As a Battle cats player for one year, I have seen the flaws that differ from the original mechanics:
1. Each of the Cat units' trait targeting is not described enough, despite dealing such debuffs like Afterverse as a Kamikaze Area attack unit that slows/weakens somewhat ALL traits
2. Debuff Icons disappear quickly that cause the visuals to be anonymous, the position of the debuff icons are at separate positions unlike it was originally staying at the bottom corners of the unit.
3. At the start of the level, there are several missing elements: Money/Money CAP value, Bases' HP, the Worker Cat/Cat Cannon buttons, the pause menu button and the Sniper the Cat Icon, and lastly the cannon's range of attack as a normal Cat cannon
4. The Units' icon hitboxes were too small that cannot possibly be pressed unlike the mobile version, the units' pictures are tilted facing to the left instead to the the right, and were free to deploy without any pricing. All cat units start in a cooldown
5. Three units contradicted the flow of attack cycle and different set of multi-hit. Firstly, Giikatoo's unit who can somehow attack infinitely after his long foreswing yet having no trace of the idle/wait animation as he can freely move forward ignoring the forewswing animation. Next is KFJ_TH's unit who has a first rush attack and a slow 2nd hit, same as P.taGOraD's.
6. There are units that lost their attack hit and movement speed, KFJ_TH's and P.taGOraD's units lost their movement speed and the rush attack.
7. The first boss unit made by SoulReaper has an idle animation when it spawns, instead of starting its attack animation or simply move along with the boss shockwave just like KMineCH's boss unit spawn.
8. Missing visual elements of hit fog trace whenever units like Sanchez, NoysiKung200, BelleKurasaki and Chillwolf attack.
9. Missing soul animation after unit HP reaches 0, noticeably Yuan's unit at 1:25
10. KHMineCH's unit as a revived Angel trait was knocked back without reducing its standing range when the Cat Cannon attacks
11. There are confusing death animations when the units' HP reached to 0, Those are Giikatoo's and BellerKurasaki's units getting blown away the field
12. Sniper the Cat made by Bob2000 spawns in drastically late at time 2:09 instead at the start of the battle, it deals an area attack with no Knockback ability instead of a Single attack, it takes 16 seconds to fire again unlike the initial 10 seconds. At fullscreen mode, there is a major flaw at 4:38 where the Sniper attacked unit of Neswerd without a soul ascending, fire smoke(backswing) take too long to fade blocking the view of some enemies.
13. BellerKurasaki's unit is the only unit to have more than 1 knockback animation.
14. Myra's unit is missing a Strengthem ability icon at 3:00
15. MamiPipO's and KOONBOAT's sprites disappeared after Chillwolf's mini-wave attack
16. Enemy units have their own special death animations that do not follow because only Cat units can apply those.
17. KHMineCH's unit is the only unit having two opposite traits (Angel and Zombie) that can switch traits in appearance. It is also the only unit who has the Zombie trait having no appearance as a Zombie enemy and the only unit with opposite traits (Angel/Zombie)that no unit owns both traits in the game.
18. Sanchez's unit is the only unit who supports and does not make an attack to an enemy, therefore meddling units' position and attack range.
19. SoulReaper's unit has missing a freeze debuff icon to Cat units at some occurrences
20. The knockback duration is slightly fast that the units tend to recover faster. MittyCM's unit is the only unit who has a KB animation and not bouncing when getting knocked back
21. The boss' shockwave did not reset the Cat units' sprites.
22. Lastly, MamiPipO's unit is the only unit who can attack a different enemy after getting thrown by Sanchez's unit despite Neswerd's unit entered her attack range.
There are new details I like:
• The Sniper here deserves an Area attack because of the attack frequency the original provides and should be implemented at the real game to make of use of the Sniper.
• I like the Cat Base moving as an add-on whereas only rhe Enemy Base has a variety of animation on attack.
• You excellently followed all Units' knockback with their shadow bouncing along. As well as the abilities with a given % rate to them when they can activate.
• The units are really fun to use, especially your Mini Jz unit that has a cool multi-hit, MamiPipO's surprisingly crit punch like dealing high damage with low attack rate, and Afterverse having an insane amount of effort of that space effect backswing.
• The lineup with only one true form is so comparable, that most of us players tend to have our own playstyle of switching forms. All attacks are synced accordingly and no issues of delay as well.
• Despite Sanchez having a support role, we need units like him that the game has no supportive roles, with new and different actions and skills to render to the game.
• Battle Cats deserves a high quality style like all of these, the background combined with Volcanic style and normal Plains is a good example of a Zero Legends level, custom animation of sprites that differs every frame unlike the preused ones at the game, and more fun custom souls that really added a palette and entertainment of dying units.
I'm going to say this is a massive masterpiece of a project and I really loved it at first sight because the flaws really had a vibing experience of new 1.0 release. I love this kind of group animation of you JzBoy and to all your friends. Hoping you can make another Battle cats animations soon 💜.
