The only gripe I have with this reel is the weight, but that goes with the size of the reel th-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I brought this salmon fishing up in Oswego, NY. I coupled it with a Cabela's Whuppin Stick. I had no problem pulling in a 14lb salmon. I will probably use this for surf fishing this summer and downgrade to a 3500 series Battle II next salmon season to save my wrists. All of the operations are butter smooth and the bail is nice and thick and has a solid flip to it. Everything about this reel is sturdy and strong. The drag system held up to the salmon and was also super smooth. I did use a scale to set the drag properly before going out to the river and this worked out tremendously. A bunch of other guys on the river would hook up and snap almost immediately. Just because you have a good drag system doesn't do anything if you don't set it correctly.

Your Kickin Spincast combo would be perfect to target those crappie in your nearby ponds/lakes. Tie on a double jig rig using 1/32 and 1/16 jigheads and have the time of your life. The thump on this rig is awesome.

Went to lake allatoona in ga. Caught bout 25 fish all different species white bass,hybrid,stripper and couple spotted bass, n 1 crappie. Had a blast can't wait to get my spin combo and do alot more fishing in 2022.
AMAZING VIDEO but I have a suggestion, get some 6-10lb braid, tie and 8-12lb flouro leader on the kickin combo or my favorite, 6ft light action rod and put a trout magnet hook(1/64 oz) or up to 1/32 oz and put a lunker city fin-s shad not fin-s fish and you will catch SOOO much fish on it! My favorite micro lure and works every time, works amazingly in creeks. Smaller than what you’re throwing and might not catch the biggest bass but will catch the most species! You can get all of this on basspro.com and you might be able to find on Amazon. You might not be able to find it in stores. Set your drag loose as these hooks will bend out with heavy drag and the hooks are so small that they could easily pop out with too tight of drag. Bump it kind of fast like a Texas rig or work it fast sub-surface like a fluke. And one last suggestion if you want to catch big bass and numbers… throw a Ned rig!

For micro fishing I slay all species of fish using an ultralight combo with 4 lb fluorocarbon paired with a 1 inch shad colored gulp minnow and a 1/64 oz jig head. Definitely the juice for any species and any size. Work it just like you would a super fluke, but it's smaller so you want to allow more time to sink then just twitch the rod. Almost guaranteed to catch a fish every cast.

Yeah I caught at least 20 and the biggest was a 4 lber. Not bad for a Texas golf course pond but there is way bigger so hopefully I’ll get one soon. Great content man 👍🔥

Sorry I don’t have social media, but I did catch a PB, 6.23lbs large mouth bass, while wearing my brand new KTBTV Muscle Bass hat and Big Bass Energy lanyard. I have been ripping lips on the KTBTV spinning combo though. Caught a few 2lbs+ this week on it. That KTBTV hat is my new luck charm 😉

More expensive braids are typically thinner and have a nicer coating which makes them lighter and allows them to be cast further. There are some Japanese braids with a thickness of like 0.16 but instead of 10lb rating like PowerPro, it has a 22lb rating.
For micro or ultralight fishing, I typically use 6lb but I understand that might not work well in your area.. use as light braid as possible, maybe 10lb and with a thin leader as well. I personally use 10 to 12lb leader. and of course, having a rod rated to throw light lures helps. :)
don't underestimate these thin lines and rods, so long as your drag is set right. I've caught a 9.7lb seabass before on 6lb main line. just gotta play the fish.
If you love bait casting setups, there are BFS platforms out there that will throw what you're throwing with no issues at all.

I went last Friday at seventy-five degrees and caught 6 small bass an one three pounder. Bass colored lipless crankbait from Casey's.
If you do another micro fishing video you should use an inline spinner. My favorite one to throw is a mepps. You can buy em at walmart or anywhere really. I catch bass crappie and bluegill. I think you'll enjoy fishing with one.

The best ultralight lures I've found so far are Mule Fishing donkey tails and the donkey tail Jr.

Sup Noah. I'm in RI. Lately been using some micro lures like spinnerbait, crankbaits and jerkbaits. But new to me are micro jigs and chatterbait, think strike king? I get a freezer with crappie, and cought bunch 3lb bass nice for RI. On the micro chatterbait did get a 4lb 13oz bass. Time for everything I guess? Ty tc
