2022 Hyundai Tucson PRODUCTION LINE - The first production of Tucson in the US

- Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) celebrated the launch of the all-new 2022 Tucson SUV on Monday, February 22, 2021. The Tucson joins the Sonata and Elantra sedans and Santa Fe SUV on the Montgomery assembly line. This addition marks the first time that the Tucson has been assembled in the United States, and the first time HMMA has produced four vehicles at once.
“Hyundai Motor Company brought Tucson production to the U.S. because we have proven our ability to build world class automobiles,” said Ernie Kim, President and CEO - Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama. “Today, the Hyundai brand has positive momentum in the marketplace, thanks to the expanding lineup of sport utility vehicles. The new Tucson will continue that momentum in 2021.”
HMMA recently completed a plant expansion project to support adding the Tucson to HMMA’s product mix. The addition of the Tucson will further enhance HMMA’s ability to adjust its vehicle production with market demand and stay competitive in the ever-changing automotive market.
“Adding this fourth Hyundai vehicle to HMMA’s production lineup will help the Hyundai brand meet the growing demand for SUVs in the North American market,” said José Muñoz, President and CEO - Hyundai Motor North America. “It will also better position HMMA to fully utilize its vehicle assembly capacity.”
The addition of the Tucson will continue to sustain high-quality jobs at HMMA and throughout its supplier base. Tucson is Hyundai’s best-selling model globally and represents its vision for progressive design, eco-focused powertrains and segment-leading technologies. HMMA will supply internal combustion versions of the Tucson to the North American market, including Canada and Mexico.
The 2022 Hyundai Tucson will begin arriving in U.S. dealerships this spring.

I have seen this car and it just looks even better in person. You can't really tell how the body and how luxurious the interior is until you see it in front of your eyes. Great car!

한국은 파일럿 라인만 남기고 공장 다 밀어버리고 물량 해외에 다 줘야함. 국내 소비자가 봉임?? 같은 회사 물건이라도 저렇게 진지한 태도로 만든 물건 사고 싶음.

일단 미국과 한국 공장 생산성이 너무 심하게 차이 나더라구요
선진국 공장 애들은 유니폼도 제대로 갖춰 입고 .. 안경 이니 마스크 니 규정대로 원리 원칙대로 차고 일하고 .. 작업 환경도 비행기 공장처럼 정리가 잘되어 있고 깔끔하고 한국 공장은 사설 정비소 느낌이고 .. 중국 애들처럼 어떤 놈은 안그래도 누더기 같은 옷 입고 있는데 .. 가슴은들이있는 동양 헤 치코 일하는 놈이 있는가하면 .. 이러니 서구 애가하면 .. 이러니 서구 애가있는 모습보고 깔보고 .. 미국 공장은 흑인이고 히스페닉이고 여자 고 다들 일만 열심히 잘만하는데 한국 공장은 무슨 30 대 40 대 남자 놈들이 단순 작업하면서 뭐 대단한 거하는 마냥 뻐 기고 집단으로 뭉쳐서 만 이익 만하고 ..

Hyundai Tucson é meu sonho que não tenho como realizar. Eu fiz meu cunhado comprar um assim que chegou pela primeira vez no Brasil. Sou mega fã da marca, mais infelizmente não tenho como comprar um. Parabéns Hyundai pelos belíssimos carros.
I bought a 2022 Tucson Limited AWD about a month ago (altho mine was made in Korea) As hard as it is to get a car right now, I was just happy to get one. It's a great car- safety, style, comfort & high tech all on one well made package. I traded in a 2011 Elantra for it and I never had to do a thing to that car beyond routine maintenance- not one repair! As long as Hyundai makes cars like that I will keep on buying them. Test drive a 2022 Tucson and you will want one!

I've been fortunate enough to drive one of the new Tucson hybrid (UK 1.6 turbo petrol + electric), and I love it even more than my current 2017 Tucson 1.7 diesel Sport Edition (146BHP). I am looking forward to getting one later this or early next year. My current Tucson has been excellent in every way except fuel economy, which for a diesel I think is very poor at an avg of 34mpg and a best of 44mpg. Even my previous 2 litre Ford Kuga (also diesel with similar power of 150BHP), managed an avg of 42mpg with a best of 51mpg.
The new Tucson hybrid managed a respectable 46mpg of combined driving, which is very good considering it has almost 100BHP more than the outgoing model.
Anyone thinking of buying an SUV in this class & price range should have a thorough test drive of the new hybrid Tucson, as it's got so much going for it, and you get a huge amount of car for your money :)

This is an absolute HOME RUN for Hyundai. The CRV and RAV4 are great, but I think this Tucson could be champ with an edgy and fresh design and amazing interior. Those DRLs are so unique..the best in the industry imo. Such a great looking vehicle..simply wow.
Only those made in the USA. The ones made in S. Korea are terrible in quality. That is why you see so many Koreans commenting here admiring the US made Hyundais and saying bad things about quality control in Hyundai factories in Korea. I purchased a CRV imported into S. Korea over the new Tucson made in Korea. I am so happy that I did so.
