As a kid every summer around this time early 2000s I loved nothing more than watching the planes take off through the big glass windows inside manchester airport such fond memories
My word, the nostalgia. Back when Manchester was crawling with all kinds of bright, colourful holiday/charter airlines. Sad that the airlines these would later become have gone bust, and all that's left is TUI and Jet2, with I suppose Easyjet and Ryanair also flying to holiday destinations.
Imagine going to Manchester now and even seeing a 747 would be exciting never mind all these prop planes, DC10s and a😊 Tu154
This was a beautiful era in aviation 🔥🫶🏼

Never ceased to amaze me how steep those Balkan 154's were on take off. I used to see them at Glasgow and they went up like a rocket.
Yes indeed a really steep climb. Probably ex.military practicing steep climbs lol

Amazing the variety of aircraft back then!
Hard to believe 20 years ago now.
6:34 weird things
8:11 I never seen British airways fly with this aircraft at all in my life
BA 767's were quite regular visitors to Manchester. ATP were based at Manchester.
Old planes are the best
The days when Manchester had cargo flights !
