68 with normal skin and I get a beautiful natural yet perfected finish.
Another great video, Michele! I am going to try your other top foundations from Channel, Charlotte Tilbury and Shiseido. I’m so disappointed with NARS that their new foundation colors are “off”! I have used the shade Barcelona for years, but the new foundation has a slightly different undertone. I am 55, and still have oily skin, so I may have to powder. 😊
I’m so pleased with the CT foundation, I couldn’t get to grips with the Lisa Eldridge though, got 2 shades which are both not exact matches for my light neutral skin, but I mix them and add my CT flawless filter and that works, but I’m reaching for the new CT most of the time!!
Dear Michele, thank your for this foundation summary. I would have loved to see a direct comparison (half face old version - half face new version) between the old and new Dior foundations. I still have some left from the old version and now I am afraid of using it up ;-) Kind regards from Germany
YAYAYAYAY!!! I bought the CT new foundation too!!! I really really like it as well!!! ❤️ For all the reasons you stated! 💁🏼♀️ and your up to 199K!! Any day now… 🎉
Hi Michele. I don't care for foundations with SPF. It's never enough to protect your skin. I, like you, prefer a separate SPF. Have a great weekend! ❤❤
Ok, ok, you have sold me on the CT. I have been trying not to impulse buy because I am such a sucker for CT. But now I must. I am going to try the primer you recommend as well. Question: do you find the primer goes well over sunscreen?
loved this review. I too love the new Charlotte tilbury beautiful skin foundation! I would love to see where it comes in a top five of all time foundation review! do you use your lancome teinte idole ultra wear concealer with this foundation?
Thank you for doing this, Michele. I have the Nars and Charlotte Tilbury. I think I will try the Shiseido. We all buy so many foundations but I think it's necessary until we find the one that is just perfect for us, individually. The closest I have come, believe it or not, it is It CC cream, which is very light. I think I need to get your recommended Bobbi Brown primer. That might be what I am missing.
I just got the saie bronzer lightest shade and thank you it's perfect thank you for all your support and letting us know what the product does and how it works
Michele did you try the Lisa Eldridge foundation ? Sorry if I missed that video. Would love your thoughts! I love the Chanel No 1 foundation so much even if it’s for people half my age … really surprised how good it is !
I wanted to like the Chanel but it is definitely on the light end for coverage. I want to try CT out but rn it’s sold out on Sephora I think. Shame about the Diors. I liked the old Skin Glow, I still have half a bottle left. Looks like I won’t be repurchasing it!
Really tempted to try based on how awesome your skin looks. I also use the BB base with my dry skin. I’m usually the same or 1 shade lighter than yours. The foundation matched me as a 3N but since yours looks so perfect with the 2N I’m wondering… hmm If I wear Alabaster and Vanilla (just a tad dark) in Chantecaille, what do you think? Thanks, Michele! Love your channel
I just bought dior, the same shade 2n, I like the foundation, but I can completely agree with the color,it is much darker than I expected..now buying 0n shade so I can mix the right shade
Just to show how personal foundation choice can be - on my skin, the Dior Forever Skin Glow doesn't oxidise and does set with a slightly softer finish. Curiouser and curiouser 😊
I really love the new CT too though it is pretty light coverage on me. Might try it with a brush to see if it can be built up more. But I love how gorgeously glossy but natural my skin looks with this, even at the end of the day. The shade range at the pale end isn’t great though.
Could you please do a comparison review between the Chanel & the Tom Ford shade & illuminate foundation….I’m really interested to know you POV on both ❤️
Good morning my friend 💓. I love the way your skin looks today !! To only have two that were duds is really great to me. Not everything is going to be perfect. It is sad as usual when companies change a formula that you love, it never seems to be better. I feel that your list may change again since I’m sure more will come out in March for the summer line. Kiss miss butters this am. Love ya 💕

Hi Michele I’m new to your channel. Ty for your videos which I’m starting to watch. My mom has your same exact skin tone and your reviews of these foundations really help me in finding the proper shade for my mom. Ty
Me too 🥲🥲 I love Dior so much but that particular foundation, sadly, made my skin look ugly. My pores, my fine lines, even those little imperfections on my skin just appeared and flaky. Why oh why Dior. I even have 2bottles bcs it's oxidized so badly. At first, 2n matched my skin perfectly, but then it oxidized, so I bought shade 1n, but still, the finish didn't do my skin any good. God.. if only I found your video before I bought it, I would never buy it in the first place. I'm so saddd 😭😭 but surely I will try the Charlotte tilbury soon 🌟
Thanks, Michele. I don’t know what it is about that CT Beautiful Skin but it simply doesn’t work for me. Like you, I have dry fair skin. I find the colors are all two sallow. And it doesn’t give me a glow at all. Even with the Magic Cream. Not in the way that her Light Wonder foundation does, which I adore. I am going to try and find that Chanel 1 but I am told that it’s only in boutiques in my area, which is SoFla.

@@megpeiffer7690 I know! I don’t know what to do. Everyone keeps saying how nice my skin looks with it on so I might give it another try. Maybe with a mattifying primer.
@@brushjunkie6384 would love to hear how that goes for you!
I’d just return the Dior. You have lots of options you really love, so why force something to work if you don’t love it? Just my 2 cents 😉😊👍
I was thinking the same thing. I know she loved the other version, and this one…. Well, it’s a swing and a miss.
Wait, you can return a foundation that has been opened? I wished we could in France :( I have so many with the wrong shade or who didn't performed well on me...
@@Manon_Ferrari certain retailers in the US allow returns on opened beauty products.
@@Manon_Ferrari at Sephora you can here in the US. Not sure about other places
Gord.
How about Lisa's - where will it sit?
Wouhou Michele! Near 200k! Wow! Congrat!
🎉
I’m really curious about the Shiseido one!
I was hoping you would do a ranking. Now I'm interested in knowing how the Surrat Dew Drops ranks in comparison to your new favorites. I have a small stash of foundations so am in no hurry to purchase more right now.
Me too
I have 3 of the 6 foundations you mentioned - Shiseido skin tint (love), Chanel No.
Michele, I'm soon to be 48, and have like you very dry (and also really sensitive) skin, and this is finally a formula that's absolutely Perfect for me, All Day long 😊
Thank you for your review (and also for all your other wonderful and often calming uploads) - I got mine from Selfridges (London) just after watching your video.
Also, Butters... 😍 Dogs are inherently good and we are so lucky to share our lives with them. I'm sure we agree they are a true blessing all round.
Big hugs to you both and all the best
Thank you so much for your all day wear tests! This means so much to me because I work mornings and evenings. You have a new subscriber! 😍
I don't care for the new CT foundation. I knew it wasn't full coverage but I thought it would better cover the dark spots on my cheeks. Plus my texture was emphasized. I powdered it and it looked a bit better. I have Nars coming in a Sephora order. I think I'll like it better.
Hi @jann, can you pls update how you like the nars as compared to ct
I got the Nars and I totally LOVE it, it just blew my mind, it’s so lightweight I feel like I wearing no foundation at all and my skin looks beautiful. I know foundation is a very personal choice, what works for some doesn’t work for others. Nars is definitely doing wonders for me and I think I just found THE ONE. But it’s just my personal experience.
@@Lulu-Walker hi thanks for your comment..did you try CT as well ?
I’m in love with the Chanel No 1 foundation. I’m excited I’ve found something so nice, I don’t feel the need to try anything else. It’s beautiful.
What is your skin type? Curious as I would like to try it myself. I would be quite dry in the morning and progressively my skin gets oily 🥵
My skin is pretty normal but I can also get oily in my t zone especially when the weather is warmer.
Thank you so much for your honest review dear. Ill buy tha chanel n1 one cause i think i need more nourish one foundation❤
Can you please show us how you apply and how much you apply on your face for theses foundations? Thanks Michele
Hey Michele 💖💜 it’s so crazy how many foundations come out at the beginning of the year.
I sure hope the previous Dior foundations aren’t gone forever - I’ve been such a fan. I like the Dior backstage face and body foundation also.
The CT foundation looks beautiful on you Michele! Wonderful video!💖
I agree!! I absolutely love the new Charlotte tilbury foundation!
I coundn't take my eyes from your lips! This palette is beautiful!
What a bummer about Dior.
(oxidation is a hard no)
Thanks Michele
🌿🕊️💕🌍
I got the Chanel No 1, so far so good, very very nice! Im looking at getting my first Tom Ford eye palette, how do u rank them?
I absolutely love ranking videos--Thank you! I haven't tried any of these yet, so I really appreciate this video!
This was really helpful, thanks Michele! I’m currently hooked on my first bottle of the La
Mer, and I can’t seem to rationalize getting anything else while I’m working through it.
THANK YOU!
I love your videos and how honest the review is. I've looked for these detailed reviews for years. thank you for making this
Hi Michele, I just came across your channel cos I'm looking for good foundation for dry asian skin, lo and behold, you're a perfect match for my search :-) I myself am 46 years old and I was just thinking we'll be looking for the same things we need in our make-up products.
I’ve been enjoying the CT foundation too. I like the little bit of glow too and surprised how long it stays on.
Thanks for this review Michele. How might you rate Lisa Eldridge’s foundation. I have used the new Chanel and Charlotte Tilbury ones but much prefer Lisa’s. Btw, I am 68 with normal skin and I get a beautiful natural yet perfected finish.
Thank you!! Excellent analysis. I really appreciate your reviews and you are beautiful!!
You are so awesome 👏 and appreciate your honesty with your reviews especially Dior foundation. Thank you ☺️
Another great video, Michele!
Thanks for sharing!!
so excited to try CT foundation this weekend! taking it to Cancun and see what shakes out :P thank you Michele ❤
Any day now… 🎉
🎉
Thank you for a great video. Im always interested in the latest foundation. 😀
Great review! I really like only light coverage. Would you still say Surratt is still your holy grail, or did one of
these bump it out?
Sehr interessant. Ich habe auch schon viele Foundation ausprobiert. Meine liebste ist die Armarni Luminous Silk und die IT Cosmetics CC Cream.
Where does the Lisa Eldridge foundation sit in this group?
The foundation matched me as a 3N but since yours looks so perfect with the 2N I’m wondering… hmm
If I wear Alabaster and Vanilla (just a tad dark) in Chantecaille, what do you think?
Thanks, Michele! Love your channel
I'm so glad CT was no. 1. I have ordered it, and I've been wondering if I made a mistake and I should have gotten the Nars. I feel better now.
Omg I can't wait to try the new Chanel is it buildable for those not so great skin days 💞🙏🏽💞
Great video! Can't wait to try the Charlotte Tilbury foundation!
Loving Chanel No. 1 …. Perfection for me
Could you please do a comparison review between the Chanel & the Tom Ford shade & illuminate foundation….I’m really interested to know you POV on both ❤️
This was my first CT purchase. We shall see how that foundation works.
Love ya 💕
💗
This is so helpful! I was vacillating between the Nars and the CT. I went with the Nars, but I think I might have to go get a sample of the CT to try.
Hey Michelle I think the Charlotte tilbury foundation looks beautiful on you when you reviewed it a few days ago it looked very skin like & very pretty on the skin great video 🌺🌸🌷🌹🇬🇧
I adore your reviews! I love your top two also-have you tried the mufe?
Finally someone with dry skin trying the Charlotte Tilbury. Thanks! Definitely adding that to my basket! 😍
Queen! I was waiting for this!
Friday foundation rates with Michele 👏👏👏👏💕
