@@TimothyPLivingston Someone called P man wanted to know your heighth because they were a tall family, and wanted to get an idea of relative ceiling heighths... Btw those little windows are a real quirk that add light.
oh man...you'd have to be one of those crafty people that are good with their hands. I'm more the stand back and yell encouragement to your genius. But YES, this would be lovely at Christmas
I was born, raised and still live in Connecticut. I love the old houses and history we have here. This is a beautiful replica of days-gone-by. The fireplace with the beehive oven is the icing on the cake. I myself would have put in a claw foot tub or something that is closer to period. I would also use wooden cabinets instead of pedestal sinks. This to me says home with family and friends. ❤❤
Hello Phyllis, I am a dyed in the wool New Englander. When I was growing up in the late forties the tradition cape cod home at Christmas sported candles in all the windows, a large fir or pine wreath with a red bow. The simplicity of the decor was perfect for this classic home. Where ever I’ve lived I have kept this tradition. My neighbors always comment on the look of my home at Christmas. I’m now living in Canada and still enjoy the simplicity of this iconic cape cod Christmas look. Happy Christmas to you.
I love this home! So nice to see colors and character! Gray, brown and white have overstayed their welcome. This home is old fashioned in the very best way.
This home makes all the typical (boring) modern homes look useless.... People's needs are changing, and I like how this home utilizes all the extra storage spaces that quite frankly, ppl need now. Families are returning to their roots right now and gardening, diy and homemade. This home does a great job bringing that back. Hope there are more out there!
*_Hello everybody, I'm Home_* !!! No matter how hard they try to push a trend, people are usually drawn to a natural, warm and cozy, lived-in feel. White sofas, glass tables, chrome and faux fur pillows - It's like walking into an interior decor magazine. Don't dare leave your shoes on. Do not put your feet up on the couch!!! It may be pretty to look at, but far from practical and comfortable. What usually happens when we decide to wear white for a day? HOME is definitely where the heart is, in this refuge. Thanks for the share.
Blown away!!! The way they used the space in the home is stellar. My favorite part is the cook fireplace. I can imagine the smell of bread in that little oven, and a nice stew bubbling on the hearth. The headboard you showed in the first upstairs bedroom is exactly like my mom's and goes perfectly in this style of home.
I could also imagine this with a Russian stove instead of a cooking fireplace that would even help keep the upstairs warm. You could even put a bread oven into the Russian stove.
I think this is the most beautiful home you’ve shown. I would definitely do away with the bathroom in the kitchen and make that the laundry room/ half pantry. That front office would be a really nice master suite too.
Also love those multi light (Payne's) in the windows, very rare to see 8 over 12 like this home had just love this whole home and for once think it's worth the extra $$$.
Why are the utilities spread out in the cellar ? The oil tank in one corner, the water tank in another and the furnace in another. It makes the cellar difficult to finish off with a rec room , etc.
Those beam ceilings. The whole house is wonderful. I like how the chimney stack is in the centre of the house, so it keeps all the heat from the thermal mass inside the house and heats both floors.
What a delightfully different beautifully crafted home! The builder did a fantastic job of seamlessly integrating finely detailed colonial elements with modern conveniences. It captures the solid craftsmanship of an earlier time. When I first saw the price, my jaw dropped. But this is a very special design with countless colonial artisan details which cost a lot to build and require expert cabinet makers and carpenters. It's a wonderful unique piece of art in a sea of drywall. You just can't find homes built like this anymore. It's perfect for building in a historic district and wonderfully designed to support multi-generational families. That said, I don't think I would have put fiberglass baths/showers in the bathrooms because they look oddly out of place, but the rest of the house probably broke the bank. Thanks for this beautiful tour!
Yeah, the shower/bathtub enclosures were a a shock. Think I'd want delft tile instead, with glass shower divider because it felt dark and claustrophobic. The doors on the closets etc really resonated and added a ton to the feel. Magical!
Floorplan at 3:01 The house has good bones. Like the simple, classic design. It would take well to many decorating styles with a little adjustment. The "working" fireplace would be really nice if you have to deal with frequent power outages. My dog would love the small, lower windows upstairs. The farmer's porch is a must. Think I'd have a long porch on both sides of the kitchen. Porches are workhorses for my life. Definitely needs an upper floor laundry, and a dedicated mudroom space downstairs... Reminds me of both the first and second house I lived in.
I love the center chimney. That isn’t a dormer; it’s a shed roof. The “L” addition to our 1825 Greek Revival had a shed roof too. Just in case, the pumpkin pine floors are definitely not dog friendly. Our two Golden Retriever’s made a mess of ours.
Tell Jen thanks a lot for finding this beautiful home! This puts me in mind of an early colonial home. I wouldn’t change a thing. But I would finish out the basement, and have space there for the washer plus the dryer! I am in love with this home. Thanks Guys!
What a sweet sense of a bygone era, this home is a work of art! Very detailed and crafted expertly for sure, but I do miss a good pantry and large walk-in closets! Thanks Jen, great period find….love to see more of these! And perfectly toured as always by you, Mr. Tim, God bless!
Wow 🤯! This home is just absolutely gorgeous on all levels! Beautifully done and very inspirational! My absolute favorite part is really the whole house! I could certainly picture my family in a home like this! Thank you Tim for another great tour! I’ve become such a fan of your channel because all your tours are just fabulous!
So happy to stumble across this presentation. I’ve always wanted to see this home as I drive by it all the time and live in this great yet small New England town. Thank you for choosing this to share this picturesque home with us.
Love that house, how could you want anything more. The fireplace is amazing. The "old" look about the inside and the way it's decorated makes it seem warm, friendly and very comfortable.
This video just popped into my stream! I live in town and this building company builds these post and beams with solid construction ethics. The store next door, Tessier's Changes of Thyme, provided the furnishings. This is my dream home. Thank you for the home tour!
I think you just toured My home, love love love this home and My furniture and decor looks like it was custom made for this home, love the warm old fashioned look and feel of this home, it's like the whole home welcomes you in and makes you feel like you're at home and in a warm safe place.love the colors everywhere and those pine floors are just absolutely gorgeous. I'll take that home as it is shown just got to figure out where my laundry goes but I think I already got that done just keep it to myself. Going to save this one and Play it again.thsnks for the tour of this fabulous awsome home.
they weren't quite as polished, but my bedroom floor had those great big pine plank floors when I was a kid. You'd find a hole in your floor from the knot shrinking and falling out. People didn't care for them like they do now. This sure took me back, and I loved it. Thanks!
The home is beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous, warm, cozy, loving and inviting. Actually quite roomy & workable for a family. Tk y 4 sharing such a lovely tour of Americana. I simply love it! God bless our U.S.A.❤❤❤😊
I love this home! I live in a home that has the stove in the island. Never thought I would like like that feature but now I would not live in a home with out it. Thank you for the tour.
My house, vintage 1700's, in Duxbury Mass was a Cape style that DID have an 'EL' - kitchen, summer kitchen and shed. Love the 12 over 12 detail in the windows. Rather than the single entry stair case, my house had a ship or double stair cases - one to the right, one to the left - to the 2nd floor. I exposed the 'pit sawn' ceiling beams many of which still had remnants of bark, visible mortise and tenon and roman numerals carved into the beams for construction purposes. House in the video very authentic w/ many modern changes.
All time favorite... half way expected to see horse and carriage out front. Seen a show before where a man tore down an original salt box home that had square head nails of which they no longer make. But so excited to see that this home had many original style hardware in it. Details and craftsmanship superb! Thank you for the showing to both of you. 😃
Amazing how they nailed this. We need a builder like this in Canada. Although I'm not sure one exist. Great attention to detail. Love how they incorporated the modern of our daily life seamlessly. I'm in love.
I do love this home! So simple yet completely thought out for ample storage. I love the style, the craftmanship -- at least in appearance, the upstairs with the slanted ceilings has always been a favorite as well. Oh the basement!!!! WOW SPACE!! I might redesign the utility items so that the space could be utilized more efficiently, but that's because i grew up having a functional basement. Oh i love this!! Ill be watching uour channel to see what else you show us!! THX ❤
I would change the master bedroom to have it's own bathroom so not so much open space when you go up the back stairs. I also would need much more kitchen cabinets both upper and lower so would need to know how that could be achieved and look. Your know that little oven in the fireplace was a bread oven.
incredible! I want to build this house for our forever home. Such a great layout, and well done on all the little details. Feels 200 years old, in a good way
I LOVE THIS MODEL!! It is in my top two favorites that you have toured, so far. My other top favorite is “The Novarra”. I would love to build this somewhere on 5+ acres with Mountain View’s, Colorado, Wyoming, or Montana. I love the extra wide pine floors and all of the storage. I might use the narrow space off the kitchen as a open pantry. I would want to screen in the porch off the kitchen. I would want to create a driveway and either a porch or exterior window cladded vestibule at front of the house. I also love the windows they used. Thank you for all the work you do for your videos.
Excellent cellar, saves on tons of energy, warmer in the winter, cooler in the Summer. Where viable all new home construction should require basements.
I am in love with that house! Living in Vermont, there's nothing like a cozy colonial house. The saltboxes are my favorite, and witch windows are fun to find up here, too.
@@merisehetherington9785 they're rectangle but turned on-point, so you COULD call them diamond, I suppose. This model re-creation doesn't have one, I was just making a statement that I love seeing them up here.
I actually live in a re-constructed colonial home, with many original features. This home replicates many features that are spot on. Nice attention to detail and design. Some wasted space by the floor one fireplace and a couple others but for the most part, well laid out. The cubby hole storage is a plus/ Nice job. Video was well timed and informative.
I love this house and the furnishings! I'm not loving the colors but that's easy to change. I would cook in the fireplace sometimes and use the brick oven, especially when there is a power outage.
Super nice place. I'd personally use that Library area as my computer office. That area that was set-up as a small office by the Bathroom and Keeping Room would be my Pantry. I'd have the back of the house where the second stairs are and the Half Bath reworked upstairs so a residential elevator could be put in and have a Laundry next to it...it would take a dormer to the left and to the right or raise the roof back there. Just thinking, the part of the house where the two Bedrooms are side by side could be added on to. Maybe add 4'. What came to mind is in some areas by code you have to have a built in closet to call a room a Bedroom. A realtor would only list it as a 2 Bedroom with no fixed closets...the one did have it sort of built in. Add 4' and you could do more to make a real closet in those 2, like add a little dormer where the closets would be. That 4' would make the Living and Dining areas a bit bigger too. I noticed in the walk around there was a Basement Bulkhead by the smaller porch, under the Kitchen window. That would be nice for utilities servicemen rather than go through the house. I'd keep that.
I love this house, but I would not put my cooktop in the island. My cooking style requires an overhead vent, so even a downdraft type wouldn't be effective enough. I like having the second stairway and the upstairs room that could have many uses.
What a cool house!! I am in love with it. Wish I had known about this builder before we started our new home. Definitely would have made a different choice! Love it!

Of all the homes I’ve seen here, this is the best one yet and the first one I’ve actually gotten really excited about as a home and not a vacation home. It’s so beautifully designed and so much reminds me of my home when I was young. It’s also the first home I’ve seen that has made me want to visit the website and look around more. More of these in the mix, if you can, Timothy! I really have enjoyed your channel. I used to watch a few videos every time you popped up in my suggested viewing and finally decided to just subscribe a couple of months ago. Whatever was I waiting for?? You do a great job!
That kitchen fireplace is outstanding. I would teach myself how to do wintertime cooking there if I had one. I like the antique look that is throughout the house and how the TV is carefully hidden. I believe I would want Victorian style bathroom fixtures instead of the modern bathroom fixtures so the bathrooms would look like someone modernized their old colonial house in the 1800s when indoor plumbing became popular. It would be easy to make an in-law suite downstairs from the existing floorplan. I really like how the stairs have a little landing midway. It would not take much to design this house to be an off-grid property. Add real working shutters to help keep out cold or heat. Install a propane stove, a propane refrigerator and a propane on-demand water heater. Eliminate the microwave and the dishwasher and wash the dishes by hand. Maybe put in a Victorian style wood cookstove or an Aga at the other end of the kitchen away from the fireplace for wintertime cooking and house heating. Put solar panels on the roof of a detached garage or car port to power a well pump and the indoor lighting. Add one or two woodstoves on the upper floor for winter heating. Screen in the porch to turn it into a sleeping porch during warm weather. Put a split duct AC unit in the largest bedroom and power it with solar power/Tesla power bank. Make a firewood storage area in the basement and add a large woodshed outside. Wall off part of the basement, insulate that wall and door, put in ventilation to the outside and use as a root cellar to store home grown winter vegetables. I would put a washing machine, powered by solar, in the basement and add clotheslines for indoor drying on rainy days when I could not hang the clothes on outside lines.
Love the house except for having one of the full baths downstairs. It reminds me of my 1940s bungalow, which has a lot of finished nooks with shelves for storage space. One thing I like about the house you showed is that it's very spacious -- not every space is dedicated for use, so there's space just to move around in. I can visualize different family members or groups staking claim to some of the common spaces for hanging out.
PERFECT HOME except I would have a gas stove! I have lived in places where the power has gone out because of weather and your design which was after 18th c, would make it self sufficient! BEAUTIFUL!
I drive by this house nearly everyday as I live in the next towns over, always wondered how the inside looked. It truly is a beautiful home. Nice home but id imagine this home to be built would be over 500k-800k in CT due to customizations involved. beautiful but very expensive for sure!
I think the bathroom pedestal sink looked more victorian than colonial. I would have put a drop-in sink into a cabinet styled after the wood and cupboards in the house.
Hi Tim I don’t know how I missed this. This is my style of home. I love this home. I love the color and all the windows. Jen you found a marvelous home. I’d make a family room. Plus laundry room. I love the inside of this home. The furnishings are perfect for this home. Love the fireplace. Jen I want this home to. The kitchen is perfect to me. Tim this home is stunning. My favorite so far. Great narration and showing Tim! Jen you found the perfect home!
Good lord thats so affordable. 550k$ USD in a small Ontario city today gets you a two bedroom one bath 70's fixer upper with soft floors a crawlspace and a lot 25' larger than the foot print of the house.
This is a beautiful home. It has e everything I want in a home except 1st floor master. Oh, yes I love,.love,.love this home. Thank you for finding it and the tour.

I am in love with this house! Talk about straight out of the 18th century!
Beautiful. Loved the home. Definitely takes you back in time with the comfort of the 21st century.
It is PERFECTION! I want to raise a family in this house!!! 😭❤❤❤
Omg. I pass this house often and I thought it was built in the 1700's. Lol Now I know. It is such a pretty house.
Just perfect period home with the right amount of modern conveniences. How ever no hand held shower convenience
Excellent cellar, saves on tons of energy, warmer in the winter, cooler in the Summer. Where viable all new home construction should require basements.
Tell Jenn I think she has great taste and you should listen to her. I absolutely love love this one. This is the best one yet.
I love this. It reminds me of when I used to watch the Victory Garden with my grandfather.
Beautiful home. Very impressed . I like paper towels in bathroom great idea! Thats for sharing
Ideal, perfect. Who needs more or modern or McMansion. This has charm, comfort and ease like an old Tattersall shirt
I am in love with that house! Living in Vermont, there's nothing like a cozy colonial house. The saltboxes are my favorite, and witch windows are fun to find up here, too.
I thought Witch Windows were Diamond shaped?
@@merisehetherington9785 they're rectangle but turned on-point, so you COULD call them diamond, I suppose. This model re-creation doesn't have one, I was just making a statement that I love seeing them up here.
For her and you guys could make it a vacation home it's adorable!! You have a great eye Jen
This home is beautiful. Love it. My style definitely. “If only…”
I actually live in a re-constructed colonial home, with many original features.
Think an elevator is needed, as well as a laundry room.
A realtor in my area called a 'converted pantry' a 3/4 bedroom. That was desperate...
Love it!
Goodness, I am in love with this home. Thank you for sharing it.
Maybe move camera a bit slower? It is a lot to take in.
Gorgeous, so cozy!
I love it❤the colors, "true Americana"
Great House for this displaced Connecticut Yankee - this is very authentic! Thank you for this video!

My favorite
Love the house except for having one of the full baths downstairs. It reminds me of my 1940s bungalow, which has a lot of finished nooks with shelves for storage space. One thing I like about the house you showed is that it's very spacious -- not every space is dedicated for use, so there's space just to move around in. I can visualize different family members or groups staking claim to some of the common spaces for hanging out.
Love these homes! I live a couple of towns over from Bolton and love visiting this gorgeous period Cape. It would be my dream house too!
PERFECT HOME except I would have a gas stove! I have lived in places where the power has gone out because of weather and your design which was after 18th c, would make it self sufficient! BEAUTIFUL!
You can cook in the fireplace 😊
Be nice if the pickets on the railing were a bit closer together for a more traditional look, the exterior window sills could use some aprons.
Really like this totally different style home, really enjoyed watching this, Jen good job on finding this!
Love. Love this home..at one time this was my dream home..Americana beautiful...if I had a millon dollars this would be it..
Good lord thats so affordable. 550k$ USD in a small Ontario city today gets you a two bedroom one bath 70's fixer upper with soft floors a crawlspace and a lot 25' larger than the foot print of the house.
Wow that is beautiful. Thanks for sharing
Really Beautiful!!! Thank you for a wonderful tour.
Awesome home - Great use of every bit of space - the little windows should have cranks so they can open and the showers are a letdown
This is a beautiful home. It has e everything I want in a home except 1st floor master. Oh, yes I love,.love,.love this home. Thank you for finding it and the tour.
Since he’s a custom builder,I think that large study could easily be made into a first floor master.
I love that style. Very traditional.
My dream home. I’ve seen this home for a long time on their website but really appreciate the tour.
OMG! Timmy, you've done it! You've found my home! Now I just have to find the money. This place is just my cup of tea. Don't know how you find these places.
lol that's awesome! I have to give the credit to Jenn for finding it... she leaves no stone unturned!
