    Were the arrows enough to help you navigate the entire loop? Or were you able to use phone, app, or a gps signal to help?

    • @RoadtrippinwithTakacs
      @RoadtrippinwithTakacs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi BC. If you keep your eyes peeled, it is possible. I personally wouldn't recommend trying it without an app and GPS the first time. A few arrows blend into the rock well. The GPS was very intermittent in there with the tall sandstone fins, so expect lots of navigation drift. Alison and I both loaded an Alltrails map on both phones, so we felt pretty comfortable.
      When are you planning on hiking it?

    • @bc9054
      @bc9054 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RoadtrippinwithTakacs We have taken the ranger lead hikes in fiery furnace before, but that was over 15 years ago. We have 3 permits for this Saturday, hoping to get 2 more so we can all go. I have a Coros GPS watch and also have alltrails as well as GAIA that I was planning on using to help.
      The video hyped me up a lot to get back in there! Thanks for sharing!!!

    how long did the hike take?

    • @RoadtrippinwithTakacs
      @RoadtrippinwithTakacs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I remember correctly, we spent between 3 to 4 hours in there, Jill. You could definitely do it in around 2 if you just follow the arrows like in the video. We took it slow and did a lot of side exploration and enjoyed a relaxed lunch.
