I have at least one more jump on my bucket list which, since I'll be 75 in November, I better get to work on. Hope to meet you one day at the Deland DZ. Keep up the good work.
Great video. A few points on sizing. New containers are sized to the height and weight of the first user, so if buying used, you want to buy one that matches your size. And containers are also sized to parachute sizes. Beginners should be on lightly loaded (big) parachutes (both main and reserve), so you want a container suitable for a larger parachute and reserve. Your instructor or rigger can give advice on good starting sizes for main and reserve, and that can then be used to pick an appropriate container.

Just my opinion, remember experienced jumpers who didn’t have one or not turned on, get and always use an AAD. I recently returned to sport after over 20 years out and an AAD was as mandatory a purchase to me as a reserve parachute.

Hey Salvador! I just did my first tandem jump on Saturday. I was just wondering if something like a double malfunction on your main and reserve parachute is something I should worry about. I was thinking of getting into this and starting my AFF courses. Based on your experience, have you ever had a bad parachute malfunction and had to use your reserve? Also how many jumps have you done?
I have about 350 jumps now and I’ve never had to deploy my reserve parachute. It’s safe. Also the odds of a double mal are low. Congrats on taking action! Wish you the best in your journey!
but isn't it more "safer" buying a brand new rig than a used one that might have some fault or damage to it already that both party might not be aware of? like buying new vs old car. I mean if money isn't a issue I'd say buy new stuff.

What is downsizing???
When you start jumping a smaller size canopy
@@SalvadorChangg does that offer advantages at more advanced levels of jumping? Sorry if the answer is obvious, I’m still looking into getting into skydiving and don’t know much
Just bought my first rig. Mirage g4.1, optimum reserve, spectre, vigil cuatro. Hope you picked up an aad my man
I have an AAD now and congrats!! That’s sickkk!!!
@@SalvadorChangg appreciate it, keep up the good content!
Dude you need a huge mirage logo tattoo on your back😮
Why would I get that?
👍
I’m a 6’2” -280lb guy. Who will get me to my A license?
Save lots of money
Go broke trying to fund your dreams lol
@@SalvadorChangg that is exactly what I am doing save it to spend it
AADs are $1200!

but isn't it more "safer" buying a brand new rig than a used one that might have some fault or damage to it already that both party might not be aware of? like buying new vs old car. I mean if money isn't a issue I'd say buy new stuff.
ok nvm. good point about sending it to a rigger for a complete professional check. lol
Yup. Just like you would send a used car to a mechanic to be looked over before you buy.
