I think Romut is a metaphor game for beating cancer. The rooms, the darkness, the hallways, the empty walls, the isolation and the feeling of being alone is how my brother describes a hospital when he's confined and is in bed rest. He said that it's like he saw bright light when he came out of the hospital first time after months while he's in his wheel chair. He watched the kids playing at the park in a bright daylight in his wheelchair since he can't do the same thing anymore. Him beating cancer is like beating something that is sucking the life out him. But sadly he did not make it. It's sad, I miss him.

The last game reminds me a lot of Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart” with the bodies of under the floor and floor is breathing cus she knows she’s killed them the same way the main character in the book hears a constant ticking from the floor

My mom just walked into the room as soon as Jack said “look at that pipe! It’s so long and vertical.” And of course she had just shut off the vacuum so my volume was at max.
I didn't even realize that knock at 13:02 was in the game at first. I thought it was my siblings playing a prank walked into my living room realized my brother (who had seen what I was watching and I figured was playing a prank to try and scare me) was still cooking food and fgured it was my little sister. THe impending sense of doom when I realized she was further in the house sitting on a bed playing minecraft sent chills down my spine. I had this overwhelmnig sense of "Then who knocked on my window wait, no that's impossible." I had to go and rewatch that part of the video to realize it was the game. A+++++++ sound design Remut!!!!!

I'm so glad I could grow up with Sean's content. I remember being sick and unable to get up, unable keep myself awake for too long. It sounds sweet for the past Mirtsu, indeed. I never understood the obsession with height, myself being a man who doesn't really get all that bothered about it. Not only can I see the appeal in being either taller, shorter or the same height as me, as there are unique situations with all of them, but it's just so... irrelevant. I have my own physical preferences that can be quite strong and appreciated, but one can simply imagine seeing someone who ticks all your right boxes, including height, if that were the case, and then standing in front of them and saying "I would leave or refuse to even speak to you if your x was too much or too little, your mind only being considered after". Even before we consider how I'd want to vomit before saying that, anyone who wants love, and not simply a transaction, would not accept such terms.
For anyone who was even slightly interested: In the first game, the sound effects said "Gacha" for the door opening "Kashin" for the light switches and "KonKon" when there were knocks on the door. Also, in the fridge, on the container with the picture of the fish, it simply had the Kanji symbol for "Sakana" which means "Fish" The thing that looks like a milk carton was indeed a milk carton, as it said "Miruku" which means "milk" Anything else inside the fridge was too intelligible in this video, might be able to make it out if I actually played the game or saw the jpegs. Just. In case anyone was actually curious about this sort of thing. I think that covered every bit of Japanese text in the first game, anyway. EDIT: WOW. The Game "Tumor (Romut)" inspired me to this idea: What if, every time somebody gets sick / is ill, they need to shrink and "invade" their own body to actually fight off the (humanoid) virus / bacteria etc (whatever is making the person sick) and if they defeat the germ, they just need to grow again and return to their bodies and they are healthy again, but if they should die in this fight, they actually die. But if you only manage to injure them and they manage to get away (or they literally cannot be killed like a terminal illness), you aren't cured, the illness is just under control / weakend for the moment but can come back full force anytime - it's like an illness that can be controlled by medication but only be cured after taking it long enough - or never cured, just controlled in case of a terminal illness. This just popped into my head while watching Seán play this game xD
This idea reminds me of a level in a little big planet game (i think 2) , where you use a white blood cell to fight an infection another character (herbert higinbotham) has.

I didn't even realize that knock at 13:02 was in the game at first. I thought it was my siblings playing a prank walked into my living room realized my brother (who had seen what I was watching and I figured was playing a prank to try and scare me) was still cooking food and fgured it was my little sister. THe impending sense of doom when I realized she was further in the house sitting on a bed playing minecraft sent chills down my spine. I had this overwhelmnig sense of "Then who knocked on my window wait, no that's impossible." I had to go and rewatch that part of the video to realize it was the game. A+++++++ sound design Remut!!!!!

I'm so glad I could grow up with Sean's content. I remember being sick and unable to get up, unable keep myself awake for too long. Sean kept me company through many years and consequently taught me english haha. I remember crushing on Sean when I was younger and telling myself he could never date a girl as tall as me and now he dates Evelyn lol, it was such a cute moment for past Mirtsu seeing them together lol
It sounds sweet for the past Mirtsu, indeed. I never understood the obsession with height, myself being a man who doesn't really get all that bothered about it. Not only can I see the appeal in being either taller, shorter or the same height as me, as there are unique situations with all of them, but it's just so... irrelevant.
I have my own physical preferences that can be quite strong and appreciated, but one can simply imagine seeing someone who ticks all your right boxes, including height, if that were the case, and then standing in front of them and saying "I would leave or refuse to even speak to you if your x was too much or too little, your mind only being considered after". Even before we consider how I'd want to vomit before saying that, anyone who wants love, and not simply a transaction, would not accept such terms.
For anyone who was even slightly interested:
In the first game, the sound effects said
"Gacha" for the door opening
"Kashin" for the light switches
and "KonKon" when there were knocks on the door.
Also, in the fridge, on the container with the picture of the fish, it simply had the Kanji symbol for "Sakana" which means "Fish"
The thing that looks like a milk carton was indeed a milk carton, as it said "Miruku" which means "milk"
Anything else inside the fridge was too intelligible in this video, might be able to make it out if I actually played the game or saw the jpegs.

The Game "Tumor (Romut)" inspired me to this idea: What if, every time somebody gets sick / is ill, they need to shrink and "invade" their own body to actually fight off the (humanoid) virus / bacteria etc (whatever is making the person sick) and if they defeat the germ, they just need to grow again and return to their bodies and they are healthy again, but if they should die in this fight, they actually die. But if you only manage to injure them and they manage to get away (or they literally cannot be killed like a terminal illness), you aren't cured, the illness is just under control / weakend for the moment but can come back full force anytime - it's like an illness that can be controlled by medication but only be cured after taking it long enough - or never cured, just controlled in case of a terminal illness.
This just popped into my head while watching Seán play this game xD
