  • A wild night on a lake district fell top in the Jack Wolfskin II RT tent with my young son featuring Honey the wonder dog. Those gusts of wind take on an extra threat when you have your child with you. Careful pitching and tuning in the night won out and all were safe, warm, dry and had a great experience, but we did bail before it got any worse!

A lightweight waterproof coat for your dog would be handy for less wet dog in tent or car!

Charming video Dave, Your son and the dog could be up and coming YT stars ( you're fired ) ..kiddin. The Lighthouse looks like a nicely featured tent and pretty solid, just the old story of a tacking wind v a tunnel. Very entertaining, cheers and happy (midge free) camping. A

Great footage, I was on a campsite above derwent water during this storm in my vango halo pro 300. Crazy weather! 😬

These are very long. I had a good look in camping world. The vestibule is a good size. I'm just not quite sure the point. For me either I am lightweight, in which case the tent is a bit big (though 3kg is good) or I'm looking for a bit more height. I guess it's perfect for 2 people wanting to more than 3kg between them who want a vestibule you can conceivably sit two people in while cooking etc. I don't think it's big enough for a bike, but it is. Ertsinly more than big enough for three big back packs. So conceivably you could get 3 people snugly in here. And certainly the low profile is a positive for bad weather.

Camping world is doing these for £300 at the moment. Worthwhile?
