MJ Cole, Todd tha god Edwards n Groove Chronicles are the architects of proper garage music 🎵🎶.... not the rubbish that's overplayed on kisstory but the real definition of the genre that was playing on London pirate radio during the mid to late 90s before the MCs and moody baselines ruined the sophisticated, cheeky n sexy vocals n harmony.... nothing winds me up more than people who don't know or appreciate how it's supposed to be and prefer commercial garbage over the pure vibes 😜
Top marks for Flava Fever, and the Boxclever ‘Talk to Me’ mix but penalties for not including the MJ Cole tracks released under the ‘Matlok’ pseudonym. 8/10
MJ isn't a god (no one is or should be) but it's about time many of you stop saying Todd Edwards is, he's no way above MjCole and I say that humbly from a Composer / DJ / music lover since I was a child perspective. I still have many vinyl's, TH-cam only has only five percent of music that was ever created, lots of remixes and full tracks were pressed, danced to at clubs and events but never registered, for those who were breathing back then and even had a radio would've heard lots of music they're desperately still searching the web for, since vinyl has slowly become an old thing to cd and usb DJing, more vinyl shops have closed and possibly vinyls have been melted down or at various dump sites because fools seriously believe the digital is the way forward, when everything crashes which it will and more times than expected, all old things will be lost besides our own memory in our own heads of that isn't secretly being erased subliminally through whatever tact. Last but not least, Mjcole is lost the only one who cuts vocals with no trick's, he works around the vocal with s little transpose here and there to retain singers abilities and understanding of words being said... #djlnr
